    The most important setting and first one to set when you buy a new monitor is sharpness 100%.

    Congratulations.. I also bought the same model, 4 days ago the monitor is super, very cool, the picture is clear, I really liked it, the build quality is perfect, I love Asus for that. I was looking for a very long time, the choice is good. when I tested the monitor I found on a pure white background a very small, one might say even imperceptible, one red dot, and on a black background there is also a very small whistling dot. you need to look very carefully, then it’s noticeable, I don’t know if this is a defect or not, but I’m not going to change the monitor for this, because there is no guarantee that the next one will not have these pixel bits. Yes, it shows high quality, it has a clear image, color rendition is the most important thing, and the frequency of 260 Hz is super

      Hii are you satisfied with colors, input lag (especially at 60hz) and everything in this monitor? does it have bad ghosting/blur, or flicker issues at 60 fps/hz when vrr (gsync compatible mode) is on? is this a good monitor overall?
      are colors accurate and realistic after you turn on srgb mode in monitor's setting (not oversaturated or undersaturated), i do web design, gaming, watch movies and some editing (premiere pro/photoshop) with it, so srgb color accuracy is important to me
      also some chinese reviews mentioned bad gamma curve in this monitor for some units (1.800 avg gamma which is bad compared to 2.2 standard), is that true? they mentioned it causes the monitor to look too dark in some scenes
      i would really appreciate it if you could answer my questions, i can't return the monitor if i buy it in my country

    Good job man, appreciate the review! You mention in the beggining that Alienware is still a better monitor but in the video description you say you prefer this one. Could you extrapolate which aspects are better/worse if you have some time? Thanks either way!

    • @Myst_iii
      @Myst_iii  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Alienware aw2723df has 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, so the colours are much better everything looks nicer however that monitor had dead pixel within 6 months twice for me. Asus one has lasted longer

    • @laimavalauskiene2790

      @@Myst_iii Thanks for the reply! I had the same issue with AOC ag274qs 1 dead pixel, have been waiting for a refund for over a month... Now I'm considering this monitor as it's a close replacement and tick many of the boxes. I'm very interested in it's ELMB Sync implementation because I am planning on using it with VRR (Freesync). If you have some free time maybe you could test it for a few minutes - whether monitor flickers and if there is a lot of artifacts while maintaining 240-260 hz refresh rate. I've seen you play Apex which is my main game. I'd suggest you to try ELMB Sync and fix your refresh rate with RTSS (so your GPU would not reach 99% this way you get way better input lag of the system if you want I can extrapolate more on that). If you don't like ELMB Sync only due to the fact it reduces brightness you can increase vibrancy, brightness and contrast in your nvidia panel which helps a lot. Have a good day Sir!

    • @Satvrnine
      @Satvrnine 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@laimavalauskiene2790 ELMB implementation is pretty bad. Lots of crosstalk. Actually the entire monitor is pretty bad. I don't know why people praise it like this. My unit has a BOE me270qhm-nf1 panel and the motion quality is really lousy. Response times are mediocre. Colors are oversaturated, the entire panel is green-shifted and has an overly-aggressive matte coating that makes it look grainy. You'd generally be much better off getting a lower-refresh monitor with better motion quality and latency/response times, unless you don't care about those sort of things. If you didn't though, not sure why you'd bother getting a 240hz panel.
      Honestly, the 1440p 240hz IPS options are just pathetic these days. Even the 27GR83Q is using me270qhm-nf6, which is a variation of the panel in the VG27AQM1LA. It might be tuned a little better (has 95% DCI-P3) and better factory color tuning, but it's still a variation of the same panel and probably has bad motion quality too. All the decent QHD 240hz IPS panels right now seem to cost $500+ for no apparent reason, and at those prices I'm not sure why you wouldn't just go for OLED anyway.

I've recently switched from a msi 1080p 144hz monitor for this monitor and this monitor is immaculate, but my old msi monitor has a feature to sharpen the image or I just may have to get use to it, I know I can use nvidia filters but I mainly just play fortnite which doesn't use nvidia filters, if anyone can reach out, thanks! 👍

    Do you think it would work at all to upgrade to this if I'm still sporting a 1080ti?
    Or should I opt to save up for a new GPU first?🤔
    Atm I have a few years old 24" 144hz FHD(1080p) Aoc TN monitor, its decent and I can game and stream with over 300fps in Overwatch 2 for example (atm capped to 360 as any lower causes screen tearing, idk why that happens😅), but the panel quality is kinda shit and I'd love a higher refreshrate and upgrade to 1440p gaming.

