I remember when I was younger I wanted to get into this. Then finally when I was in Highschool in 2007 my Stepdad and I pulled the trigger. We were halfway done with building it and he passed away from a bad heart. I never finished the plane as I couldn't bare to look at it. I really wish I would have stuck to it.
No better way to pay homage then take that step and build one and put it in the air. Sorry to hear about your loss, but the best we can do is remember and keep moving forward.
There’s something with your voice which makes me want to listen to you, it’s like a voice from Hollywood or radio station, great videos with the way you explain and show things we need people like you sir!
I know, right? I'm in my 50's and haven't built a balsa model in 40 years and only flew control line in the 1970s. But I just can't stop watching HobbyView's videos. Something about his presentations makes me smile inside and out. 😃
Looks like it flies very nicely. I had an f6f built from a great planes kit many years ago, with an OS91 four stroke. Beautiful flier. I do think scale models should have engines rather than electric power plants though 😁
Glad to see you did a follow up video. What a beautiful plane. Again, its nice to see you flying it with electric instead of fuel. I made the switch a few years ago and do not regret it. I remember battling many cranky engines. I think mostly it was because I got hand me down engines from my brother's wrecked planes. A bent shaft never hurt anyone right. Nice flying! I bounce on landing because I am used to dirt or grass runways, not paved. I fly at a glider field and really enjoy it. No trees!
Hi loving your videos, thanks for taking the time to do these and bring us so much pleasure, I make plastic kits and do flight simming on the PC - one very small thing the aerial on the F6F slants forward not back! Keep up the great work.
Great to see a Hellçat in flight...I can only imagine what my dad saw when he was a kid in the Philippines...a dogfight between a Hellcat and a Zero while gun shells are dropping from the sky.
Love your presentations. So informative and entertaining! Only one criticism my friend...that antenna mast is backwards! The Hellcat mast has a distinctive forward rake like the Wildcat OR it has no rake and is just straight. Again, great job!
That's 100% exactly how Grumman aircraft were designed and built (and expected) to be landed. No shame. Up to and including the F-14, they were renowned for being indestructible tanks.
I have mine built but in lockdown so I have time to add some details like exhaust pipes and a 3D printed radial engine and landing lights. I had a Corsair but when landing from the east it disappeared when dropping in front of the trees and I flew it into the ground.
Good looking and flying sport scale, nice assembly. Your radio may allow flaperon mixing. Would not expect a huge change, slightly slower, slightly more stable.
A little pudgy like the Wildcat but way more capable. A guy up the road had one in the late-70's--a real one. And he had an engine failure coming back from an airshow in Washington after refueling in Portland. Almost home...and he and the plane got pretty messed up... Maybe 15 years ago I got a tour and got to sit in that plane. As of ~2 years ago the plane was bought/retrieved and is headed towards a flight-ready restoration. I don't know that I've seen a Hellcat at at an airshow in 40 years but if I see this one fly again its going to be through tears.
what type of video camera did you put on that Hellcat which i notice one looking towards the pilot in the canopy and other one was under the the plane looking forwards at rear landing wheels?
This one has had my attention for awhile now, but I've been hesitant thinking it wouldn't fly well with electric. Definitely wrong there. I really like your videos. You seem to hit all the areas I'm wondering about.
0:50 That's our PredB UAV airframe. Where are you flying from? I can't tell what the livery is but I wonder if that's our DHS-CBP customer flying by at a low altitude.
On the second landing I thought you was going to do a go around. I watch you put it together, I didn't want to miss her flying. I have never put anything together like this, I am wondering about the motor (?) Could you had use a gas motor ?
I had just watched your build video for this a couple hours ago and was wondering if there would be a flight review on it. Iv really enjoyed the videos iv watched so far.
That was really cool. I watched the build video the other day. I don't do RC anything but I find it interesting. Is the class of model flown in the video recommended for novice flyers?
👊🤝👊 Very nice and thank you so much for your flight review..i can now see myself buying Hanger9 planes later on down the track as i progress with more experinces..and wacthing your Reviews helps us up n comming Rc pilots..thank you so much 💯💯💯💯❤❤❤❤👊🤝🤝🤝🤝
Hanger 9 planes are top of the line models. He didn't go cheap with anything although most guys swear by Futaba. Spektrum has really come a long way. He stayed away from the safe receiver which in my book is the smart move here. He didn't need it anyways. Eather way, soup to nuts including transmitter, receiver , battery, plane and other electronics probably close to $1,500- $1,800. Still cheaper than fuel powered engine. Would have pushed it well over 2k.
This Plane looks incredible. That was a beautiful skip over the puddle Landing. I loved that.
Thanks for your input I will get one

