Some of the rules have changed. They're now only asking for the Bio pages of the Passport only. The two pieces of ID can include a valid or expired PR card. The website has been improved a ton, and the process has been made a lot easier.
Yep, I always include full copies of passports covering the period. It allows us to check travel for our clients to ensure accuracy, especially if they have lots of entries/ exits. IRCC can also request it in the future so I give it to them upfront.

Thank you for the insightful videos your are uploading. I would appreciate if you can answer my 2 questions below:
1. I haven't left Canada since I became PR and my passport from my country of origin is expired. I haven't renewed due to cost of renewing, no plans of traveling outside Canada soon and will be eligible to apply for citizenship in 2023. Can I still apply for the Canadian citizenship or do I need renew my passports prior?
2. Based on the Physical Presence Calculator, 2023 is the year for me to meet the 1095 days physcially present requirement. Can I start submitting my application process now and date the online submission on 2023?

Hi, thanks for the informative video. Can I use a non-photo ID (e.g. Alberta Health Card) as the 2nd ID if the 1st ID is a photo ID (e.g. PR card)? None of these example IDs has signature on it though. So should I use a foreign passport as the 1st ID which has a signature on it?
The confusion arises because the online application portal says that the ID needs to have name, DOB, photo and signature. TIA.
Hi there, a few questions before I apply:
-Can I use the degree and transcript of my Bachelors degree from a University in my country of origin? Both the degree and transcripts are in English originally and the language of instruction is also English. Or do they only accept a degree from a Canadian Institution?
-I have overlapping passports over the last 5 years since I had to renew them, should I scan the most recent passport or all of the ones that have an issue date within the last 5 yrs prior to my application?
-with an electronic application since I will be sending digital copies of my photo, do I still need to have the name etc on the back of the photo? They only do that for physical photos.
- You mentioned here that PR card is not a valid ID but it is listed on the website as a valid ID so can you clarify that please?

Just want to ask about the physical presence calculator and on page 3 of our citizenship application should be the same date right?
How about in page 8 were there is signature and date sign? It should be the same date on physical presence calculator and page 3 of our application?
Because we having trouble validating it?
We add just 1 day, is it ok?
And how about the language proficiency? I have ielts but my wife don’t have it, is it ok to send her school report card or transcript shows that she has English class?

Hey jade i hope your doing well I just submitted my application but unfortunately after submitting there was this question which i misunderstood it could seem stupid but when it was written if i ever held any immigration or citizenship other than canada where i answered no but im citizen of the country where i was born i just realized it after downloading my file and while reading it to check all tbe details how i could fix this problem

If you could please help
The day you leave and the day you arrive back in Canada count as present in Canada. So overnight trip does not impact your days. Not disclosing the trip might be an issue though.
Hey there.. I have submitted my citizenship application online week ago and I forget to upload the back side of the photo with information.. what should I do.. I mean how I can fix it.
For Employment History, does IRCC checks for Record of Employment? If the occupation/job title in the Roe doesn't match the last occupation in a company (e.g. employee had promotion(s), but Roe shows the first occupation instead of the last one) can this create some issue in case all job positions are added as individuals entries in the Employment History?
Unlikely, mostly they’re looking to check that you were actually here. Theoretically, they could be reviewing for tax compliance, but it’s unlikely.
Hi do we need to give the proof of residence for all the addresses that we lived in Canada??
Thanks for the video! Two questions please....1) I reside in Ontario and don't have a Driver's License and nor do I have a Ontario Photo ID. Can I use my OHIP Card or PR Card instead?....and 2) I took CELPIP-General LS back in December 2019. Are the scores still valid for IRCC? CELPIP rep mentioned that scores are only valid for 2 years. You can easily get your Ontario Photo Card by visiting your local Service Ontario office.

Hello, miss. I just received our schedule for oath-taking. However, my eldest daughter's name, her middle name was included in her paper but not in my 2nd daughter. Will this have any effect on delaying our oath-taking scheduled next month? thank you.
It shouldn't but you might want to email the citizenship office directly to advise that her name is missing.

Even if we did the online application, do we really need to fill out the printed citizenship form and the checklist scan and attach in the optional documents?!
Hi, i have taken my pr photos on april 2022. We will send our spousal application maybe this month or next month. Is it possible that our application will be return if the immigration received it on October onwards?
The cut-off date is the date of application, not the date that they review the file, so you should be fine.

I have a quick question regarding PCC for online citizenship application -
I moved to Canada in sep 2019 on PR from India. Havent been back to India or visited any other country since. I believe the old PCC I used for PR application wont be required.
As far as I understand I may not need a new PCC because I was in my country of origin immediately prior to landing in Canada.
Also the PCC is not for the time spent in Canada. Is my understanding right?

This is correct, however, sometimes we see IRCC request this even though it's not needs as per the law. You may want to consider including it.

Can I apply my citizenship application with expired pr card
In the online application you CAN use your expired PR card under "identification". It's written right there. Jade Calver however says at 1:17 either "now" or "not" ... difficult to discern her pronunciation on this point.
Please help me I need to change my date of birth as I had mistake on my passport from back home once I came Canada, I tried to change my Canadian documents but couldn't. I successfully change my passport of my home country, but tried to change in my PR no one helped , I send emails to IRCC but nothing happen now I have been trying for 5 years but nothing helped. I am applying to for citizenship and don't want to have my citizen with wrong date of birth what should I do.

I made a mistake in my citizenship online application how do I correct it?
It depends on the severity of the mistake. If it’s something minor that wouldn’t affect eligibility, I would send a webform. If the error was a major issue that would affect eligibility, I would consider withdrawing.
I think mine is minor because instead of stating my other country of citizenship I stated the expiry date which is on my passport and date when I got it.yet it's my country of birth and it has no expiry date so let me wait for them to send me Aor so that I can send them a web form correcting the mistake
