Great monitor I have one myself. I use it for 3D rendering work; 3D modelling ; 2D CAD work and gaming . It really is great! Wish it had another usb c port but minor issue . Overall, amazing monitor
I just bought one myself for Graphic Design and some Web Design work. It feels super nice but I would avoid it if you want to plug in a console, putting it into the 16:9 ratio you need to turn off freesync. Luckily I have a good tv for console gaming.
May I ask what mode you you use for 2D CAD work, 3d modelling and 3D rendering on this monitor? I'm thinking of buying one for the same purpose. Thanks.
@@ALe-bx6eb hi I am wondering what do u mean by mode ? I pretty much have everything on default it seems fine. I want to buy another one of these but somehow their price is like doubled from when I bought almost a year ago ? Ty
hey mate great video, thanks for your input. if it serves you as a piece of feedback, the audio sounds a bit robotic and a bit AI, which made it a bit hard to watch
Informative vid - I concur with your feedback Ive had my ProArt for about 6months and its perfect. Took me a good bit of research and a crash course of learning about the different features involved with monitors and finally zeroing in on Asus but I made the right choice. I primarily use it for my art work creativity (Photoshop) flight/drive sims and movies and it addresses all three areas with satisfaction plus!
I'm looking at the ASUS ProArt 27” 1440P Professional Monitor (PA278CGV). Once i saw you put up the MacBook monitor up against the ASUS monitor, i was sold. Going to spend that Prime Day money lol
As far as gaming, OLED is streaks ahead of IPS or VA, also, 120Hz is all you need for consoles but its on the low side for PC gaming, 240Hz is kind of minimum that gamers want. My LG tv does 120Hz.
Awesome video, Kind Sir! :) I was thinking about this monitor for a good while now, and I think I'm getting it, really soon, finally. It's just perfect along with my M3 Max MBP for video / photo editing, and also to game on it as well, with the PC plugged into it :). I've always used an ultrawide monitor, so I really wanted something best color and refresh-rate wise...and this one seems to do it all really well. :)
thank you for the in-depth review! especially appreciate the "curve" explanation, that was my major hesitation to purchase, I'm glad to hear it is a subtle curve.
@JoshuaEliGilley you're welcome bro. Still have it still love it and curve is virtually non existent. Definitely lower on the contrast side but I like it

@@ryancollinsvideo bummer, in the US I can only find the PA34VCNV model and the PA348CGV seems to be discontinued..!! PA34VCNV is good so far, but no desk clamp option!! ( I should've looked more closely before rushing it into my cart, lol) Otherwise seems to be a similar machine, maybe not as high end? However, the resolution doesn't need to scale at this size/ratio to accommodate apple's sizes, so it's perfect at default scaling & my MacBook Pro M3 is ripping along using that GIANT screen! love it.

You don’t need a driver to run a screen from a Mac.
