I'm am so thankful for this video! I purchased the pattern and ruler last year and was confused by the instructions. Can't wait to make one for this year! Thanks again !!
The outcome was very cute. I am rather new to piecing and quitting…I couldn’t follow what exactly happening. Measurements etc. It turned out really nice. I wish I could make it.
I love your method of stacking (lining up) the segments right off the bat, before sewing them together (A4, B4, A3, B3, et el). Great idea (then there's no mix-up in the process of sewing)!
I have my trees made and the sashing is cut but somewhere about 3:24 you lost me. Are you trimming the peices from the background trees or the background strip peices and what dimensions are these trimmed to. Did I miss this in the pattern?
My first attempts are off. It wasn’t clear in the pattern to trim before joining sections. And that’s probably why I had problems joining the pieces. Glad I found the video to help with my next batch. I have a couple of questions - in the video, piece A4 is shown being cut to a smaller size but the pattern doesn’t show that. And in the video piece A1 isn’t shown being cut. I can’t seem to get A1 the correct size. Help!
Hi Laurie, I discovered "pre-trimming" well after I wrote the pattern which is why it isn't included. As far as A4 being smaller, it just looks that way in the video, I assure you it is the same exact size as the others. I don't show the A1 piece being trimmed to size because it shows it in the pattern. The bottom edge is simply trimmed to fit with the section below it.
Thanks for doing this! I too purchased the pattern a long time ago - was going to take the class - but they wanted me to buy the 10 inch square ruler and I just figured with the total price for all - it would bake to pricey for me ! and now I see I don't really need that ruler - but I did purchase the other ruler which I am happy about as I know I will use it. Thanks again for this - I really appreciate it!!
Thank you for demonstrating your way of making these cute trees!! I love the fabrics you chose!! Yours truly are crazy Christmas trees!! Adorable! ♥️🎄💚
The design doesn’t give step by step measures of the piece you’re working….now I see why. Lol, you trim as you go. The instructions are a bit short on description but the video is a great help. Thank you
Hello, I like the "crazy christmas tree" so much. Is there a way to purchase the pattern via e-mail - shipping to Austria costs a lot. The work steps are clear to me from the video - only the cutting of the tree, the distances, I don't understand exactly. I already have the ruler. Many thanks for your help
Can’t figure out to trim the A 1 piece so it looks like the pattern. Could trim to 1 3/4” across but that just doesnt look like the picture. Has anyone figured this out?
Thank you. Everytime I tried to take a class, it was either cancelled, I work during the day or COVID 19!!! I am very grateful for this tutorial and I hope I am able to finally make it this year!
What can I do with the tree triangles that are not used.?
Clear as mud. Will not do this.

You missed a step.....second from the top piece.

Thank you! I'm in the beginning stages of cutting the fabric and seeing the whole process is extremely helpful!

Love the fabric! (and the music!) Can you tell us what the name of the fabric is? Especially that black n white background fabric. Thank you!!
So whimsical and fun! Thank you for this video! Really helps amplify the pattern- easy to follow along. ❤
Bom dia 💐
Seria bom q tivesse tradução em Português
Sem isso, fica muito difícil.
Obriga e parabéns pela linda idéia.

That is so creative. But I am a beginner so I’ll save this for later.
I LOVE these wonky trees! Maybe next year's Christmas quilt? Karla - you go girl!
If I want to make my table runner longer using 5 trees - do I need one extra tree color and one extra background color?
Love these trees !
