Here me out. Imperial Knight house that fights during midnight. Specializes in low orbit drop assaults.
They call it, "Knightfall."
Sounds cool, always happy to see anything about mechs, and orbital drops are objectively the coolest way to launch into battle
The Black Templar with the power fist at the beginning is so cool! Looks like he's doing a JoJo Pose.😂
I knew EXACTLY where this was going to come from the moment I saw that thumbnail.
the Terminator with the Desolation marine rocket pods marks the third Very cool Terminator kitbash in a black templar army I have seen in as many days
I LOVE THIS! I always thought that the T’au Ghostkeel Battlesuit would make for an amazing BT-7274 kitbash. Would love to maybe see you do that one day if you continue with the Titanfall theme!
The ghostkeel is a cool looking kit I've always wanted to try something with, but I've already made a BT-7274, got a video on it too if you wanna see how I did it
@@DumbRobotStuff I just so happened to find that video right after! It looks great! If you were to ever do something with the ghostkeel I would love to see you do something titanfall themed with it because it looks just like a mash of a couple of different titans
your quickly becoming one of my favourite mech scratch building channels
Ah, we meet again Spicy Robot man. I don't play TT games other than RPG's but I actually get *excited* when I see a new video from you. Because mechs are cool. And somebody who is good at what they do is cool. And Warhammer is cool. So here we are. Keep it up Vato.
Thanks, my love for mech designs in general is what inspires these builds, so I'm glad that comes through and makes my videos interesting for more than just the warhammer part
You gave me a fright! I opened up the waiting room for the premiere three days ago, but forgot about it after closing my entire browser window. I just got recommended a video of yours, your video from two months ago. I thought that video was this video and had an existential panic attack as I thought a very recent feeling memory-just like it waas yesterday-was in reality from two moths ago. Scared the ever living daylights out of me! I felt like the kid from "Old" (the movie from 2021 set in a alcove). Honest to god, I've never felt more fear in my life! The fright I felt from having the realization that time was moving so fast shook me to the bone!
I've turned Ballistus into a Titanfall mech. Love your creations
This is the original conversion that lead me to your twitter, and all the amazing stuff you've made since!
Still need to finish my own version of this conversion, it's been sat in storage with the rest of my Space Marines for ages now
MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS RAAAHHHHHH!!!! IT LOOKS SO GOOD
Wow, never been a big dread fan but this, this is incredible.
Thanks, and that's the wonders of converting, you can take something you don't like, and change it until you do
Right, armored core themed Ion titan would be “splendiferous”…
I love watchIn your videos. The end result always blows me away
Absolutely glorious. Everything about your builds is an inspiration for my own nonsense, and I hope I can capture even a little of this magic tbh.
If I can do even 1/4 as well my L3-M4N RS5 mechs should be awesome.
Thanks, and good luck with your own build, sounds cool, I do like a good mecha-tank
Tell us more about this seeming mech tank!
@@nicolastousignant9160 Oh sure!
So the army I'm working on is themed kind of loosely on Battletech mercenaries and space pirates - it's an Imperial Guard army by the rules, but I wanted them to be very distinct.
So I'm making all of the 'tanks' into mechs, using Genestealer Cult Neophytes for the infantry except with headswaps to be normal humans.
Plan is to start with a Redemptor dread as a base, reverse the joint at the knees, lengthen the torso, and mount the main gun cannon on the right arm, with the sponsons going where the storm bolters on a regular Redemptor would go, and the heavy stubber and lascannon mounted on the 'nose'.
The area where the sarcophagus would normally peak out will be converted to a more typical pilot seat.
If I can pull it off, it'll look something akin to the Battletech mech the Bushwacker, though obviously not exact.
So overall a longer, lower more birdlike mech design that should still feel beefy enough to read as a 'tank'.
That's the intention at least.
@@mistformsquirrel that sounds awesome! (Also a great mech) hopefully this is something we get to see at some point
Look very Robocop 2 like. Awesome build
truly magnificent
Absolutely awesome
This looks great! Well done for this!
Would love to see a full on Titanfall board game/TTG. Would be great!
If only there were a titanfall ttg, but I'm alright making my own minis for now, for existing stuff, lancer is probably the closest TTG for mech stuff, been meaning to try that anyway
Incredible conversion dude, this is so cool to see and you did an amazing paint job too. Sadly I do feel the arm pose is a little awkward from the 3D printed parts, but it doesn't detract too much. Will be following this channel with great interest!
Yeah, not everything turns out perfectly and there's some stuff you just gotta roll with, but I think it's still a pretty good model at the end of it all
Omg my love of titanfall and my hate love with warhammer mixed into one awesome model. This is so sick man
Love this, please keep building and sharing! So good to see and so inspiring.
