I have the cm6000 in my 2007 4runner and have a new cmx module that I pulled from my daughters wrecked car. Yes she is fine. Should I try installing cmx or just leave the cm6000 brain the way it is.
If your CM6000 is working properly, I would leave it alone, you will not see any difference (other than the effort to install it) if you switch to the CMX. Unless you want to go with one of the new key fob kits Compustar has, then I would say you'd have to upgrade, but if you are fine with everything as it is now, leave it.
Everything else works but the chirp no longer sounds when I lock or unlock. Again all other functions work including the alarm. Please instruct me as to what is wrong

hey how do you reset the module if your only using the 20pin connector? the instructions say to hold down the button and plug in the 8pin connector and 20pin connector but i'm only using the 20pin connector ..any help would be appreciated ..thanks
When it comes to the 7000 series is the main power harness the same as the CM3000. I got a manual car that currently has a 3000 series in it. But I'm become extremely limited to remotes. I'm familiar with install. But if I can prevent having to do a complete re-wire it would be less stressful. Biggest thing is that it has a starter kill relay hooked up.
Unfortunately the harnesses are different, but the colour of the wire coming out the harnesses is the same, so it is easy to match up if you cut and splice the new connector on.
Hello on the DC3 module there is a daily that goes from O-l O. MY question is I have the DAS 2 shock sensor which you can adjust the sensitivity on it. What's the proper way to adjust the system so it works properly.

I got a Compustar installed with a RPS Touch and the T12. The thing is that is not working after few 100 of meters. The Compustar employee said to my installer that it’s or the remote or the antenna or the wire. After testing it, still the same. He will talk to a real tech and will call me back. Before living, he told me about the 7200, witch is older I think. But my RPS Touch is compatible with either CM6000 or CM6300. He said it might work with ithe 7000 series. Does it? I don’t know. Right now the max I can’t go is about 400-600 meters. I know it’s the 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) visual but it’s ridiculous. This is about 12% only.
Jeff, tell me. Do we need to hard wired the defrost even if in the module setting you turned it on. My installer turned it on and set for 5 Celsius or below. He said no need to hard wired it but some other on TH-cam arguing that it needs to be.

The E-LOCK relay comes with the FT7000ASCONT, however the FT7000ASCONT is no longer produced and has been replaced by the FT-CMX, the FT-CMX requires the accessory kit called the FT-ALARMIT kit, which comes with the E-LOCK relay.
Is the cm7000 discontinued? I see the Max It kits coming with CM900AS now but thought that the cm900 was much older. Between the two, which performs better if you want to have all features such as das-ii, battery backup, drone, etc.? I currently have the CM900 with the Drone X1 Max for my Pro T13 for remote start and alarm and wondering if I could use something better if it's worth the upgrade. Plan to install the das-ii in a few weeks with some other aux options if possible
Yes the CM7000 is discontinued, it is replaced by the CMX. The CM900AS is a current model controller, and is around the 2 year old mark now. If you already have everything working with a CM900, then there really is no reason to upgrade or swap it out for anything else, although I am not 100% sure if the CM900 will accept the FTDASII or not.
I’m January there will be a firmware update for the t13 proximity sensor right now it’s not working for newer vehicles. You will need to take your car back to your installer to update it

Just had the dc3 installed on 2 trucks and it only came with on two way remotes. How many remotes can I add , we have multiple drivers in one house. I have a 95 integra and was planning to get the 7200 series , a friend has the same one with the add one like The touch pad etc and he made it into a full alarm kit remote start and security. since it can do alot more things , what’s the difference from the 7200 and the cmx I’m hearing of after doing some searching.
The CMX is the replacement for the FT7200, as the FT7200 has been discontinued. The CMX also replaces the FT7000, and technically the FT7300 as well (although the have a CM9A in place of the FT7300 as well).

