Thanks this will help me diagnose tonight driving along and truck cut out wouldn't start 237,000 miles been running great,I'll replace fuel filter and try your method
I have the same truck. In order to start in the cold you have to pump the key instead of holding it down. What that does is squirt extra fuel from the cold start injector every time you turn the key. Everything's working you just need more fuel so you do that by turning the key on and off a bunch of times to get it to finally bounce over the colder it is the more fuel you'll need
Hola, no he podido arrancar mi Hilux 22RE durante casi 2 años. Pensé que era la bomba y ni era, hice trabajar el relé y no enciende. Revisé las bujias y están bien. Le ingresé combustible de manera directa al cuerpo de aceleracion y arranca por unos segundos.
Hi bro thanks for the video. I have an 86 4runner, 22re manual transmission, and I am not getting power to the fuel pump. I replaced circuit opening relay with no luck. I have also tried jumping the connector under the hood, which bypasses the COR, and it still does not get power to it. Any suggestions? Thank you
Hey brother I am having the exact same problem with mine I changed the mass airflow sensor, and the open circuit relay, and the fuel pump. It will run on starting fluid while I spray it but as soon as I stop spraying it dies. Any suggestions?
@OSPNlive under hood beside the fuse/relay box is the diagnostic port on passenger fender. Open it locate Fp and B+ and put in a jumper wire. Turn key on but do not try and start. If the fuel pump is working at all you should hear it. If not check wires all the way to fuel tank and still may have to remove tank. Keep me posted and thanks for watching
Yeah mine did that and to get it going hit the bottom of the gas tank with a block of wood or something while somebody cranks it and it will start most of the time this won’t fix the problem but it can help you get it home or something
@@dragsterstransmissions Ouch, plugged or split? Lots of work for a small piece of rubber. I've stopped dropping tanks, much rather pull the bed. Dionosticly speaking I've exhausted most reasons/steps for a no-start. Can't determine if the fuel regulator acts as a failure point, really don't want to drop the fuel filter, ( brand new) Have power to pump, no humm or pump run sounds, nothing at the bango, e.t.c Thanks for the reply .
4 years ago I installed the complete fuel pump assembly that the truck owner bought from Amazon. Cheapest I'm sure. So fast forward to this video I ended up dropping the fuel tank removing the pump assembly to replace the rubber hose that connects the pump to the assembly. Hose is 1.5" long and it was of poor quality

And, in part 2, what did you find out? Thanks for this one..
@Cisko Kidd on that one I had to remove the fuel tank and replace a 2" piece of fuel hose at the fuel pump

Does the toyota have a fuel pump relay that can be checked
You check fuel pressure through the cold injection port with banjo adapter
Did you find the issue?

My noid light isn’t flashing I’ve checked the ground, no luck yet getting a ground
Mine is identical and doing the exact same thing.
@The Oursiders this job the problem ended up being a 2' fuel hose that is attached to fuel pump in the tank.
Mine is also spitting black smoke almost like it's getting 2 much fuel. U can feather the throttle and it will Rev up.
@@Bluecollar780 regulator
Pull the vacuum hose off regulator while it's running and see if it spits fuel
Just put a brand new one on it
Carbureted it.
