Hi Wayne, thanks for your review. I'm wondering about the location of the filament feed through the housing in the top left rear corner (looking from the front).
In all the other reviews, the tube hangs out at the back, top right (looking from behind to the back of the printer)
I'm also wondering about the stop corners at the back left and right of the build plate. In the other reviews there is only one in the centre and was therefore a major point of criticism.
This meant that the build plate sheet could be positioned at an angle.
Have you received a new, revised/improved model from Qidi? May I ask when you received it?
If so, you should definitely point out that Qidi has made improvements 🙂

Hi Wayne I'm in Birmingham ready 4 tomorrow's event MC, yesterday I messaged you about the Saturn 4 so with this FDM Printer one would be pretty much set up or woul you say the Saturn 4 would be enough this one look like you can get some high prints off it.cheers Mark.

Yep. You will get more detailed prints with the Saturn 4 resin printer but for large strong parts FDM is the way to go.

Hi Wayne.. a quick question. I know you can put model files on USB sticks but can you also put firmware updates on them, or do firmware updates /have/ to be downloaded direct to the printer?

Yes but in the case of this printer it's wifi connected so you can do firmware updates without leaving your seat

If you are doing a printer review, please talk about the print quality, can you use any slicer or is it locked down to Qidi, what is the firmware (Klipper?), is the mainboard 32 bit, is it noisy?

I.mentioned it comes with Qidi Slicer. I'm hoping the quality speaks for itself in the pics. As for sound. I'm sure most FDM machines have the same harmonical.acoustics lol

@gusbert tbh I love Qidinslicerbso much I haven't tried anything else. It doesnwork with Cura too as that's what I used for Vincent

It comes with a 2 year old locked down version of Klipper firmware but I do believe that you can upgrade to the current full version and as for the slicer, you can run the full version of Orca slicer 2 and it comes with the profile in Orca slicer, from what I have seen, it has very good print quality. I have not gotten mine yet because I am still saving up, I'm disabled and can't work anymore so it's going to take me a while
