Of course we want to see you paint it, that's why we are here dude, your Kit Bashes are EPIC!!!!!!!
Heck jah
I'm still waiting for the last bits bash to be painted.
Yes paint it, And my be a give a way
Nah, grey tide forever! (Yes, this is called sarcasm)
Homo
Now you just need to make one massive Space Marine from the other half
Tengen Toppa Adeptus Astartes
Mecha shiva
one massive pyramid of their helmets and arms all holding bolters. the iron hands would approve
With its huge claws it would make the perfect proxy for a hormagaunt
Hormagaunt? More like hormathick! 😂
*20 man squad of these running up the board*

norn queen kit when?
@@captainginyu2310 not exactly what happened but you were close
fun fact: Thorax + Abdomen are both combined the same part of the human body, we just call it our "Torso." Thorax is your shoulders + ribcage, Abdomen is your gut and intestines. If you reach the butt, you are officially out of Abdomen territory :)
Would love to see the paint job! As a "counts as" - maybe a Scythed Hierodule? They ship on a 130mm base so that's about as close as you may get. They're in the Forge World data sheets if you want to have a nosey.
True
Scythed Heirodule is on a 125mm base, so this thing should be like 66-100% bigger given it's filling a 180mm base. The Heirodule models do extend past their base, but only because of arm modelling and tails.
The Bio-titan if it's 11x11 in is like, 50% bigger again than this. It's an awkward size. Need more nid models I guess, whatever happened to the Dimachaeron?
@@Derploopthe dimacheron isn’t that big.
The Dimachaeron is pretty tall, sits on a medium oval base. This feels like it's the same size, just jot standing on 2 legs from model size. Hierophant is like 14" x 12" x 16-18". I have one, this aint even close
@@SeanHoltzman why is the model oop?
Looks about the right size for a Sythed Hierodule, which is the other tyranid forgeworld model. 👍
It is a bit to large. Hierodules use 125mm bases
Yep that would be my take too. The bigger base size is just a sacrifice you sometime have to make with cool conversion like that! It's more of a penalty for you anyway so anyone outside of a tournament shouldn't have an issue with that.
LOVE! With the scale that that's on... What about showcasing some stuff that's harder to pull of on small minis?
Stippling, use of gloss (chitin), or crabby/animal patterning etc.
Or just anything from nature :)
I have been using a very old soldering iron. I removed the tip and added a razor blade, creating a hot knife. It works amazingly well for bashing. I would love to know how I can get some "extremely cheap" bits so, I too can create works of art like this. AMAZING. My military disability doesn't leave much for funtime. God bless, and keep up the great work...you rock!
Oh heck yeah, your kit-bashes are always an incredible inspiration for me. I'm strapping myself in with a beer for Daryl, this is going to be special.
I think you could continue the smoke/acid cloud effect that's on the rear of the model to the vents on the middle section that would look amazing. Really tie the two parts together and give you an interesting painting opportunity on the final product.
Yes please paint it! One of the things I find most interesting in painting tyranids is that they are 100% organic. There's so much color in nature to draw inspiration from. From the blue ringed octopus, cow killer ant, and even monarch butterflies it's like tyranids were made for colorful nature schemes!
Of course we all would love to see this bad boy get the Ninjon Treatment. The landscaping on the base begs the question of what the planet would look like and what additional details would entail.
The naming people were consistent. Abdomen just means "the cavity where the gut/etc. is". And, insects basically don't have a Butt, so their body ends at the abdomen.
Long version - most of a mammal's "butt" is the muscles that drive the hind-legs, and insects don't have this. All their legs are kinda like arms (or fore-legs), and come out from their torso/thorax. So their body ends at the abdomen (which happens to be round).
I.e. the mammal body goes "head, torso with arms/fore-legs, abdomen, bottom with hind-legs" whereas the insect body goes "head, torso with many legs, abdomen".
To put it another way. That's not the insect's bottom that's its belly. Insects don't have bottoms.