      @@GunslingerBrothers i'm going with either this vg27aqml1a monitor or rog xg27acs. also you can find more reviews about this vg27aqml1a monitor on bilibili website (chinese youtube).
      this is what i found so far:
      they mentioned 1200:1-1500:1 contrast ratio (which is amazing comparing to ips monitors) and 500-550 nits for hdr (way above hdr400). also good response times, they said 8.7ms for 60hz and 4ms for 120hz (and 3.5 for higher hz). you can also achieve 10 bit color if you set the refresh rate to 144 (as myst said in this video). the color accuracy of srgb space coverage was 99.6% and 139% srgb of gamut volume. dci p3 was also not bad tbh, some reviews measured 89% and some 92%. color accuracy can be improved after installing the driver and icm profile on asus website, but feel free to adjust the settings in nvidia control panel. also 1 review measured bad gamma curve (1.850) and one measured good 2.2 gamma curve, if your unit had bad gamma curve you can improve it by increasing gamma in nvidia(or intel/amd) control panel. i think this is one of the best ips monitors. the 180hz model (vg27aql3a) had better color accuracy but 850:1 contrast ratio only. same about the rog model (xg27acs). in the manual of vg27aqml1a asus says you can't change brightness in srgb mode but i asked 8 guys who had this monitor on reddit and they all said it's adjustable even when srgb picture mode is on

      I recommend 4070 ti Super for Nice 2k gaming
      the rtx 4070ti Super is the best available Nvidia graphics card for 2k with great performance and you will reach more than 100 fps in high settings in most games and if you enable dlss you might even get twice as much with frame gen and all, but considering you only play valorant and other fps games, an rtx 3060ti should hit 240+ easily(in valorant), if you're just gonna play fps games then its a good choice, and if your gonna play other games as well on the rtx 3060ti then i recommend a lower option like VG27AQL1A, but if you took my advice and got a rtx 4070ti super then get this monitor and pair it with a intel core i5-14600k(you will see no bottleneck) or a similar performance AMD CPU

    Hello hello, quick question if you don't mind. I'm gonna build my first gaming pc ever with a 7800X3D and a RX 7900 XTX and I'm currently looking at monitors to buy. I was looking for a 1440p 240hz monitor since my PC will be very capable, and I found this exact monitor used for less than 2/3rds of the price from a known retailer here in Norway (exact same warranty as new). I come from console gaming, and I'm a console gamer by heart so I was wondering if you have any knowledge about if this monitor works 1440p 120hz on PS5? The PS5 definitely supports it generally but some monitors just don't work because of some auto-detection bullshit idk. Not a deal breaker for me as I'm buying the monitor for the PC but would be good to know. Thanks!

      @cythix7 not much better, alienware has higher Britness, colours are 10 bit at 280hz and a thinner bezel, so slightly nicer to look at but honestly minimal difference. Not worth an exchange since alienware has the same dead pixel line for the last 2 models on their monitor, the fact its not fixed in some models shows poor manufacturing quality. Id say the asus tuf monitor does perform the same, looks nice with very few negatives.
      If I had to pick between the 2 I'd pick the tuf simply because i know it will last longer, where as the alienware feels premium, but will die in 6 months. Alienware also gets really hot compared to the tuf

      I used Elmb briefly with apex, dims the monitor too much so I have it turned off, I didn't notice any flickering. I don't play Cs. But had a few runs in val and didn't notice flickering

      Welcome to the future, 1440p is a lot sharper than 1080p, some people still use 1080p because if that. I have a asus tuf 1080p 280hz monitor I still use sometimes.

    Is it enough for a 4080 graphics card or should I get 4K 144 Hz?

    • @Myst_iii
      @Myst_iii  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if you play more single-player games then get the 4K 144hz, if you play competitive/multiplayer games then get the 1440p 260hz monitor.

      Pretty sure 2.0 ports would only be able to handle 240 at 1080

      If your using it with pc it shouldn't do that, unless you are running a game that forces it into 1080p like older games
