I bought your pattern several years ago, after seeing the finished quilt at someone's home. I made my trees random sizes from large to small and then fit them together like a puzzle. I made placemats and a small wallhanging. I get so many compliments on them! This video is a great way to explain the process. Now I want to make a quilt with all the trees! Thank you!

Really cute, and a great stash buster to boot. I haven't tried making trees yet, but this one *looks* the easiest of all the tutorials I've watched. Being able to make them in any size you want/need is definitely a plus. Thanks for posting! EDIT - I just made a practice pair using some scrap fabric. These are really quick, easy, and fun to make - although next time, I'll make the "body" of the trees a little bigger, as there's a lot of background above them. I started with 6-1/2" squares & they finished up at a scant 5-1/2".

Had a great time doing a wall hanging quilt with this block and love the results! This is easy and creates a beautiful holiday quilt, even for someone like me who just started quilting and hasn't even been sewing for very long. And a smaller wall hanging version on a wooden branch or drift wood makes a beautiful, original holiday gift!

Fell in love with the Patchwork Forest quilt the minute I saw it and bought the pattern from your site, but this video helped so much, too. I've just made a bunch of these blocks to sew together for a table runner, but if I ever do a full size quilt, it's likely to be a Patchwork Forest style. Your video made this so easy to do, especially the fact that you make it so easy and fun. Thanks a million!

thank you for making this video! I live in the middle of the forest in the pacific NW and I'm going to make an evergreen tree quilt to use year round! My fabric will arrive sometime this week and I'm very excited to get started! I really appreciate your video because I was going to try and wing it to make trees, but I see how there is almost no wasted fabric when you stack up the fabrics and cut them all at once! So neat!
