Thank you for the step-by-step tutorial! I applied for the citizenship myself today and it just took me a few hours. You made it seem pretty easy Fawzia! 😌
So happy to read this! All the best
Hi Fawzia, thanks for the video, it is very straight forward. I just have 1 question regarding the digital photo. Do I need to attach both front and back scanned photo or just front side of the photo and provide the store details below?
I did front and back just to be safe but I heard front works too
Hi Fawzia, first of all thank you so much for making this video. This was really helpful. I have a question, in the last 5 years, within the first 2 years 8 traveled 3 other countries for vacation. So, do I need to put those records? If yes, then in which section I should those info? Also, do I need to scan and upload the Visa and Travel stamps pages of those 3 countries those I visited before coming to Canada? Again, if yes, then in which section that should be?
Mo you don't need to put it since it was just vacation. However, while calculating the no of days that you ere physically present, you have to put in the dates you entered and left the country so that they can accurately count the days you were here in Canada.
Hi Fawzia, thank you for your detailed video. Regarding the Residence and Tax tab, do you need to put details of every time you’ve left the country (even prior to coming to Canada), if for instance it’s for a vacation or a holiday also? Please let me know. Thank you
I am glad it was helpful! And yes you have to mention all the times you left the country if its in the last 5 years
Hi Fawzia, thanks for this informative video, I just have a quick question, Do I need to upload all colored documents or black and white?
You're welcome! It has to be uploaded as original documents so colour.
Hi Fawzia , thank you very much for the step-by-step instruction to fill the application. I do a have a concern before clicking application which one do I need to choose to move forward. We are two adults in PR status and one minor child (16 years, PR status). Can I apply together for three of us or do I need to apply separately for my daughter? If I can apply together, please guide me which link do I want to click to move forward?
Thank you in advance.
Hello thank you for the helpful video, just wanted your opinion on the residence question. 18:02
I have entered my country of citizenship already, but I also was studying in the UAE for 2.5 years (high school) before moving to Canada. Do you think I should include that too?
Yes you have to if its within the 5 year period
Hi Fawzia! Congrats, great video. Ref Taxes, just wondering if IRCC figures out that when you become a PR your SIN number is a new one. It means, temporary residents have a SIN Number and, when they turn PR a new SIN Number is issued. In the application there's space for only one SIN Number. Should we include a Letter of Explanation about it (including the old SIN number) or leave it? Many thanks!
I think you should put a letter of explanation for Old SIN just to be safe
Hi Fawzia, thanks for the great presentation. I have a question regarding Language proof.
Would my CELPIP from 2020 be valid for the Citizenship Application? Alternatively, could I use my college diploma as language proof?
Thanks in advance!
I am glad it helped! I have a question for you in return, did you use CELPIP to come here in Canada as a PR? If you did , then that is enough. If you didn't you have to sit for a language test
hello fawzia, new subscriber, very helpul video. do we have a separate link for individual application? even if only one person applies, is it adult 5(1), same form? i got confused whether it is group application form.
Hi, yes it's the same form
Thanks for this amazing informative video, I had the following quick questions:
1. For Proof of Language, Can I still upload IELTS for general that I wrote 2 years ago( which I am not sure if I could upload since they have a validity of 2 years) OR If could upoad my Post- Secondary Diploma from recognised Canadian Educational Institution.
2. For the eligibility period for Physical Presence, it is until the date we are calculating it online. My question is can I still submit the application within 60 days or do I need to re calculate the days again to update the period?
I would appreciate your quick attention to this 😊
I am glad it was helpful!
1. You can upload your old general IELTS one, I uploaded mine from 2017,since we qualified for PR and came with that, they expect us to know English and won't create any problem with old one
2. Best to calculate it again before paying for the application, so that it has the current number but it shouldn't matter as long as you're eligible on the day you did it previously! Hope it helps!
Hello fawzia, good video, is this same for individual adult or group applicant?
Yes same for individual adult too
Hi, under the immigration and citizenship status field at 18:02 in the video - Do i still need to mention about my student visa and tourist visa details from the US & UK if it is before the 5 year eligibility period?
