Growing up watching MJ played it was a blessing, I’ve never seen anything liked it. Even till this day I still haven’t seen another player that has the skills and the will to win like Mike. Kobe was the closest. Mike was just different he’s on a league of its own. He is the standard and THE GOAT.

So let me get an understanding so no one in today’s NBA average 40 but
Jordan will. Oh I know y no one average 40 it’s because as a team you WON’T win as a team a Championship 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ ask James Harden any player can average what they want if you’re the #1 option you get the shots Jordan job was to score each player get a certain amount of shots come on guys

Same here. I wish this generation would have experienced watching Jordan play in real-time. That is the only way you could have a real assessment of who is the best. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch prime years of Kareem to be able to say if he was the greatest.

@@dreamkloud8945Two answer your question, watch a Jordan game. There are no wasted movements. You won’t find a highlight of Jordan dribbling the ball more than 4 or 5 times. His attacks were quick and decisive. Harden and Lebron will dribble the clock down throughout the entire game. Not end of quarters when that should be the only time that should ever happen. What I’m getting at, no wasted time, energy, etc. MJ was extremely efficient. And in todays game that is faster and has many more possession and add a few more 3 point shots a game (that count for an extra point per make)… he could very well average 40 in todays game. Not every year but in his prime youth days, on a not so good team where he’s doing everything… for sure Jordan could average 40+.

I'm sitting here in tears remembering how great this guy was and realizing that there is a player today trying to buy MJ's position. What an amazing blessing it was to have WGN on the cable package here in New Orleans. You would think I'm stupid for being grateful not to have been an NBA city at that time because I got ALL the games! And I watched ALL the games. Everyone knew where I was at 7pm. I wasn't with my boys. I wasn't trying to get a stink finger. I was watching that iconic game intro. Everyone knew I'd see them at 9:30pm. I love Bron. He's a good player, but MJ is GOD disguised as Jordan. The shame of all this disrespect is it's going to take him passing away before everyone finally stop this bullshıt and acknowledge the truth. Give this Man his flowers now!
    And for the record...
    45pts
    8ast
    8reb
    4stl
    2blk
    55%fgs
    40%3pt
    87%ft ⚜

Simple! He already had the pull up dribble mastered, he could post up & drive to the rim & like a few stated in the video, Jordan could shoot 3s. He didn't hunt 3s but if he wanted to be better & dominate the long range game he could've easily. Using his elite defense to create points would've been a thing for Michael too. So 40pts a game would've been easy, 50 if Jordan really went for it💯🏀

MJ could have 40-45ppg if he wanted to when he was playing. Remember he would go to the bench in the 3rd or 4th quarter when they had a big lead. In todays game he would double or triple he's free throws easily. Maybe he would shoot more 3's. Young MJ forget it. Young MJ would be dunking all day. There are no Dikembe, Shaq, Yao, Ewing, Robinson, Alonzo... no dominant centers. Remember he would also dunk on them to.

He came back from a broken foot to average 37.1 ppg. He came back from an almost two year hiatus to threepeat. The physicality of the 80s and 90s were like a WWE/NFL hybrid, and those players were putting in 45 minutes, unlike the contemporary lollipop players we see today who put in 30 minutes per game. I REALLY miss those days (not the head hunters of Piston lore, but the tough, hard, in-your-face defense).

People dont realized that when MJ was averaging 30 points in a season, the next player was averaging 25 points in a very competitive and defense oriented NBA. Now that the defense is zero and the competition has declined drastically. No one wants to stretch themselves no more except when Giannis did it in 2021. Instead of stretching yourself and talent, they will team up with the next talent to win cheap rings and boast about it. Brag all day

Jordan Magic Bird are all great because they went through the most physical era of basketball. The players today are great ball handlers and great shooters. But you can teach a person to improve those skills. You can't teach the mental toughness that those players exhibited. The current league has to FIND that mentality.