They are very similar, but, the CM7000-AS is manual transmission compatible, where the CM900-AS is not. Also, the CM7000-AS has more programmable inputs and outputs (if this is required for your application). CM7000 is discontinued now as well, CM900 is still a current model.
Programming varies between the DC3 and the 7 series, the DC3 you need to utilize an iDatalink ADS-USB programming tool and you need to have an idatalink.com user account (dealers only), for the 7 series (FT7000, FT7200, FT7300), you can buy and use the Compustar OP500 programming tool (which we sell in our online store (link below). You can also use the ADS-USB tool with the 7 series controllers BUT in order to do so, you need to have a BLADE module plugged into it (otherwise the idatlink.com site will not recognize the 7 series controller). You can program it on internet explorer, I've just done using the dc3. Just buy the idataline cable and use compustar.datalink.com make a account, it asks for a company name which is not mandatory, I've done it and I'm not a dealer.

@@quacktony For those push to start cars where there is currently no takeover, almost guaranteed there will still be no takeover if using the new CMX. WIth that said, the CMX is not available yet in Canada and thus we have not seen one as of yet, but takeover functionality is driven by firmware, not by hardware directly, so if the firmware does not change with the CMX, there will still be no takeover for those cars without it now

The CMX replaces ALL of the CM7 series controllers, basically does everything that each of the previous CM7 controllers did. With that said, the CM7000 was the full alarm/start controller that came with the FT-DAS sensor (shock/tilt/motion) and a siren, where-as the CMX, does not come with those parts. You must buy the FT-ALARMIT kit accessory, n addition to the CMX< to get the same functionality of the CM7000.

Only difference is the harness that is included with the kit, the LC has the thin low current harness, the HC has the thicker high current harness

Yes the T13 will work with the FT7000ASCONT, and yes you probably have the FT7000ASCONT in your vehicle.

The DC3 does NOT work on manual transmission vehicles, they never released support for this. The loop must be cut in order to use on auto though.

I recently got the new compustar pro t13 and it come with the proximity unlock but it does not work with the dc3 what other brain will it work with?
Same with me .. I read online that you have to upgrade the firmware to make it work but I haven’t tried it yet

You add up to 4 key fobs to the DC3 as far as I am aware. The vehicles you mentioned do NOT have harnesses available for them.

You can also use the ADS-USB tool with the 7 series controllers BUT in order to do so, you need to have a BLADE module plugged into it (otherwise the idatlink.com site will not recognize the 7 series controller).

Dealers only? Why? Seems like Compustar/iDatalink are loosing potential diy customers.
You can program it on internet explorer, I've just done using the dc3. Just buy the idataline cable and use compustar.datalink.com make a account, it asks for a company name which is not mandatory, I've done it and I'm not a dealer.
But don't expect help from compustar, similar to viper they are pretty much dealer assistance only.

how about CM900-AS module? what's the difference between CM900-AS and CM7000?
The CM900-AS is very similar to the CM7000, BUT the CM900AS cannot do manual transmission, nor does it have the secondary sensor (green port) input.

No the rf kits (key fob kits as he called them) are separate and interchangeable amongst the controllers.
Is the cm7000 still being sold? The Max It kit?
Yes it is still selling, but soon will be replaced by the new CMX (which is selling in the US already, but not yet in Canada).

@@quacktony For those push to start cars where there is currently no takeover, almost guaranteed there will still be no takeover if using the new CMX. WIth that said, the CMX is not available yet in Canada and thus we have not seen one as of yet, but takeover functionality is driven by firmware, not by hardware directly, so if the firmware does not change with the CMX, there will still be no takeover for those cars without it now

What's the difference between CM7000 & CMX?
The CMX replaces ALL of the CM7 series controllers, basically does everything that each of the previous CM7 controllers did. With that said, the CM7000 was the full alarm/start controller that came with the FT-DAS sensor (shock/tilt/motion) and a siren, where-as the CMX, does not come with those parts. You must buy the FT-ALARMIT kit accessory, n addition to the CMX< to get the same functionality of the CM7000.