No if it doesn't fall under the 5 year period it's not required to mention
Hello, very helpful video. I have one question. Do i need to mention if i have only completed 1 semester of my diploma in the history? I completed 1 semester and then I dropped out of the diploma on my PR status
yes have to mention everything
Thanks a lot for the detailed video.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so ,it's really helpful for me 😊❤
Glad to hear that!
Hi, Thank you so much this is very helpful, regarding the immigration status question, I was born in a country which does not give citizenship so I was there on residence visa since birth, I am also what you call stateless what should I do I'm very confused. I have a travel document only.
If you have the travel document, just enter that. That should be enough
for this question "Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?" Did you not mentioned Saudi under visitor or worker since the status drop down has more options other than Citizen?
nope, because even though I was born in Saudi Arabia, I never obtained citizenship or immigration
Hi Fawzia, Thank you very much for your step-by-step information. I have a question for you? my wife is living in Canada over five yrs. now. She can't learn English; she tried a lot. she studied her school in back home with her native language. she is not much literate. is there any way to waive the English test reequipments? if so, how and what documents required to be submitted in the online application? your help in this regard will be much appreciated. Thanks, Amiri.
Hi there, I don't think she needs a really good score to apply for citizenship. She probably needs CLB 4 in all bands which is very low. I think if she takes some classes she will be able to score it, don't know of any other way it can be by-passed
Hello. When did you receive oath ceremony after you competed/passed your test? Thanks.
I received it approximately 3 months after the test
@@allaboutfawzia thank you so much!
Thank you so much. it is very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Hello Fawzia, Firstly I wish you a great day ahead when you are reading this. I want to ask a question about that police certificate, do I need to provide it? because I have been in Canada since 2016 and came as a student then to my work permit in 2018 then I got PR in 2021. Went for vacations to India, Dubai and India. Do I need to provide any?
If you haven't stayed more than 6 months in each country during your vacation you don't need to provide PC
hello, Great video. I have one question. I used to work from home for different province in canada while living in different province. In work history , Which address would go under address section employer's or mine address?
the address you get paid in, if youre getting paid as your province rate put that
Hello, pls i have a question, is the police clearance exempted if we have stayed 4yrs in Canada and have not left the country since? Can i use my degree certificate as proof of language as my studies was instructed in English (Nigeria), though it's not stated oj the certificate that language of instruction is Eng, but the certificate was issued in English.
you do have to show your previous police clearance which you got before moving to Canada. And for the second one, it should work but may delay in application. best case is to do IELTs general
Hello thanks for a very nice video , please can you let me know if we have to provide the PR details in the citizenship section aswell ?
I don't think you need to, since COPR and other details will indicate how many years you stayed
Hello for the police certificate I was confused I was in the other country for 4 years and go back to my home country and came to Canada while I apply for my PR I already submitted my police clearance from the other county and police clearance from my home country as well so I need to submit a new one?thank you
Hi there, nope those are good. Just submit what you did for PR and it should be okay for processing
Hi Fawzia,
i received my Acknowledgement letter. Do I need to link the application with my GC key account or not? if yes how can i link my application to Gckey account,if I go to link my application and select category citizenship then what sub category do I need to select?
Thanks,
Hi there, you don't need to do anything once you submit application. Just keep checking your application periodically.
Hi, if I went for vacation to my home country and took leave from work. Then back to work after 3month and continue my same job then that 3month time period that I spent in my vacation goes into “unemployment” or not?
Thank you
If you were not paid in those 3 months, then you can mark as unemployment and give reasoning as unpaid vacation
Hello.. Do we have to upload back side of the photo as well where photographer's address is stampted? So two pictures combined in one page. Thank you.
I have the same question.....
No need to upload backside
Hi, when I sign in to my account it shows you will get your AOR after we check but I already got AOR email. Do I need to link my file or what?
no you don't sometimes it takes time to update. Check back in a couple weeks or so.
how to add kid as i didnt see any option for adding co applicant (minor) i did see the option for adult
Fawzia, The Canadian!🇨🇦
Cheesy lines 😂 But, I like the sound of it 😬 Hope you're well Marlon!
if I was on temporary layoff during COVID-19 times, then do I need to say I was unemployed in that period. I am confused because I was getting CERB that time
yes you do, you have to fill all gaps, its okay if you were on CERB but you were laid off, mention the reason
In September last year, when I submitted the citizenship application for my children, they did not ask me about the study report at school. Now the file is being processed. Do I have to send it to them or is there a way to speed up the processing of the file?
