  • Answers in Genesis: In this fifth part of the series "DNA's Big Surprise," we learn how a Harvard-trained geneticist predicts mutation rates that align with biblical history which points back to Noah and Adam. Ken Ham discusses the new book "Traced" with the author, Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson.
    It’s groundbreaking scientific research that rewrites everything you thought you knew about “race,” ethnicity, and even human history. And it’s only possible because the researcher, Harvard-trained Dr. Jeanson, starts with the history and the timeline God has given us in his Word.

    My oldest kids went to school in a small town in S. France. When the teacher (who was a communist) tried to teach evolution, my oldest daughter forcefully asked, "Do you believe this? Do you know for a fact that this is true?" The teacher backed off and changed her approach to, "Some people believe ..." Later that year we met with the teacher and she told us, "When I see your kids and think about your family, it makes me think about God."

    I went to public schools in Sydney growing up and I remember being taught Evolution during primary school and was very confused as to where the apes that we evolved from came from and I remember saying to my teacher, ‘we came from Adam & Eve, they were people not apes!’ And she said, the cavemen came first which confused me and other students
    Then in high school, during science, teacher tried to explain the BigBang theory and my classroom rebelled calling out, ‘No! God created the world!” Teacher threw his hands up in the air because we all insisted and saying, this is lies Sir!
    Gone are those days, now everyone believes the lie. So thankful that creationist are standing up now, bringing back the truth.

      Awesome! You're the first person I've come across that tells a similar story as the one I have told on several occasions. My Jr. High science class teacher was taping a 4 or 5 ft long poster of the ascent of man above the chalkboard, and I told him the same thing. "We are not apes, sir, we're people! We're children of God! And besides, don't you think you should wait until you find the missing link? Because the ones you guys are using have been exposed as frauds!..."
      He really did not like having a scrawny kid telling him his "theory" was floundering. And here we are over 45 years later and the best they have is a string of debunked missing links that they relentlessly parade around as if there isn't a flaw in them! Lucy has been proven to be a chimpanzee for years, now, and the scientist's assertions about all the missing parts resembling humans have been fully dismissed by examining the many specimens of the same species found since Lucy was found! The chimp's fingers are curved, the feet are chimp feet, the hip is a chimp hip, the head is a chimp head, etc! If we were to place Lucy's fully articulated and intact skeleton (as she was when she was alive) right next to a fully articulated and intact human specimen there would be absolutely no question! Lucy's a chimp and we are not!!
      But apparently, evolutionists have simply resolved themselves to lying whenever it's necessary. Mostly, to themselves, unfortunately!
      Otherwise, we wouldn't have the Albatros of evolution hanging around the neck of scientific progress and education!

    • @lisaseverino5114
      @lisaseverino5114 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lederereddy Exactly! It starts with atheist scientists, then teachers are told to teach lies to us but some of us and children of today truly can’t see the logic. I have a Christian friend who was a school teacher and she believes Lucy is legitimate, I also told her there’s no missing link, she is adamant that they’ve found it, she’s seen it! I told her, it’s rubber! Still she believes in evolution and the Bible
      The brainwashing runs deep! But not for you and me! ‘high five!’ You’re too smart! ✝️

      @@lisaseverino5114 --- " I have a Christian friend who was a school teacher and she believes Lucy is legitimate"
      It is TRAGIC to see how schools have undermined the student's ability to be objective. The curriculum is deliberately designed to instill subjective secular biases as deeply as possible. And your friend has succumbed to the literal bombardment of evolutionary dogma, probably based on the simple fact that she can't imagine so many intelligent people could possibly be wrong. And, obviously, she doesn't believe the bible is really God's word even if she says she does.
      A quick study of the laws of logic and the scientific method would affirm the fact that objectivity (existential physical evidence) is the road to unbiased truth. But secularists' unwritten laws such as "all scientific inquiries into nature must be answered by naturalistic causes!"
      Or "During the observation of biologists into the intricacies of biological organisms, the biologist must constantly remind themselves that the designs they're seeing were not intentional even if they look intentional!"
      That is the definition of forsaking the objectivity of laws of logic and science and being led astray by the subjectiveness of personal bias!
      God help us, but these fundamental truths have been eroded so badly that people really don't understand how to separate the truth from lies, anymore. We must lovingly remind whoever will listen! And, yes! High-five each other for standing strong on God's infallible Word!
      Aloha and God bless! I will pray for you and your friend!

