  • I was promoted to blue belt and we are required to get our own belts. I had hoped to get a Blue Koral but were sold out everywhere.
    The standard Cotton CTRL industries belts were sold out so I tried the Deluxe 350 gsm pearl weave Gi material version.
    I also got a great deal on a lightly Used Eosin Panther Deluxe soft belt.
    UPDATE: I wore the Eosin Panther tonight and stated tight very well. It really feels like quality. Looks amazing. I really like it. too bad it didnt help my crappy jiu jitsu skills ;)
    The Ctrl is a very dark royal and the material in maybe just not what im used to. It stays tied well, but did loosen ever so slightly but overall did well. It may grow on me.. I def prefer the traditional smooth cotton belts to the pearl weave at this point.
    Koral is a great belt and I hope to get a blue one when back in stock. I really like the color, design of the logo and the lightweight ness. and the price is good.
    Other belts i looked at were:
    Atama
    Fuji ( not wild about the light baby blue)
    Flow Hemp ( out of stock)
    Scramble

    I’m from the UK and I bought a Deluxe Eosin Panther blue belt. Including shipping and tax it cost about £70 ($90).
    The quality of the belt is phenomenal and immediately apparent once you actually have it in your hand compared to other belt brands. But you would kind of expect that for the price.
    The belt colour is a nice deep royal blue, but this will fade very fast if you wash it regularly (like you should) and it will look similar to the one in the video in a few months of use. I would of preferred a slightly darker blue, however I think the faded look on a belt which is so well put together is a pretty nice look.
    Overall, I would definitely recommend the Eosin Panther belt to anyone who wants a super high quality belt and doesn’t mind spending the money. Would be nice if Eosin Panther establishes a European store.

    will be interesting to see how much the CTRL shrinks. Doesn't mention pre-shrunk or shrinkage
    on the site. Well done on the promotion.

    Congrats on the blue!
    I had the same koral for my white and blue. I’ve tried other brands but ended up preferring the thicker wider belts since I was given a Drako for my purple, and now my brown as well! They’re stiff and may not tie as tight but I really like the look better with the big knot lol

      Hey tks for the awesome comment! I haven't heard of Drako, but I checked them out. It looks as though they are well built and affordable. Maybe you should do a review. :) If I make it to purple it will be a near miracle, but If you tube is still here in 5 years, I'll make a video of which one I get ;) I wouldnt mind trying out a Hemp belt. but for now Im waiting on the Koral. I am not sure what to think of the Pearl weave cotton belts. Have you tried one?

      Kid Wilson33 I have not, but it’s it’s that flimsy I probably wouldn’t like it haha! And maybe I’ll have to get in on doing reviews as well, keep it up dude!

    Try the old version "Scramble" brand version 1 belts they have embroidery on & are very stiff & sturdy. I had for blue belt & brown belt never faded & never flops.

      Where can you get em? I had a v2 for my white belt, and loved how it wore down. Picked up a v3 for blue, and really dislike the changes. Have not been able to find old versions anywhere.

    Hey bro, congrats on the promotion! So this is a strange request ha, but I had an Eosin Panther blue belt that was stolen out of my truck this past summer. Any chance you’d want to sell the one you got if it’s not your favorite?

      I like the Eosin too much to sell atm. If I decide to sell, I will let you know. Cheers

    Hey man, great video. I'm the guy who sold you that Eosin. They make great belts. I was in a similar situation where I was promoted but they didnt have a belt for me. I went a little crazy and after three years at blue belt was up to 10 different belts. That's when I started posting them on ebay.

      The Eosin is a great belt. Tks for such a good deal on it. Im still on the hunt for a Koral belt, but The CTRL and Eosin are both getting lots of compliments so far.

      Is the belt firmness standard or soft? Getting one soon and the one here looks very nice.

    • @MrPopeye722
      @MrPopeye722 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is the soft model. It is still more firm than most off the shelf belts. Eosin also offers a "soft finish" option that is in addition to their soft/normal firmness and about 25% thinner and breaks in quicker.

      Don't buy the belt it is terrible in color. My so called purple belt looks blue.

    Hey mate, would you consider the Koral belt “cheap” quality because it’s so pliable ?

      @kidwilson3357  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Koral Belt is my fav belt. It has held up fine. No problems at all with durability. Cheers!

    Eosin gave me the wrong color belt during the IBJJF Atlanta tournament. I purchased a purple belt and they gave me a blue belt. I recently, was promoted to purple this year and I noticed it was a different color. :-(

      @kidwilson3357  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bet if you write to Eosin and tell them nicely what happened, they might let you send yours in and send you one in exchange. It wouldn't hurt to write a very nice letter. Tell them how much you lilke their company and love the belt, but just got the wrong colour. They are super sweet belts. Tks for the comment! Congrats on your promotion to purple!

      They gave me the run around. Terrible company. It was terrible talking to the woman about the color of the belt. I am going to buy a Kataaro belt. @@kidwilson3357

      The belt I received has the wrong thread color of blue and it makes the belt seem like a blue belt some times. My wife's has a purple belt with a purple thread.