I think if they didn't ask for it, no need to send
Hi, I have a question. I haven’t yet filed the taxes for 2023, can I apply for my citizenship now or should I wait till I file my tax?
if you've filed taxes for last 3 years and also you did stay 1095 days , you're eligible to apply
Thx for the video. i have 1 question. i started my studies in 2017 dec and finished in 2018 April and after i applied for my work permit and after i got my PR in 2021 November and today i was trying to applying my citizen ship but it shows it need more days . i stuck on the physical presence part. I dont know what to fill in that section. I filled my study time and I got the points for that but there is no column for work permit . it shows visitor, temporary foreign worker and temporary resident permit holder.i dont know which one to choose.
Hi There!
Please select temporary foreign worker section for work permit category.
Hi yes, Temporary foreign worker should be the option
Hi thank you for the video.
How should I respond to the question "Have you ever had immigration or citizenship status in a country..." if I lived in a GCC country from 2009 to 2015 on a residence visa?
Was it PR or TR? if it's temporary residence it's not important but you do have to mention if you were PR
Thanks
Thanks
In the Residence section, its asking the "list all addresses inside and outside of Canada during your entire 5-year eligibility period." I have filled all the Canadian addresses where I have lived in the last 3.5 years.
However, before that I was living at the same address in India since birth. So for the Indian address, do I need to put my birth date or just like 01 Jan 2018 to satisfy the 5 eligibility year period?
jan 01 2018 just to satisfy the five year period
Did you have to provide Indian PCC because you stayed in India for more than 143 days in last 4 years?
Hi Fawzia, thank you for the video. I have a question, I came to Canada as a student in 2018, did my Masters and then I had work permit and then I took PR. So, i got to know that for me it will be 2 years(730) days instead of 3 years(1095) days. If that is true, then will system allow me to apply for citizenship? Also, My Masters education duration was 16 months.
Yes, absolutely! You can calculate if you're eligible for citizenship by checking with the physical days calculator on canada.ca website and if you're you can apply
I recently changed my name, from given name to first and last name, and I am living in ontario, so do I need to upload a supporting document for this (while applying for Canadian citizenship) ? Because I don’t have first and last name on Passport, but now onwards I do have first and last name on my Ontario’s driving licence.
yes you need supporting evidence
Hello, on my passport, under the given name, my full name appears, but the surname column is blank. However, on my landing papers, they put my first and last names under family name. So my issue is, can I add my first and last name beneath the family name to make an account?
Yes you can, has to be same as COPR
Hi , For Photo do i have to upload the stamp side as well?
No need
Ma sha Allah ❤
thank you 😬

super easy and efficient
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Fawzia, what about adding the children below 18? Do you have another video showing this part of the application?
Hi there, I don't have another video but it should be pretty straight forward like this one, I think just adding a minor to this application will work
I have a question..when paying the application fee I paid $630 + $75 for application certificate did I do right thing or I just had to only pay for the application fee of $630???
I don't remember paying $75 for application certificate it was just $630.
@@allaboutfawzia do you know where I can apply for the refund of $75 which I paid extra??
Hi Fawziah 👋In the language proof , I select LInch for new comers and I completed the linc in the year 2021 to 2024 and got certificate . But it asks there If i have completed and got score of clb 4 or higher from Jan 2008 to October 2012 , I am confuse of what will i answer . Will it be yes or no ? Thank you ❤
Answer is no and show the recent proof
Hello, I am trying to link up my husband as co- applicant but I am bit confused bcq it show's invitation sent but in email does'nt show anything to link
maybe check his email and see if he got a group invite
Hi, I have a Question, I came to Canada in 2016 as a student and got my PGWP in 2018 and PR in 2021. so in the last 5 years, I was a PGWP holder and it give me 3 options. Which one to choose?? 1. Temporary Foreign Worker, 2. International Student and 3. Temporary Resident Permit Holder. Please let me know if you know the answer.
