stop hiring clueless security who make up laws
Security is subcontracted out to the cheapest bidder. The lads are constantly being TUPE'd from one security company to the next, each time the working terms get worse and worse as the contract price is cut further and further.
For a long time you could get your SIA licence if you were on jobseekers allowance. I don't begrudge it helping someone into work but there's an oversupply of SIA badge holders so they can pay peanuts for crap shifts and there's plenty of people who will take it.

DJE - You said you went but no-one gave you permission. You really did have permission - Permission given by the Human Rights Act and, for the drone, also permission from the Civil Aviation Authority. These guys are clueless that PINAC!
The aviation regulations only address the flight safety aspects of the flight and they do not constitute permission.

People that work here clearly find any excuse to stand around and create a bigger issue than necessary just so they don't have to return back in to work. I know people like this and then their reasoning for not returning is something like "there was an issue at the gate I had to deal with" etc. Just leave auditors alone to get on with their LEGAL activity.

i would say the request to trespass you from the pedestrian path onto the road was unreasonable since the path was publicly accessible and forcing you onto a road could put you in danger. Furthermore the request was based on the fact they didnt like you filming which is discrimination under the human rights act.

That gate is as effective at high security as a chocolate fireguard is at protecting people from being burned. Used to do planned maintenance at a few power stations in the uk and they gave us temp id cards but you also went through a turnstyle type gate which only let one person at a time through that was higher security and around 30 years ago.
They just need to have you trespass from their property .

Whilst instigating confrontation may be advantageous to you permission, a more honest answer to the "who gave permission" question is "the CAA".
Some people will 'Power Dress' to try obtain a position above that which they are employed, people assume they are more senior than they are , and treat them with defference . It's the same with some people who buy cars above their employment station, they are sometimes genuine car enthusiasts , but often its a personality prop.
