dude kev, I was a welder too. I built off shore oil rigs for over ten yrs. about two yrs ago I went almost completely paralyzed then found out I had a rare cancer.. all of that while I was going thru a divorce lol. Sounds lk a joke but it's not. I started following this channel because of the Rc's but I recognize you hold info I could use, you remind me of myself alot actually.. I'm 36, from the states and walking again. Also I beat the cancer.. Really appreciate this video man. thanks kev ✌🏻

    Hello Kevin,
I tried welding 15 year's ago a six month Intensive Training Course...i got a C&G Certification in 3 classes ARK,MIG & TIG...I also did some Brazing training too.
Long and short of it...I finished the course and all I ended up with was a sheet of fancy paper and a Bad back that took year's to sort out.
listening to your story took me back to when I had to go out to start work with a couple of Cowboy outfit's.
The first was in a place called St Margaret's close to Dublin Airport.
This was a hovell in an old cow shed with a Porta Cabin as an office come break area...I lasted barely a month there before I caught some kind skin infection from the filthy work enviroment and lousy hygine facillity's...Oh and I also got Retina burn into the bargain...put me right off.
Well needless to say...I have not wanted to look at a welding torch since.

Kev, I'm very impressed with your video. I've had some enjoyable jobs but bad bosses and bad experiences in the employment sector. Each employer has in the end attempted to sabotage my employment records due to their scandalous work ethics and illegal conduct of which I've continually found and confronted them with, until I was diagnosed with an incurable chemical imbalance of the brain making me a danger to myself and others in a work environment and put on disability. My life has become a painful depressive pain controlled dictatorship forcing me into a fixed government income of ESA and PIP. in a nutshell I'm absolutely gutted 😢. But I've been watching your videos and not only found them enjoyable and entertaining, but make me feel like there's possibly light at the end of the tunnel. I'm considering attempting your course so I can also invest in some hobby rc cars of my own as I'm an old school tamia grasshopper owner and totally love rc cars full stop but can't afford the hobby on my present fixed income I'm hoping your program will be something I can begin very soon. So keep doing what you're doing I'm loving it well done kev.

I kind of relate to your earlier life Kev, I am currently somewhat stuck in a job, that definitely isn't paying enough, last year made just over 3k due to the virus nonsense and them barely having work, living in a very rural place their isn't many job opportunities, can't afford to relocate, sold up most of my RCs with just a single crawler left, ended up having to get a big loan last year to tide me over.

I had a nose bleed for 2hrs when working with chemicals. Lost about 1ltr. They sent me home then removed me from the attendance register! I also trapped my hand in a tyre machine. Horrendous company. Manufacturing moved abroad.

Great video I'm young and have a job , this video gives me a inside on what to do and what not to do. What I should allow the employer to make me do and what I shouldn't do

I remember drilling holes for 12 hours a day and I agree it sucks. You have to do what you like in life or they'll use you up and spit you out.

Kevin I'm feeling the same. I'm working 65-72 hours a week as lorry driver making shitty £9.40 an hour... I'm just scared to move on... I know I'm gonna get my money here even knowing it's not much... I'm scared of the big world...

I love to hear the story and hopefully someday I can be as successful. Ive had some good success starting out on eBay with good feedback. I’ve got a really good paying full time job now 6 figures paying in Canada it’s industry oil skilled trades work but I don’t love it it can be hard work and your body will pay over the years. It’s also long hours and early mornings late evenings. The time off is well balanced though. Great video 👍🍻👋☃️🇨🇦