      And so it is... the "big bang" and "evil~lucien" both part of the grand delusion. See how it will all come together, along with "aliens" and the "ufo" paradigm, to steer as many people away from the truth as is possible... so much so, that even the elect would be deceived if it were possible.!!
      Be not deceived. Not by the fallen angels, not by man, not by demons claiming to be what they are not.
      Be not deceived. The bible tells us the truth of all things that we are able to comprehend. And, while there are still mysteries, accept that we are not to know all things.
      Be not deceived. Coming is the greatest of lies, meant to diminish the truth, destroy faith, deny Christ Jesus and attempt to make a liar of our heavenly Father...believe it not.!!
      Again and again, the scriptures warnings hold that we be not deceived. He who called out the end at the beginning, loved us enough to issue warnings of what would happen, told us of the signs to watch for, and reminded us that all things are possible but ONLY through him.
      May our heavenly Father bless and keep his own, strengthening us for what is yet to come and instilling the peace that passes all understanding... in Jesus mighty name.

    One of the main reasons that a smaller number of Creation scientists can do a better job at proving our theories is that it’s all common sense science. In other words, even though God’s Creation is complicated, He has provided common sense ways of proving our existence.

    There is a sweetness to the integrity and earnestness of these folks. They don’t quite have the science down too well - but we could do worse than listen to their underlying philosophy.
    My only recommendation is that they trust their faith more than they do … if genesis began 14 billion years ago with the Big Bang - how is that less awesome than a quaint imagined account in the Bible citing 6,000 years ago. 11:45 How is that any less the hand of something profoundly magnificent - call it natural law or God. How is it not the hand of an immensity beyond all understanding.
    This is not lost if we learn now that it wasn’t six days of creation 6,000 years ago.
    It may not be a personal God - but do we know that one way or another?
    Room for faith there don’t you think?
    I am amazed. I don’t see a reason to laugh at these folks or for them to condemn me for having somewhat different takes on something astoundingly profound.

    One problem I perceive with the timing theory is that there are male and female generations. Women tend to breed at an earlier age than men. In history, it may be correct to suggest that men tend to produce their first child at age 25. I would suggest that taking into account history beyond the modern period, 20 would be a better estimate for average earliest breeding age, and for women it would be around 15 or 16 so generations of mtDNA would be approximately 6 per century, whereas for men it would be , let's say 4-5 generations per century. This would accelerate the rates of chromosomal/mtDNA change. It would be good to know whether these variations had any effect on the chronology of the human family tree or whether the 6000 years for mtDNA and 4500 years for Y chromosomal DNA hold up with variations like this. I also wonder if the timing for a generation is better calculated as average age of the parent at birth of the child, rather than first child. Again, female generations will be shorter, as men can continue to breed well beyond youth and into old age, whereas female fertility diminishes rapidly as they progress into middle age. What effect might these factors have on the proposed chronology?

Why is it that people will not study their Bible and in particular the Old Testament. The Bible is about a family. The ethnic races are mentioned when we cross paths only. @@NilodeRoock don’t fall victim to their lies please, the Bible never once says the earth is old and evolution and God don’t mix because adding paganism to the Bible never works. The reason we have other “races” which are still the human race which is why that term has always confused me is because the different people adapted to different environments over time (not millions of years) but a few generations because if you are outside in the heat all the time and it’s a very dry place then you are going to end up being darker skinned like when people tan you tan to protect the body so God just allowed them to be much darker to survive in the different environments. Not because of evolution but because God loved us enough to allow us to survive in a broken world. And also God never said not to intermingle with other races He said other people meaning the pagans who had given into their foolish desires and worshiped false gods that they made with their own hands. I don’t know how you are doing since this post since it was a month ago but I just wanted to let you know that the 7 day genesis account are actual days not millennia because He said then evening passed and morning came marking the (fill in the blank 1-6) day people want to mix paganism into the Bible because it makes them comfortable but by doing so actually damage the gospel because if you can’t believe God’s word in the beginning you can’t in the end and that would also make God a liar in the New Testament when it says all sun came from Adam and that we all came from Adam. Not that we all came from people at the time of Adam but we all came from Adam.

    • @Michachu7
      @Michachu7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @N/A that sounds like a pagan book and doctrines of demons. God said how He created everything and anything you add to that is not actually backed up by real science the earth isn’t millions of years old because our dating system is off. We had a rock they we (we meaning the human race) watched form it was 10 years old and we knew that for a fact, yet it was dated to millions of years old even though we watched it form in a volcano. The different layers in the rock don’t prove the theory of evolution either because the flood is what shoved the earth down and moved the different layers and killed the Dino’s and all the other creatures along with all the people alive at that time.