International student seems like the best option here
Hello fawzia , my wife came here as a permanent resident. She doesn't have any schooling in canada and she hasn't done any language exam as well. She has school documents from her home country school. Would that be a problem when applying for citizen.
Hi there, it shouldn't be a problem as long as she gave IELTS general before coming and stayed for more than 1095 days in Canada
Can a Major applicant with his Minor Son apply for the Canada Citizenship application online as a family or a group?
yes they can apply as a group
Fawzia thanks just a question i am 55 years old, the text are required ??
which text are you talking about?
do i need to put usa visitor visa info in (immigration and citizenship status)
yes, if you've been to the states during the last 1095 days
hey, can you be more specific on who has to do Ielts again and who don't have to give
If you did ielts general and came as PR you don't need to do it again
I do have ESL certificate
It has 4 level in speaking & listening
Is that valid ?
I am not sure, you probably have to get that evaluated. Best case is to submit IELTS general
🎉Thank you so much 🎉more blessings 🙌
You are so welcome!
Hi, I just wanna know where to find UCI? I’m applying a minor for Canadian citizenship. She was born outside Canada with a Canadian father. I cannot proceed due to lacking of UCI Numbers. I hope you can help ma
you find UCI in COPR papers
What happens if you do not receive an AOR, after submitting your application?
if everything is done properly, you should receive an AOR, if not send them an email
@@allaboutfawzia good to know, thanks
You never mentioned the citizenship test !! Is it still mandatory please?
Yes it is! Once you submit this application, it goes under processing and they ask you to sit for the Citizenship Test halfway through processing ( we sat for it about 3 months after we submitted this application)
really helpfull
I am glad it helped!
Hi again,
How long does it take to review citizenship application?
takes about 6 months now to citizenship
@@allaboutfawzia thank you for your reply 👍
My husband came here as PR , whn i sponser him after our marriage. Do he need to give a english test(ielts).
If yes, can we upload the expired certificate or it must be valid.
He needs to give the general ielts, if he did it before then no need for it again but if he didnt do that, he needs to sit for it
Where we have to add kids under 5(2) details in this?
I believe it's in the beginning, you have to add the minors separately
Hey there is Police clearance required if yes where to upload it?
only upload PC which you used in PR application but if you've stayed more than 6 months in a country, then you need new PC
I came from Kuwait. How can I get police clearance do you have any idea
unfortunately I don't know
Thank you
You're welcome!
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
I am applying with a minor. I was able to sign and submit my own application. But it’s not allowing me to sign and submit the application for the minor. Can paid all of the fees.
I am not sure why it's doing that, maybe email idcc if its still not letting you
Same as mine, they say leave it blank because my husband is canadian citizen but it doesnt complete, eve with N/A
Can I along with my daughter minor as well with my application
yes you can
My girlfriend is a Canadian PR. She came to Canada on a student visa in 2015 and became a PR in 2019. She took IELTS exams even after becoming a PR for the purpose of her nursing License, but those were all unsuccessful. So Now, for the purpose of Citizenship application, Can she submit the successful IELTS certificate that was taken 6 years ago ?.. Please respond
No it has to be IELTS general not academic, if she didnt do general she needs to do it
@@allaboutfawzia Yeah.. It was a general test that she took for PR application 5 years ago .. But it is expired. Can I submit the same for the Citizenship application ?..
Hi dear, can i add my husband? He got pr in august 2023
no, he needs to be in Canada for 3 years to apply for citizen
is there a separate fee for citizenship test?
nope, everything is included in the application
do i need to scan all the pages of my passport? thanks for answering
Just the bio page so depending on the country, the first page or the first and second page
Do I need to put my name and Date of birth at the back of the photo? Plz let me know?
No you don't need to do that
Good Video.Nicely explained.Your English Ascent is not Saudi nor Bangla but more of a Canadian.
Thank you!

Thank you!
Hi can you make video how to apply for minor ?
I can try to make one, I'll look into it
@@allaboutfawzia Thank you
My child is 7 years old. She stared her school in Canada. For the school record what to give. Here they don’t give any proof.
Is PR card id number called UCI number as well?
Nope, UCI number is the number in your COPR
