Radhuset is a map that you can easily get to late game, but all Zerg will ban this map against Protoss and on other maps Zerg just kill Toss in 10 minutes.
This was amazing. Never seen a Protoss being so agressive this way. And Raynor did not even used Disruptors. I have no words. One of the best matches I've ever seen.
I was sent this game by a fellow SC nerd and totally one of the best games I’ve seen. So happy for these young guys, Serral was born when the original SC came out and Reynor was like 9-10 when I was playing ranked SC2 in high school. Seeing the level they play at and their mastery of the game is absolutely mind blowing 👍
Protos played like Zerg, mind blown. His micro and attacking the two sides with impeccable timing before Seral could capitalize on his backline assets was amazing. He pulls Seral's front line, exposing his backline, where he takes out the expensive brood lords made me watch this video three times.
That was hands down the best protoss play I've ever seen. I genuinely thought that zerg late game composition at the pro level was essentially OP but Raynor showing it can be done through microing avg units. Dope
The ground army, and stalkers in particular had so much impact in those endgame fights. The aggressive blinks zoning out spellcasters and sniping targets of opportunity was a pleasure to watch.

serral beaten in a 35 minutes long match ? wow incredible !! reminds me hero vs Dark. I hope we can see more of Serral Vs Raynor in the future I love how raynor used most of the toolset of the protoss. Especially the sentry. Force fields saved units. And using halucinated units againt broodlings is brilliant ! he also leveraged air control early in the game, showing that a couple phenixes are sufficient to deny most of zerg's scouting. Also the worker harrass of a phenix and 2 oracles was very well done. He won not because of a gimmick or luck, but because of all the little details and separated battles he won over 35 minutes. beautifull Raynor is now the best protoss in the world. incredible
Let's take a moment to contemplate how much better of an experience it is to watch Winter castings than the official GSL casters'. Just watched the latest GSL and I wanted to equalise the guy's voice.
It's almost like the zerg player was/is the best SC2 player in the world. And got beat by someone roughly equal playing their off race. I'm sure serral would probably stand a better chance in a Bo5 since Raynor probably doesn't have many toss builds yet so he'd get hard countered at some point imo.

With such a large and defensive early game map, maybe reynor sees a well microed late game Protoss army as op against Zerg (and he is probably the only person capable of microing this army this well), and this map is the one where it’s relatively easy to get there? Reynors protoss looked absolutely incredible, but he might be on to something with map specific race switches. If he can do that, he’s ridiculously scary to face because he doesn’t need to be able to win a series with Protoss in order to make him dangerous with Protoss. If he can just switch to Protoss on certain maps vs Zerg, then he can still use his regular swarm on the more Zerg favored maps, while getting the upper hand on maps he might otherwise struggle with.
The key for those few players who successfully changed their race is that they did it permanently. They did not dabble in a 2nd race. Scarlet tried to dabble in Protoss but never completely changed. All pros will play other races for practice. Those who watched Dark stream would know that he was a very high level Terran. When a player has such high level of skill and speed that Reynor has he can be a top player in any race if he committed himself to it.
No, zerg is broken af. Serral didn't take his opponent seriously and paid the price lol in super smash Brothers ultimate a top 10 player playing fox once loss a tournament set to another top 10 player playing ganondorf. Fox beats ganon like 7/10 games all else equal. That top player got into his own head and beat himself losing three(!) Games in a row to his best matchup and a player he was just whooping. Don't be fooled, this was a fluke.
I play pure random at about diamond 1 and all the races are pretty much balanced. My worst is got to be terran idk why I am just bad at it. protoss and zerg are my favorite and there pretty much even on difficulty and balance.@@whiteerdydude
Everyone being honest with themselves know that protoss is the easiest to play and zerg the hardest. So if you master zerg you are better it's just facts.
Worth noting about the subject of race picking/switching, the Broodwar legend Flash plays Random in ASL and still competes at top 8 level. Skills transcends race.
Flash vs Jaedong….I remember watching so many of their legendary games as a kid, they played perfectly. Macro, micro, apm, adaptability….Serral and Clem give me the same vibes these days
I started watching your content about 6 months ago. This is the Protoss I was used to watching in the first SC2, I've been wondering why there aren't many extreme micro Protoss players lately that use spell/ability mobs to higher capacity, this is the first force field i've seen in ages!

Honestly? Reynor should switch to Toss. With the insane speed he plays at, he can play it a way no other toss can. This game was just phenomenal. Serral even had the god tier late game army that most protoss players would agree is just unbeatable and Reynor completely dismantled it and made Serral look like DRG

Babe, wake up, its 12:49 and I just saw Winter's new video. AND it's a protoss game to boot! In regards to your opening comments about PvZ, I agree Zerg is the king of going unchecked, so to me it stands to reason that the other two races are effectively on a clock, unless you can go the distance and mine the map more efficiently, but thats a long time to hold, and Zerg deathball is even better than Protoss's thanks to vipers being able to slowly eat valuable gas units. I can't watch another split map PvZ where the Toss just losses a carrier here, tempest there, and eventually just runs out of gas (literally) and the zerg is able to trade armies then remax and A move with their bank.
Is this the first actual strategy game that involved a protos? This is incredible - but seeing this, no wonder serral stomps these real protos players since they seem to always attack from one angle. Here raynor used a lot of different strategies and nimble tactics, suddenly serral was the one getting flanked. Really cool and honestly exciting. Raynor did not win because he is so fast, he really was the better strategist and tactician .
Now that is how protoss is meant to be played. This might have been the best game I’ve ever seen. Every upgrade, nearly every unit, all kinds of strategy, and an unnecessary amount of APM. GG
I think the current crop of protoss other than MaxPax just aren't up to snuff, and Reynor's proving it here. When HerO, the race's current number 2 and number 1 for so long before that, loses so many games because he F2s his warp prism or walling unit, I can't take the idea that the other top protosses are the same caliber as the top zergs/terrans too seriously.
so it takes a Zerg champion to play Protoss at constantly 537 APM for 35 minutes straight to beat Serral in ZvP, Serral is imba af !!! No other Protoss has any chance :()

Wild though that Serral's corruptors were so far out of position for the last few engagements of the match - continously dancing around the ground army with nothing to hit but not in position to screen and protect the broodlords. The ultras looked like they stayed parked in the north as well so was really only fighting with like 80% of his army most of the time?