Brilliant kit bash, and you MUST do the follow up painting video, give the public what they want! 😁
Our 'Thorax' is our chest area, we call it the thoracic cavity and it houses your heart and lungs. Our 'abdomen' is our abdominal cavity and is a separate cavity below the thoracic cavity which contains our digestive organs. We don't have a butt cavity.
I mean, of course! Your kitbashed models are always amazing! Would love to see it painted!
Great job on the kitbash, and yes, of course we want to see you paint it!
I've been using Apoxie Sculpt for more than 20 years, tried the others and they don't even start to compare.
Anyway, thank you for sharing so much of your work with everyone. ❤
Absolutely. Love to see you paint it!
If they release the Norn Emissary that is mentioned in the core rule book, this might be a great alternative.
We’ll do I have news for you
Seeing it painted will pushed it to the next level. I cannot wait to see it.
The movement really adds so much to the whole model and draws it together well. Awesome kitbash!
Fantastic work! Let’s see a part 2 of you painting this monstrosity step by step. 👍🏽😊
Hey Jon. This is awesome! Can’t wait to see the paint job. I’ve been saving this video for when I sit down to paint this weekend, but I ended up having a mini stroke on Wednesday so watched it in hospital instead. Lost some use of my left hand which is my mini holding hand so unsure of when I’ll be back at the table. Lots of time to watch TH-cam and make plans for minis now!
So random bug facts (I used to want to be an entomologist) but the insect abdomen isnt just "the butt". It actually contains all the main organs, much like our abdomen does.
Great job! This got me thinking about what exactly is in my Nid bits bag after 200+ models and what insane horror I might be able to make out of it.
In Werner Herzog's voice: I would like to see you paint the big bug.
It would be great to see it painted!! I enjoy your channel and painting so much! It helped me start out on my painting journey. Keep it up, great job!
Would be amazing to see a part two for this. It looks awesome already. But would love to see it painted.
We absolutely want to see this painting. I am definitely going to be copying and pasting this onto the extra tyranid models that I have.
This is absolutely great, really inspired!
Your kitbash videos are my favorite ! I watched the chaos knight 5 times and it gave me inspiration to kitbash mine. Can't wait to see it painted, great video Ninjon !
I really like your kitbash/conversion videos dude, keep them coming!
I wanna see it painted! It’s so cool seeing them all put together!
Definitely paint it up I love this! Also was good to see the methodology of the base design with it.
Yes, please, paint it! I LOVE you kit bashes. They are my favorite.
Would LOVE to see it painted of course
This is what I’ve been doing for years, building a fleet of little spaceships from spare bits. Love kitbashing!
Absolutely we want you to paint it !!! The real question is what scheme !! Kitbash Tyranids I think need something totally custom , but with all the desert scenery I recommend a scheme like the starship trooper bugs colors
Loved the kitbash. Looking forward to the painting.
Definitely want to see you paint this great build.
I've considered doing something very similar to this with my big bugs! This may just give me the push I need to do it! Awesome video!
I think we'd all love to see a painting video for this, great job!
The pose makes it look like this Nid is MOVING!
I wonder if there would be an easy way to make the smoke plumes blow backwards like exhausts, rather than forwards like now
This was a really interesting and fun video. Thanks for putting this out for us. Can't wait to see the matching paint video.
That's some great modeling / sculpting work, especially the sprue glue use - can't wait for the painting vid tho :D
That thing looks WILD!! Love it! ...and yes you definately need to paint it!
Absolutely NEED to see this painted please!
That's dope , i cannot wait to see you paint this big beastie
Been thinking of using them as Kitbash resources too because I don't plan on starting a tyranid army.
I'll probably go in the chaos direction though. Should be a lot of useful stuff there.
Also, yes to the painting video. Big yes.
That looks so cool! It would be awesome to see a video of it being painted!
Awesome kitbash! Especially the base. Yes you have to paint it, remember to slay the grey!
I’d love to see you paint this soon!!! Looks awesome.