    Quoted from the above text intro to the video: "...it’s only possible because the researcher, Harvard-trained Dr. Jeanson, starts with the history and the timeline God has given us in his Word."
    That is the problem. If you start from a premise which you are not allowed to question, you are not doing science, you are doing religion. And just by the by, there is no timeline in the Christian bible. The timeline is inferred by adding up the generations as given in the bible, which may, or may not, be correct. But there is another little devil in the details. There is a mitochondrial Eve, and a Y chromosome Adam which all humns on earth can trace themselves back to. But they weren't the only humans alive at the time. One can easily understand this by just counting back your own lineage. You had 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, 16 great-great grandparents, etc. If we take 25 years as being a generation, and divide 4000 years (since the flood), we get 160 generations. With a doubling of grandparents every generation, that gives us 2 the power of 160. Here's what we get: 1,461,501.637,330,902,918,203,684,832,716,283,019,655,932,542,976.
    That's a lot of grandparents. That is many more times than all the people that have every lived. Obviously there is something not quite right. The best explanation is given in "River Out Of Eden", by Richard Dawkins. But basically it is this. Not all lineages have offspring. If we go back far enough, we can find the one man, or one woman who were the parents of all existing humans, but...and this is the important but...they were not the only humans alive at the time. It's just that all other lineages died out over the years. The date when modern humans first appeared is widely debated, but is anywhere from 200,000 - 320,000 years ago. Other hominid species existed long before that. The earlest human species (homo habilis) lived between 1.5 - 2.5 million years ago.

      Your problem is 25 yrs as a generation. A generation in the bible was the average lifespan of a person and not the ability a of child bearing age. Thus a generation was between 70-80 years in the bible. 13 generations multiplied by 70-80 = 910-1040 BC which was most likely the time of the Babylonian captivity of the Jews. The bible always speaks the truth more than the modern generation does that we find ourselves in today. People get stupider and stupider every generation that goes by.

A divided heart will never stand in Gods grace, because it becomes a kingdom divided against itself. I have heard that pastors, when someone come to preach the 6000 yr old existence of the earth are told not to say it ,or to water it down, to maybe or it could have happened. Look harder. Plenty of geneticists have addressed Nathaniel Jeanson's 'work'.
      It's pseudoscience. Which is why he published a book, instead of publishing an article or paper in a relevant peer-reviewed science journal, which is how these things are done in the real world.
      Also, science is secular by definition, and if there were any validity to Jeanson's work, it would be big news in the world of science. It's an apologetics book, that's all it is. It may seem 'sciency' to lay persons, and Jeanson is a scientist, but his book is pseudoscience, unfortunately.

    • @raifcluster

      @@travisbicklepopsicle , you should challenge Nathaniel Jeanson to a debate! You seem fairly confident in your accusations and proclamations of his alleged "pseudoscience". You should put this all to rest!

      @@raifcluster I wrote another long reply that is gone now for some reason. I'm not posting it again. In that comment, I mentioned a review by Creation Ministries International.. even a *creationist organization* is leery about his book..
      Here's one from another scientist:
      'JEANSON NT. Does' Y-chromosome Adam'Refute Genesis?. Institute for Creation Research. 2013.
      As you see, it was ‘published’ by a non-scientific, religious institution with a self-admitted non-evidence-based bias. Nobody peer-reviewed the work. It was never published in any peer-reviewed journal.
      Any reputable scientist who might have been asked to review the work wouldn’t have only had objections, they would have recommended it be deposited in the circular file where it belonged.'
      Ian H Lester, Phylogenetics, Mol Biol Sc Advanced, Australian National University.
      There are plenty more scientists out there who have already falsified Jeanson's work.. besides, geneticists and anthropologists figured out quite a while back that modern humans first arose in Africa around 200,000 years ago, and since Jeanson is working within a 6,000 or so year time frame, well..
      Pseudoscience from a creationist author. That's all it is.
      'You should challenge him to a debate"
      No, I shouldn't :-) What would that accomplish? This issue is not about a 'debate'. It isn't about who puts forth the best arguments, or who can 'win over' the listeners. It's about *science*, about data and evidence, not about debating..

    Have you considered that the dispersion from the Tower of Babal was a dispersion not only tongues but also race. You can learn another language, but not another race. Race definitely keeps people apart.

    • @johnc.3652
      @johnc.3652 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe he tackled that on a series he did on this same channel about two years ago, and race simply boils down to culture and lineage, so language can therefore change culture, which may inherently change race if you move to a new area

    • @bbgun061
      @bbgun061 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Watch the video before this one, titled "What Makes a Race?"
      Probably the different families dispersed from Babel had slightly different characteristics. If, for example, two dark skinned parents left Babel with their children (mostly dark skinned) then they would have had very little DNA coding for light skin to pass on to their descendants. Of course there has been so much mixing before and since that the majority of people today are somewhere in the middle.
      What we call 'race' are merely superficial differences that exist on a spectrum. We are all members of the Human Race.

    • @edpayne2626
      @edpayne2626 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could not be from race first, but the people who dispersed by language would take on the characteristics of the color of the majority of those peoples color, lighter would become lighter and darker become darker. And is the reason God does not judge according to color as the theory does, as in the theory the lighter you are the more intelligent you are.
