Looking at snow is so beautiful until you’re waist-deep in it. Nicely done avoiding that. Great drone footage. What was the name of the hut? This looked like one that I think I may be able to do one day - oh yeah, except for the boat part… that’s the barrier. Was it St Arnaud? Boys Gear checklist: Ice Skates (#torvillanddean), Garden spade, Mincer, Crumpets, corn chips, soft cheese, cocoa, Bacon, Jandals, Snow Shoes…. No room for crampons or ice axes. Sigh. Going up that hill I had a flashback to when Arved said something like no one beats me in an extreme hike (said between gasps of air). But really, what a beaut day to go up. Like a boss.

Hahaha thanks Paul, this was just at the south end of Lake Rotoroa, up towards Mt Misery. Gotta have all the right gear 🤣
