BIONICLE: Endgame | (Mata Nui vs Makuta) ANIMATIC

- This Animatic is based on Legos' BIONICLE Franchise 2000-2010 and this is my take on how I imagined the final battle would have played out. It originally started just as a battle between Mata Nuis and Makutas Spirits but as I came back to finish this project in February, I got inspired by "FarManGone Productions" Fan Edit of the Mata Nui Saga as well as all the other edits and the original Illustrated blog by "LEGO BIONICLE" and last but not least the original Bionicle Glatorian Comics: Issue 06 and 07. Thus, I decided to add a Story Intro and Outro to the main fight, which Included the their Titanic Robot Bodies.
Alhamdullilah, finally got around to completing this short storyboard passion project after starting this storyboard project back in September 2022 and working on it only for about a month. Now this year February decided to finish what I started and couldn't be happier from the result. Only better and more stuff to come soon, InshAllah. Enjoy!!!

This video makes me wish that we had a movie about the 2010 storyline imaging hearing the voices of Michael Dorn and Lee Tockar as Mata Nui and Makuta.
Thanks for making this. I get that the GSR battle made more sense story wise, but Mata Nui and Makuta having a proper 1v1 hits so much harder 😅

I actually met up with Michael Dorn this weekend and only today after returning did I discover this video.
I really really really wish I found this video last week.
This is way better than the legend reborn, I wish there was more emotion and dialogue between mata nui and Makuta as I fell they don’t know each other that well.
Story wise , not just the animation
I can hear Teridax mocking Mata Nui for Click's assistance and his attempts to fight the Makuta as spirits.
Teridax: Heh.... Heh heh heh.... HAHAHAHAHA! I must say, dear brother, you certainly know how to make this an amusing show! Look at you! Playing as a Toa and even getting help from a speck of dust called an insect. But let's not forget the facts now! You are now just a pathetic little exile...struggling in vain to conquer a GOD. So tell me, Mata Nui.... WHAT GOOD IS YOUR UNITY NOW!?
Mata Nui: The unity that comes from trust, friendship, comradery, and family is something that you would never understand, Teridax. We are not gods, despite all our power. You're a prisoner of your twisted delusions...and I am thankfully just a person trying to do what's right...and to make up for my greatest mistake. You know, something your animatic reminds me of is the fact that Makuta’s ultimate defeat can be directly attributed to one of the many lessons that Mata Nui was taught by Ackar in the 2009 storyline - more specifically, on the importance of being aware of the environment around you during combat. Mata Nui directly applied this lesson during the final battle by methodically nudging Makuta towards the oncoming moons of Bara Magna, leading to the latter’s final destruction

This os what I wanted since I saw bionicle the mask of light and bionicle the legends is retorno to see mata nui vs makuta I appreciate it very much I would have only liked to see Makuta's from the First movie
Such an amazing fight I always wanted between Makuta and mata nui
To be honest, I hated that the story changed to have Makuta being a brotherhood rather than Mata nui's actual brother. I had always thought that they were the same entity at first. Left side of the brain vs the right side. Life vs death.
One cannot exist without the other.
That was the reason why Makuta put Mata Nui to sleep rather than killing him.
In the final battle in the spirit world, the original 7 toa would be fighting alongside Mata Nui when they find out the truth. Hesitanting when they find out that killing Makuta would also kill Mata Nui. Mata Nui makes that choice for them. He forgives Makuta and accepts the consequences of his other half. Mata nui merges with Makuta to become whole. With his final act he restores Spherus Magna and fades away along with the mask of life.

The mask of time stopped the time of the universe at the very moment he finished speaking.
The only thing that could move freely in the stopped time was Makuta, the master of the shadow.
"1 second has passed, 2 seconds has passed, 3 seconds has passed..."
Makuta somehow flew somewhere and hid himself in the shadows as he stopped time and smiled insidiously and vilely.
"4 seconds has passed!"
But mata nui stopped thinking.
But Mata Nui stopped thinking. No matter what scheme Makuta was plotting, no matter how he attack Mata Nui, who could move for two seconds in the time that Makuta had stopped, he would just strike with the power of the Mask of Life that he had acquired for the two seconds.
"5 seconds has passed!"
'All I can think of for sure is makuta! Maybe the next time I see your face, I'll be mad with anger and betrayal!'
