Great comparison video! Very informative! Actually the DC3 comes manual transmission ready. But if you're installing it into a vehicle with an automatic transmission you need to cut the wire loop on the side of the module to enable automatic transmission mode. The DC3 would be my choice also. It's the complete package! You can start with a basic setup of the DC3 and a t-harness (if available) paired to the factory key fob programmed for 3x lock button start and then add the other features like security, rps touch, das sensor, and rf transmitter options later on.
Hey Von moua, that's exactly the setup I'm doing basic DC-3 and T harness, my question is, will I need to make the connections at M1 that's 12 volts, ground, ignition etc. or will those connections be made from the MS1 plug from the t harness?

Nice reviews but you dont have to connect all wires from the controller to the car. Since most car handles door lock and unlock.... etc through data bus. T harness is nice easy connection making everything a truly plug and play (if you have gave the right firmware flashed in the unit). And dc3 built in decoder for compustar rf kit. Also will work with idatastart rf kit as well. But you want to use the idatastart hc2 controller with compustar then spend extra bucks to buy a separate decoder for compustar rf kit. Just my 2 cent.

Just bought the FTDC3 HC for my 2018 Kia Forte. The hard wire you mention without a T harness plug n play seems time consuming and leaving lots of room for error. Which T harness plug n play would you recommend for me, id much rather instal it that way seeing as ill be doing it myself

Please answer. Is it a good idea to save extra labour to get install two way cable (4-6 pin) now with one way antenna so in future i can just swap antenna with two way remote and get configure my self ??
@bornhandsome if you upgrade to the 2WQ9 or 2WG15 style remotes, the antenna cable is the same. But little known secret, you simply re pin the end of the 4 pin cable, if you need the 6 pin connector. All of them only use, 4 pins
Is the DC3-LC an alarm system as well, and do you have to buy an alarm kit to attach to the DC3-LC? Also, what's the difference between FT-DC3-LC & FT-CM7200-AS & FT-CM7200S? are these models just newer/older versions of each other?
The DC3, whether LC or HC (low current or high current), can be configured as an alarm by simple turning the feature on (alarm feature) in the programming menu (you need the ADS-USB programming tool to do this). You can add the FT-ALARMIT kit to gain a siren, shock sensor/tilt/glass break sensor, and a starter kill relay. FT7200SCONT is a hardwired remote start controller that works on auto or manual transmission vehicles. It is older as a model than the DC3, but main difference is the transmission compatibility, as well as less t harness selection (and more expensive to boot) for the FT7200 vs the DC3. If you have an auto trans vehicle, the DC3 is best option. Also, bypass module is BUILT into the DC3, with the 7200 you must add it externally, OR via an iDatalink BLADE bypass module. So im looking to install a Compustar CS7900-AS All-in-One 2-Way Remote Start and Alarm Bundle w/ 3000 feet Range and after extensive research found out i need a remote starter controller module. I have HC2351. It was bought from ebay as personal. I am not a dealer or technician, but have some skill to fix my car. Anyway, I updated interface module two or three times. But finally it was blocked on idatalink website. So I called the customer service, and they told me "we cannot reset your interface module because you are not an authorized dealer, but a person." What does it mean? If I buy it as a person and I update the module several times, my interface refreshing chance is limited as a person. Jeff, please tell me about it. Now my HC2351 and T-harness for 2016 Honda Odyssey is in trash can. HC2351 is a good product but if you are not an authorized dealer or technician, do you really buy it. Also, I want to share my other experience. When I open the door after remote start, the engine was stopped. I understand It was because of theft safety. but it is so uncomfortable because I have to restart my car with my key. Please share your opinion for your product.

The customer service told me "contact local professional shop, and let that shop contact us to reset your module." I bought it by my money. Why do I have to go there? Things have come a long way since my install days in 1998 - DEI 551T IIRC. Alpine and Clifford alarms were the ish then too!
