I can confirm as a patient of Dr. Hutcheson that he is so very thorough in his approach. He won’t rush to conclusion on anything and will always dig to find the root cause. Grateful for him and his team and blessed to have them work on my case!

I can’t express enough how much this sounds like what I have. I’ve theorized that the sore muscle in the back of my shoulder is some how the cause of my extremely tight SCM and causing my C1 and C2 to constantly be out of place. After several years of dealing with this and all the symptoms that come with it, I’m now taking a break from working to try and find the fix.

I feel you my C1 and C2 shift to the side, when I put it back in my SCM and other muscles hurt and tighten and I have like 5 to 6 hours with no symptoms until my bones shift back to the left.

Hi Dr. Hutcheson. Can I ask wether the head weights that you utilize on your patients help rebuild proper thickness/tone back in the suboccipital muscles?

Do you think as someone from half way round the world from you, a good start would be to find someone in my country who is very good at dry needling and has a strong understanding of muscle/tendon anatomy to try and address lordosis, C1 etc?

Hey Doc my chiro said he won't dry needle the tendons as it may damage them? Should I just do head weights instead or PRP? (I struggle to hold head up/maintain posture)

This sounds cool but people with these issues are having their tendons massaged or having TPIs and not getting better. Why wouldn’t the tendons just get better on their own or why should I believe that you’re able to find the damaged tendons and regenerate them and produce lasting stability? The diagnostics to show the damage to the tendons and how they’re affecting movement of the bones isn’t actually there.

Thank you for the thoughtful message. We will try to answer your questions through our continued content! In the meantime, feel free to take a look at pubmed articles for some compelling studies showing the effects of dry needling on tendons. There is also a lot of good information out on how tendons and ligaments often require specific stimulation to heal and how muscles - being blood rich, have an easier time ‘self healing’ - feel free to write us at www.doctorhutcheson.com and we will be happy to chat with you more!