Thats is super amazing... and as a newly tyranid-player I also have the monsters twice and will steal this awesome, awesome idea!!
Yet another inspiring video! Thank you!
Definitely needs painting. Looks amazing already so we need to see it finished!
Words cannot describe how cool this is!
Please show us how you plan to paint it!!
It's amazing to see you having fun with this video! You're always the guy I come back to watch because not only do you give great tutorials, these videos that are more geared towards entertainment are really awesome. Keep up the good work and please for the love of god paint this model and the base. Slay the grey!
You did an awesome job of kitbashing the various parts of the Tyranids, you're half way there, paint it up! I'm sure it will be a stunning piece, but I don't know much about the Tyranids to know how it'd be used in the game.
Looks sick! Absolutely want to see how you paint it up too
Hell yes, paint video. I was really hoping it was already available to watch after this!
Always appreciate your creativity and flare. You are always an inspiration
Yeah we gots to see this painted! Great video, Jon
That's a great conversion! This little creepy crawly screams to be painted. I think you could really use oils to speed up the painting of her.
Absolutely need to see you paint this beast!
Great idea, Daryl!
Jon, we need a painting video for this!
Great stuff! Thanks!
Pick you up a big bag of sanded grout. It's fantastic for sand texture, and super cheap. Just make sure you don't add too much water, or it will dry glass smooth instead of textured.
Awesome! Love the full on creativity roll you've been on
I absolutely love this and am very tempted to get the leviathan box just to replicate this! Definitely paint it up for a video! If I may add my un-asked for 2 cents, I'd remove the smoke looking effect coming from the "smoke stacks" on the bum of the bug, since he's got plenty of other ones without it!
Paint that sucker! Can’t wait! Show Vince how awesome sculpted smoke can be!
I love kit bashing! I really enjoyed the end result of this one and I for one would love to see a painting video for this monstrosity 😁
awesom!!! just sooo cool and inspiring
please go paint this up soon. can't wait to watch that episode
Absolutely - I would love to see that monster painted.
Love your content, thank you for your time and energy! Hope to see this monstrosity of a bug painted! One love x
I want to see this painted!
As always, wonderful video! Keep up the great work!
Man this is why love kitbashing, it allows for some really cool ideas.
And yes i would like to see this painted.
Hell yeah we wanna see it painted! Looks amazing!
Should have watched this when it was on my recomendations, I had to look for it and Im glad I did. I think that what you did there really helped the siloette of the original design, which looked kinda derpy to me with its tiny lowslung front end. Nice job
That looks so good, the neurotyrant crown makes it perfect
Awesome job as always!
I would LOVE to see this big bug painted like the queen she is.
I definitely need a video of you painting this awesome bug!!!!!
Dope Kit bash! Hell yeah we want to see it painted!
Imagine this facing off against a comparatively tiny Dreadnaught - epic :) Yes please to a paint job!
Scythed hierodule proxy for sure, that looks awesome!
Can't wait to see this painted
Definitely need to see that wee beasty painted.
Cool video! I would like to see a part 2. Painting MASSIVE Tyranid. )
Looks great, looking forward to the painting video of htis beasty!
As for on the use, maybe it could fit as a Hierodule proxi ?
Love the angle, Jon!
I’ve been using a cheap $20 rotary drill with a longer engraving bit to take off mold lines. Works well if you’re careful.
Yes please paint it !! model looks amazing !
Not even a minute in, and the Kirkland Signature shirt tells me this video deserves an upvote
Really cool! I would love to see you paint this thing up. Might I suggest removing the flames/smoke from the abdomen? It seems to be going in reverse.
definitely want to see this painted, my one critique would be that the little legs on the back of the giant thorax seem a bit off, usually smaller legs will be positioned towards the front so the mouth can be close to the food source. but that is just my 2 cents.
Look forward to seeing the paint video.
Id love to watch you paint this!
Awesome insect ! Great video !
Amazing model! It feels so natural and even an official GW model!!
Slay that Grey! I really want to see this critter painted.
