This basketweave stitch is so pretty. I'm a little past beginner, but with the way you show us how to crochet these various stitches I feel like an advanced crocheter. You are so easy to understand. Keep those videos coming. Thank you Robin
Dear Robin I am not sure you are knowing how great teacher you are . Many people crochet but mostly of them can't explain how to do the stitches . You are doing amazing no a lot of speaking no music, just exactly and clearly what stitch pattern need. I think not only me but everyone who is watching your videos is happy. With pleasure I will go back and watch all videos you have been posted Thank you Thank you Thank you🌹
I too like to go back and watch the videos even stitches I know, its nice to play it while I'm making something with that stitch. It's like having a crochet buddy, lol. Noone else in my area that I know crochets, even those that do have me make things for them because they dont have time to sit and crochet. And those that know usually also tip me besides paying for the item because they have said they know what really goes into my pieces. I do alot of theme items as we have balloon fiesta here in albuquerque and things for hiking like water bottle carriers and utility pouches. Also Aztec mosaics and such. Jewelry and belts that hold rocks for rockhounding.
I am a beginner and have just finished a lap blanket with this tutorial. It's absolutely stunning! I made the lap blanket for my daughter's birthday. Yesterday I started a blanket for myself because I love it so much! Thanks for an amazing video to start my crochet journey with a beautiful beginning.
Quite the pretty basket weave combo .. definitely changing colour every 3rd row keeps me on track 😅 It's a snuggly texture I adore that both sides are the same.. Thanks for your excellent instructions..as always 🎉
And as always a brilliant stitch and as always so well explained. I just got home with 10 skeins of yarn because I want to make a blanket, and this stitch is going to be it. So I'm going to make a cup of tea, and grab my crochet hook 4mm, sit myself down and in 3...2...1...I started with the Basketweave stitch😃 Thank you so much, Robin🤗🙏 and I hope you will have a fine day....greets from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I have literally just start crocheting like a month ago, and I came across your videos on Facebook which made me look up your TH-cam. I LOVE your videos. They are so easy to follow. I just finished my first big project (a simple scarf using a double crochet). My next project is going to be a baby blanket for my daughter using the moss stitch(my due date is around April 29). My next big project is going to be a another blanket using this stitch and I am so excited.
@@1Bonnie777 thank you! And don't worry. I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn, which looks great with the moss stitch. But also since the stitch is so dense, no holes!
In 1976 my grandmother made a red, white and blue basket weave afghan to celebrate the bicentennial in USA. She showed me how to do this pattern, but even with my sample, I haven't been able to remember how to do it. With your well explained video, I'll finally be able to do this. Thank you Robin.
I love this stitch! Switching colors every three rows would definitely help me remember when I need to switch between front and back posts. And it’s a beautiful effect!
Yes yes yes I was waiting patiently for you pop up a basket weave stitch pattern. I have just completed my first ever log cabin blanket from your pattern, finally after crocheting for over 30 years. Your exactly right, trust the process, now on to making a basket weave blanket a perfect choice for a Mother’s Day gift ❤ you are my go to
Thank you so very much for your teaching tutorial. I love having the explanation of why we do things. It's important to know the "why" and not just the "how." That's how we become better crocheters.
I've been trying to come up with a pattern for my grandson's blanket, and this is PERFECT! He was born with Down's Syndrome, and loves texture. . this would be perfect for him. Something to run his little fingers across. . :) . . Thank you once again, Robin, for giving me what I need, WHEN I need it! :)
I've done basket weave stitch projects in the past. It never occurred to me to change colors like this. Thank you for reviving a tried and true pattern into a fresh new look❣️
@@HookedbyRobin one question I am going to use a very soft Polyacryl yarn for this project do you think it will do justice to this pattern or should I use cotton yarn
I love this pattern! I have started it in a multi colored thread and it is great. It is for a Christmas gift for a friend! Love it! Now my daughter wants one too!
I love patterns that look the same front and back! This seems like a great texture for something flat like a blanket or scarf, but also imagine making a basket with it? 😄