Jordan in his era is : Defence ; Kawhi prime. Mid range ; Kevin Durant. Layup; Kyrie irving. Speed: Derrick rose. Hang time; Ja Morant. Mentality; Kobe. Free throw; Elite. He had no weakness.Elite passer. When he had to make a 3 in the clutch he did. Not saying he was perfect but hes the closest thing to perfect in Basketball. He had multiple season his 3 pt % was over 40. No doubt becuase of his mentality he would been an elite 3 pt shooter in this Era. Back in the 90s and 80s teams shot 9 threes per game today era us over 35 per game and some teams shoot 40 +. Huge difference.

I calculated, Jordan would avg 45pt...
Keeping all his personal shooting %s the same, and % of team shots HE took the same, but:
-increase pace of play, +18 more team shots
    -increase 3PA, +19 more attempts
-increase FT calls today +12 per team

There is minimal defense/challenge at the rim, at east during regular season. They just stand still and watch, maube weakly raose an arm. Show me Lebron dunking over a challenge at the goal since 2012 or so.

  • @kyul9357
    @kyul9357 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

It’s harder to play defense today because you can’t swipe at the ball, put your hands on your man, guard the lanes with your arms sticking out, check the hands, etc etc etc.
Jordan wouldn’t be the same defender today. Nobody can. The game today exhausts defense and whoever has more energy to score wins.

Sone NBA players don’t realize that they are speaking from a fan’s perspective. Didn’t they see when Grant Hill came into the league and was killin Scottie and MJ, didn’t they see MJ couldn’t handle the hi low DC cross -and the league told him to quit it? MJ was guarded by Kerry Kittle (150 lbs), Dan Marley, Hawkins, Starks, and a handful of other players that were too small, too short, too slow. If MJ don’t have Phill, he wins no chips.

MJ would destroy the league with it’s rules now. But that’s not the problem he would face in today’s society. MJ would always be in defensive mode because with 24 hour news cycles and social media. His hyper sensitivity to what everyone says would be 10 times worse now than when he played, every time he goes into a casino would be on video, every side chick would be exposed. The sports media talking heads are way more vicious now than when he played, I am pretty sure that he would not even talk to the media if he played today. MJ would always seem miserable if he played in today’s NBA.

If he average 40 so can all the other players in todays game I can say Lebron if he wants to could average 40 he averaged 24 pts since a freshman in high school I stop being a Jordan is the greatest in 2006 when I realized the Utah jazz isn’t a worthy opponent compared to warriors and spurs and big 3 Celtics to win a ring against Jordan had 6 allstars before Jordan or when he lefted the bulls temporary compared to 2 per team in the bulls finals or maybe 3 I give u that

This is a dumb video. These people are stating that Jordan is some sort of great shooter. The league, at this time, probably has the best shooter EVER in Steph Curry. Steph ain't averaging 50. Why would Jordan score more? Is the argument the foul shooting? Steph shoots 10% higher than Jordan does from the FT line. Jordan probably had one of the top 5 best midrange games of any player. That is what made him a great player. What people see are dunk highlights. Because the VAST majority of his points came from midrange, what would change? Another player who is in the top 5 best midrange games is Wade. Wade played with these rules. Wade ain't averaging 40 or 50.
People fail to understand MATH. For Jordan to get fifty points in one game, what does it take? It means he is at MIMIMUM taking 17 shots - if they are all 3s, 25 if they are all 2s. Most NBA games, in this era are in the 72 to 80 shots per game. Now, is he hitting 50% from the field? If that is all 2s, then he is putting up 50 of those shots! If he hits 40% from the 3, he is putting up 26 shots. So let's assume he mixes it up, he puts up 40 shots per game. Jordan ain't putting up more than 1/2 of the shots per game. The rest of the team would get pissed off just watching him. THe defense would adjust quickly and he'd see 2 or 3 against 1.
People also forget that Jordan tried this already. He tried and realized that ball hogging was not going to get him a championship. Look at the Boston playoffs game. Congrats, he scored a LOT. The team lost.