Bro, I don’t even how TH-cam got me here but I’m so glad it did! This guy is awesome and I’m loving these videos! Keep up the good work dude!
You're like the Bob Ross of airplanes, love your vids brooo
“There’s nothing wrong with having a plane as a friend.”
Yea Fitz is like "I'll just add this happy little plane kit to my garage over here.."
Where has this Dude been all my RC bird life? Love this guy!
Awesome ! And Sir that laugh as you were flying is one of the best I have ever heard ! Thanks for sharing .
I love your positiveness. The world needs more people like you!
The way the sun glints off the fuselage, really special. Good job!
It actually makes a good first war bird because of the hellcats stable design
Looks like it flies very nicely. I had an f6f built from a great planes kit many years ago, with an OS91 four stroke. Beautiful flier. I do think scale models should have engines rather than electric power plants though 😁
you're a good narrator i could listen to you read the ingredients in a box of cereal
I am glad i have found this channel. You are a king.
Hah, hardly. I'm just a guy who really likes toy airplanes.
HobbyView me too man, maybe more of a captain of the vessel haha
That's sweet! I'm in the process of trying to decide between the H9 Hellcat or the Seagull models T-28.
Man that thing really climbs like it own the skies, I like those old warbirds.
That was an excellent landing. You avoided all the puddles perfectly.
I've been waiting for this one. Excellent lockdown viewing. Thank you.
My favorite plane. Something about the wing shape and it's aggressiveness that drew me to it as a kid.
So glad you popped up on my feed new fan here had just watched the build of the hell cat
The german anthem at the end... Looks like the pilot's not very good at keeping secrets ;-)
lol and u didnt watch that red and white bracelet under the workbench...

I love all the sounds it makes
new Video... MUST WATCH IT INSTANTLY!
Hi loving your videos, thanks for taking the time to do these and bring us so much pleasure, I make plastic kits and do flight simming on the PC - one very small thing the aerial on the F6F slants forward not back! Keep up the great work.
i can tell how happy you are with this build Great Job it's Pretty Cool
Now to put the Model Sounds Inc sound system into it. It's a great system. Nice flying by the way.
The onboard camera footage was great
Total success on this project. Love the F6. Nice job on your video and flying.
Great to see a Hellçat in flight...I can only imagine what my dad saw when he was a kid in the Philippines...a dogfight between a Hellcat and a Zero while gun shells are dropping from the sky.
Indeed. Must have been quite a sight.
outstanding shipmate. Thankyou for supporting this fun hobby.
Well, "Grumman" always sounded a bit Teutonic, if you asked me...
It's been a pleasure to watch, thank you, Mr Walker!
Thoroughly enjoy your content. This channel should have many more subscribers. Here's to continued quality content and viewership!
The Airforce loves your vids too. Livefeed from the Reaper Drone
A very nice build and review of a fine looking plane. All the best from Australia
I prefer the full build myself over arf. Actually prefer building them over flying them. Enjoyed your video and the puddle skip was cool
Love your presentations. So informative and entertaining! Only one criticism my friend...that antenna mast is backwards! The Hellcat mast has a distinctive forward rake like the Wildcat OR it has no rake and is just straight. Again, great job!

