I remember going pretty much pure Zerling/Queen into like mid-diamond. That's something I liked about Starcraft. There are hard counters, but strategy and micro can overcome. Haven't played in so long, I'm afraid things wouldn't work the same.
Leading off with "an arguably inappropriate amount of pleasure" made me spit out my drink, thank you for helping to start my day off on a noteworthy foot.
Hero bringing back mass oracles. Remember when people realized how broken oracles were and you could build like 6 and nuke down a hatchery and any defenses.

I swear a couple Dark games ago winter said Dark would have his mandatory miltary service and that would likely be his last game. How many more Dark games do we have left?
Sometimes you can get an exemption if you file but a pro gamer usually does not qualify(probably never has I can't recall any) but it maybe stalled the drafting until they process it.
Oh boy, another Dark v Hero game where Dark completely fails his opening aggression, is way behind in workers and then just presses the D key 15 times while being completely safe.
In all the time I played Starcraft 2, I always hated Inject. It allowed Zerg to switch production too rapidly rather than have to produce more continuously like in Broodwar. And on the flip side, as a Zerg player, Inject was annoying as hell to perform, and the wide timing on it made it easy to misjudge a situation and commit fully to Drones right before an enemy attack, leaving you with nothing.
Day 3 of catchup. Wish I was able to listen to this during work but it got so busy. It’s great to end the work day with good castings though. Looking forward to this one
In that game one I feel like if you go stalkers don't get stuck defending because protoss especially is clunky defending. Get a mothership it really helps and forces dark to bring in vision. I also feel like when you morph the overlord it should lose HP in exhange for speed and vision. A unit that tanky with that much utility makes it easy for that sort of long range zerg army and zerglings just shut down most early protoss cheese. There are a few exceptions but at Dark's skill level GL with that and the maps determine that and he knows what maps suck for zerg and good for toss cheese.
If they wanna fix Zerg just make it to where they only build drones within the hatchery just as a queen does. That way they can still be beaten down if they make mistakes instead of just pumping out more drones :p
For raw power against almost pure Zerglings, sure. But with the chance of Banelings/Roaches, and the loss of mobility it can still be a precarious position.
6 hours later the likes are 767. An auspicious number. Meanwhile Blizcon starts and somebody is babbling about yet another World of Warcraft storyline. Don’t get me wrong, but how about a World of StarCraft. Is it lacking the the snappy alliteration or something?
Because they kept making SC2 worse. And no Zerg player actually likes to Inject. Or likes to spread creep only to watch all that effort thrown out the window.

I think we all can agree that no matter how good these games are, Winter's commentary always seems to elevate the experience.
"Ignorance of sanity" is a great fit for Dark! Also for an alt-metal band. Also for a Schopenhauer essay. Also for cereal.