Always a treat to see an upload.
love these so much thought and detail in each one
Seeing a Hulk or other automatons from Hell Divers 2 would be awesome to see
I like it you gave me so many ideas thanks for the inspiration 😊
That is an amazing build. Cant wait to see what you do next
If you haven't already, I feel like you would love OPR.
im really in love with titanfall 2 n grey knights you made me motivated to try to make a titanfall dreadknight i just have no idea how to
Good luck, and to get started, take a look at some of the titanfall designs you like, and see what parts you can replicate, doesn't have to be anything crazy at first, I'm only at this point after kitbashing almost constantly for 2-3
@DumbRobotStuff-fh6dz I'll do that thank you so much for the motivation and help
as always, it's beautiful, keep it up!
Awesome
Cool!
super cool, love the tf content
cool
Yeeeeees... can't wait.
👍
I dunno if you're familiar with the TTRPG Lancer but I feel like you could do some great kitbashing based on those models.
I haven't had the chance to played it myself, but I did back the kickstart for it years ago, and I'm a huge fan of Payton Gee's art for it. Not sure if I'd know enough to kitbash something based on it, but I always appreciate the cool mechs at least
I would pay for this. I want it so badly
Subbed 😊
Guys will see shit like this and think "hell yeah"
Hell Yeah
Nice, looks kinda Mechwarrior, though I'm blanking on the specific mech's name.
edit- remembered, it looks like a Nightstar
Well then, this is simply incredible! You wouldn't happen to have the height for it as well, my desire is to use this like an armiger stand in?
it's about 11-12cm, which I think is around the same size as an armiger, so it should work as a stand-in
Красивая моделька
Request your old work , Questoris Knight
I am planning on making another questoris knight conversion soon, and I will be making a video on it, so I’ll be sure to mention how I made my old one in the video too
@@DumbRobotStuffngl I really wna try making one for the prismatic galleries
@@DumbRobotStuff your work inspire me a lot
Plan to buy new Knight and turn into Armored Core
Awesome conversion. How do you go about getting all those different parts for the conversion? Are they left-overs from older kits you had?
I've been making conversions for a while now so I do have a lot of leftovers from previous builds. Depending on the build, and if I don't have the parts already, I buy one or two kits to use as a base, try to use as much of those bits as I can, but also get some bits individually from elsewhere(normally ebay) if I'm looking for a specific detail/shape
@@DumbRobotStuff Wicked. Cheers for the response, mate.
Oh i would love to what youd do with a Invictor Warsuit
Probably something similar to this, I just have an urge to make mechs, an invictor might make a good base for an ion maybe
@@DumbRobotStuff a Titanfall styling embarking space marine on a Invictor Ion kitbash you'd make would send me to heaven
What about mixing gunpla bits with models?
scorch next please
what thickness of plasticard do you use?
1mm, I find that generally works for most cases
Holdup space marines get *individual* models for sub factions??
(I am guard player)
Yeah, marines are real popular so they get a lot of stuff. Depending on how popular the sub faction they get anything between: nothing, occasional transfers in big boxes, upgrade kit parts, fully unique models and even their own collection boxes.
Guard gets some kinda sub faction stuff, even if they get rolled into their usual army in the end, like their attilans, or the killteams like kriegs. I'd love anything like that for my main army of admech, we just get told to paint them differently
@@DumbRobotStuff it’s a shame isn’t it
It is what it is, but if nothing else it's a good excuse to kitbash and convert more
If you could make it again would you consider selling it?
It's not likely, I don't like making the same thing twice, and these builds need so many parts and take so much time I'd rather spend on something else. To make it worth it for me, it'd be a price too high for me to feel comfortable asking it of someone.
Alright I understand
I hate to say this, but... It's not a Dreadnought, it's an Automaton. You have to fight these guys in Helldivers 1 & 2 xDDD
Stop, please. The PTSD of fighting Hulks is too much to bear.
so about 3000 bux worth of other kits lol.... rich mans hobby
You're right, it's definitely not cheap, but it can be made to not be super expensive, like this build: I said I had the redemptor spare, which was from the black templar army set(bulk boxes like those and combat patrols are cheaper than buying them all individually), I got the armiger legs as a leftover from some previous builds, all the stormraven parts I got as a box of unused bits from someone second-hand on ebay(always great for spare bits to convert with), I got the arms 3d printed from a local 3d printer for relatively cheap, and I buy a lot of bits individually on ebay or from bits sites, so I don't have to buy whole kits for a few parts.
And with all this time I spend building, it takes me way longer to make stuff, which means I don't need to buy as much stuff to always have something to be working on, so it kind of evens out a little in the end too
RIP Warhammer...