Did you say 10x8 prop @7.42! Are you sure that's right? Sounds really small for that size motor and size/wt of the plane.
It should be a 16 x 8 prop.
I have mine built but in lockdown so I have time to add some details like exhaust pipes and a 3D printed radial engine and landing lights. I had a Corsair but when landing from the east it disappeared when dropping in front of the trees and I flew it into the ground.
I really enjoyed your 2 videos with the Hellcat. Thank you

Expert level plane , and you made it look like silk. Great work and skill!
You make it all look so easy - You sir are a Master!
Hey, your landing missed the puddle... end of story. A perfect landing. It looks fun to fly.
Nice video! Love the knowledge and info from your builds and video's.
Great Job with this model plane man! Looks like a blast
Satisfying conclusion to your great build video. She’s a beautiful bright blue bird. :D
Excellent piloting skills. Impressive!

That looks the model runway out at JSC!!
Great vid! Well edited. I was gripped!

Beautiful flight Fitz!
Nice little puddle jumper. Pretty Kitty. 👍🏼👍🏼😎✌🏼✌🏼

Excellent video. I love all of your videos. Great flying too
Nicely done. I like your laughing as you fly You remind me of my father a plane nerd.
Nicely done
Dude, Way to go! this was excellent.
How could anyone dislike this video?
Nice flying!
I watched both videos. Great job Thank you
Saw one of these in Virginia, that had a weed wacker engine in it. Was so large, my Cavalier King Charles would have fit nicely in the cockpit
Great content my brother, you could do voice over work for any pbs documentary
Needs a 4 bladed prop to be ideal _Wait, _*_Deutschland Uber Alles is your outro music?_* :O
what type of video camera did you put on that Hellcat which i notice one looking towards the pilot in the canopy and other one was under the the plane looking forwards at rear landing wheels?
Thanks for the excellent review
That may have been not your best landing, but it's a perfect carrier landing!
I like the cockpit TCAS warning "TERRAIN PULL UP".
Nice build and flight!
That intro was great!
This one has had my attention for awhile now, but I've been hesitant thinking it wouldn't fly well with electric. Definitely wrong there. I really like your videos. You seem to hit all the areas I'm wondering about.
I had the same question, seeing 15cc in the title, I thought this was a gas model.
Very nice job! What a great hobby! Looked like a carrier landing!!
Great flight video. Thanks for the upload.
that's a beautiful looking plane!
its a Beautiful aircraft and sounds Awesome !
0:50 That's our PredB UAV airframe. Where are you flying from? I can't tell what the livery is but I wonder if that's our DHS-CBP customer flying by at a low altitude.
That was near Ellington field in Houston.
Very pleasant video sir. What camera did you use inside the plane? Please let me know how to mount it, thanks
Awesome flight !
Pre stay at home flight...beautiful bird...that spec. 8 is cool i have the spec 6.... nice vid stay safe
On the second landing I thought you was going to do a go around. I watch you put it together, I didn't want to miss her flying. I have never put anything together like this, I am wondering about the motor (?) Could you had use a gas motor ?
Try putting an arrestor cable across the runway to avoid the puddles!
Great flying skills!
Hi ,would you be able to give some details in regards to the onboard cameras ?Also why the 2 bladed Prop instead of a 3 like the real thing ? Thanks
Excellent video! Is there a Hanger 9 20CC Mustang in your future?
You are a Great teacher , Cool stuff
Good flight review!
really enjoyed watching your video.
I can't believe the power that motor puts out..
great flying, beautiful bird!
👊🤝👊 Very nice and thank you so much for your flight review..i can now see myself buying Hanger9 planes later on down the track as i progress with more experinces..and wacthing your Reviews helps us up n comming Rc pilots..thank you so much 💯💯💯💯❤❤❤❤👊🤝🤝🤝🤝
That's a Grumman F6F Hellcat. And remember, the name Grumman on aircraft is like sterling on silver:)
you became my favorite tuber'
That looked fun !!
I’m new the RC planes... what camera do you mount onto the model for in flight video?
I’m new to RC and never really looked at planes before. Does the cc refer to the size of the plane? I was expecting it to be a gas engine
Yay
I think it would be a nice touch to tell us what the whole kit and caboodle - soup to nuts - workbench to air cost is for a model like this.
Hanger 9 planes are top of the line models. He didn't go cheap with anything although most guys swear by Futaba. Spektrum has really come a long way. Beautiful bird..... well done, and I must say, sir, you have one heck of a gift!!!!!
