    Thanks for the video, very informative. May I ask please, I have the 2WQ900-AS, my car is Mazdaspeed 3 2007 model, I added the Push/Start button to the car before I installed the Compustar system, everything works great, do I need anything else to add to the comustar system, like the blade module? I live in Australia, do I need the Drone as well? Can you explain please the use of the two modules as I am a bit confused. Cheers

      Forgot to say that I have a third pary Keysense module for the Push Start button and it is working for the compustar. Cheers

    Hi Jeff, I used to install a long time ago, but things have changed LOL Im gonna put the Q9 in a 2000 GMC sierra, and I was looking into it I know I need the immobilizer bypass the blade TB does what I think I need, I have power locks, but no factory remote, I looked at the AL and I dont see that it does anything more for that vehicle than the TB, am I reading that correct? Im confused at what part I actually need. thanks for taking the time to read this.

      @@rushunt2131 on a 2000 GMC Sierra, use the BLADE-AL, as it will provide you with door lock control, if you use the BLADE-TB, you would only get immobilizer bypass, then for the locks, you'd have to run wires into the driver door, and do a circuit connection at the switch. To avoid this, use the BLADE-AL.

    I just recently purchased a 7900AS and I’d like to install it myself. I saw a video with the same alarm system but on a 2003 Silverado, I have a 2013 Silverado and pretty sure the wiring is different.
    Watching his video he mentioned he called you for some information and you were very helpful on providing him with diagrams.
    I’m thinking the T-harness is an accessory I need or is it something to make the install easier??
    I know I need the Blade-TB or AL from watching your video.
    Is it possible you can point me in the right direction as far as what I need??
    Also if you can make a video with the 7900AS step by step installation would be great. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      The FTI-GMT3 is the plug and play harness you need. We sell it in our store, link is below.
      As for install step by step videos, we do not make these on our channel at this time (not our thing, we show what products are, how they work, interesting features etc. but we are not a specific DIY channel at this time).

    So, my installer has advised that, when I’m having the Compustar system installed, I can upgrade to a T13 remote for $250 more. Do you feel there’s enough advantage with the T13 to justify the cost? They’re basically telling me that the only real advantage is the extended range with the T13. Are there more benefits that I’m missing? Thanks

    • @LockdownSecurity
      @LockdownSecurity  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The T13 adds a fancy display, proximity LOCK and UNLOCK (walk up to vehicle it unlocks doors, walk away doors lock), along with the extra range.

      So I guess the main question is; is that worth $250? I guess it gives me enough to consider. Thanks!

    Hi Jeff. Thank you for this very informative video. My questions would be, if a car thief goes in front of our house raising his arms with these high tech antennas to get signal of our car's factory remote to open our car, can that antenna also catch the signal of these compustar alarm systems q9 or t9 and open our car without those loud/shock alarms or disarm the compustar alarms? Will you remove factory remote system when you install one of these compustar alarms?

    • @LockdownSecurity
      @LockdownSecurity  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, Compustar key fobs are NOT vulnerable to relay theft attacks. Factory alarm is retained when installing a Compustar system

  • @alwin5979

    • @LockdownSecurity

      @@LockdownSecurity When you say it is nhot compatible with manual cars, how the compustar system knows it is a manual car? Cheers

    • @LockdownSecurity
      @LockdownSecurity  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AhmedBahgat it's not that they "know" they are in a manual vehicle, it is that manual trans compatible product, will require you to enter a sequence EVERYTIME you park the vehicle, in order to ensure the vehicle is not left in gear. This sequence, is what ensures, when the vehicle shuts down, that it is NOT left in gear.
      Product like what we reviewed in this video, do not have the capability of performing the sequence, so hence are not compatible with manual trans vehicles.

      @@LockdownSecurity I actually managed to do it in my Mazdaspeed3 manual car, I have a gear location sensor that will tell me if the car is in neutral or not, so I created an AND gate and hooked it to the Hood wire, so if EITHER the car is not in neutral or the handbrake is not on, the compustar will be fooled as if the Hood is open and in no way it will remote start. Cheers

    How does the standard FT Elock relay compare to the new FTI-SPTS-U-5PK ? Is the latter better ? I know little about these systems, so I am trying to learn and decide what would be suitable for me.

    • @LockdownSecurity
      @LockdownSecurity  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These are two separate styles of relays with different purposes. The new FTI-SPTS-U-5PK is a relay and harness specifically designed for low current push button immobilization (to disable a vehicles push start button). The FT-ELOCK is a high current, standard automotive relay designed to immobilize starter motor circuits

      You could do the Q9 remote and then get the EZGO II kit. The Q9 uses AAA Battery, and the EZGO will convert the Alarm into passive unlock/lock and aem/disarm. That's probably the best way to get what you're after!

    • @LockdownSecurity
      @LockdownSecurity  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Promimity unlock is only available on Compustar PRO remotes, such as the T13 and R5, or you have to add an FT-EZGOII to your Compustar system.
