Parker, Colorado - History & Information - #20/100

Today's adventure took us to Parker, the 20 Mile Town! (March 11, 2023)
Parker began as a way-station on the Cherokee Trail into Denver. Centered around "The 20 Mile House", a ranching community called Pine Grove began growing in the 1870's with the help of the Parker Brothers. Once trains arrived, the town name was changed. It remained a small community of just 250 people until the 1980's, but as the Front Range grew, so did Parker. Today it's one of the nation's smartest and most desirable places to live!
My family and I are on a mission to learn about the history and geography of where we live by visiting every town within a 4 hour drive of our house. We live in Pueblo West and once per month we are going to venture out and explore the great state of Colorado, one town at a time!
