Hangar 9 F6F Hellcat: Is it relevant?

This model has been out for a while now but is it still relevant? Follow along as I go over how this airplane assembles, what's good about it, and how well the maiden flight goes.

Best I can tell you is to check your local swap meets and RC expos. Much like any model that goes out of production, part support is also a problem.

This thing is notorious for control surface flutter and it happened to me. Elevator snapped off in level flight. Total loss. Horizon told me to pound sand because I didn't have a video of it. Use du bro or robart hinges and dual elevator servos if you want this thing to live.

Which radio did you use.

The spinner is designed with threads printed into it. I use a FrSky Horus radio.

Where are the epic tunes, man? That plane looks like a winner. I haven't flown a right-hand pattern at your field, yet. It looks so much tighter than left-hand. Those trees to the northwest look uncomfortably close. I know they aren't that bad, though. Just looks weird!

Nope! Flying with 6000 or 7000 mAh pack all the forward.
