Hi Ana I became Canadian citizen Mar 2022 ;-) I got my passport after 6 months it was really big relief and achievement I am very proud like you, yes it is having Canadian passport can travel at least 179 countries without visa ;-) also the high and reputation are there to the Canadian passport holder Hava great weekend 😀
Congratulations, as 20 years old who was born here and lived here my whole life , I didn’t understand the excitement of my parents when they got naturalized. I was young child. But it is quite beautiful seeing immigrants loving and being grateful for everything this country have to offer. This is another remained for us (natives) to acknowledge the privilege of being citizens. This country was made by honest love of belonging. Congratulations again 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Do you know who are Native Americans? It’s the people that were living in North America before the Europeans arrived. You are a Citizen of Canada being born here not a Native.
The excitement is not as much about the ceremony, it’s about the difficulties we pass through as immigrants, we left everything behind to start fresh at a new place, leaving family, friends, learning everything from scratch, at times even losing loved ones, obtaining new moments, starting a family or many other things, it’s about all we have to pass through and finally feeling fully welcomed, that’s what the ceremony means to us…
Congratulations! I've just applied for Canadian Citizenship a month ago and grateful for sharing experience. It took me 6.5 years to apply for Citizenship starting from the day I started my Ms. Program in Canadian University and finishing with my application submission, I'm expecting to get my Canadian passport in a 1+ year so our timelines look very similar :)
From the future: It actually took me only 6 months! What I learned after working with Canadian government structures is that to move your application fast you need that officer has no questions to your application, always write explanation letters if something in your application doesn't look perfect from first glance!

Congratulations for you! Same here, my journey started 4 years ago when my girlfriend (today wife) and I were chatting about how we could move to Canada. Now we are packing our stuff and landing there next week! Hopefully we’ll be getting our passport soon too.

I submitted my application last September 15, 2023 and receieved an invitation letter for Citizenship test October 13 and i passed. October 25 i received an email for Oath Ceremony by Nov. 2.. i couldn’t believe my application was that fast just in 1 month and half i am become Canadian Citizen just like that..

Mazel Tov. I am Canadian born and a naturalized US citizen. I btw applied for a Canadian Passport again after not having one since late 1980s. I did it all by courier from the US in 2021. During the global pandemic, you could not go over to Canada without going through red tape and all the passport offices were closed. Finally the timing couldn't been more right as we all know the travel mess in 2022. It took me four months from start to finish to get my passport because the photos sent in were incorrect.
I became a Canadian citizen on Feb 6 you can't believe how proud I am on becoming a Canadian citizen I have many responsibilities to handle as a Canadian citizen and will also be applying for the passport aswell!

Congratulation I received my certificate 5 years ago
Congratulations🎉 And my journey has just begun. I came to canada on february, so I probably ( and hopefully) will get my passport around 6 six years later... I'm 21, so as soon as I get my passport, I'll start traveling. I don't want to waste my twenties. And you should visit my country, Turkey. I'm sure you'll be mesmerized by the nature there.

I applied my Canadian citizenship on April 29 2023 took my first exam on August 5 2023 but I failed the exam and I’m taking my second exam in a few hours 😢 wish me luck

I had to do my citizenship ceremony via online also, I would have preferred in person but back in 2022 they did not say how long it would take to reschedule so I didn’t wanna risk it.
It was hard to cut my PR card not gonna lie 😅 and I didn’t like I had to wait months for my certificate to finally be delivered to me.
But after I finally got my certificate, and could apply for a Canadian passport, it was not just a super happy moment for me but a huge relief. Cause I am from Lebanon originally, and is one of the worst passports in the world.
I was that happy to be Canadian citizen 😁❤️🇨🇦 again congrats :)

Congratulations now you're officially canadian i always wanted to move to canada to study i watch your video about why Americans are considering to move to canada i'm one of those people who wants to move to canada to study at any Canadian universities like u of t or ubc i'm from puerto rico and puerto rico is not good at all its getting worst many professionals are fleeing to the us and the people too i'm not very happy about what's happening in puerto rico i want to move to canada it's beautiful and wonderful country to live and I'd prefer to have the dual citizenship for me between us and canada
