I am so glad that the S6 lite is even compared to the more expensive iPad. It honestly speaks mega value for me with the Samsung product. I just ordered the new Samsung S6 lite for $309 CAD which I feel like is an amazing deal that simply cant be beat at the moment.
I have a 2020 Tab S6. I use it every day for school notes, study and research. It's light, fast, reliable and I love working with it. Doesn't take up a bunch of space on my desk and is easy to fit into my messenger bag.

I really wish Samsung would move away from 16 : 9 screens. It's great for movies but for reading, typing (landscape), drawing and note-taking a slightly wider screen is preferable.
samsung actually did have 4:3 ration screens (take a look at s3 etc) but apple was anal about that, that start legal dispute about whole thing, which imo samsung shouldn't budge. how can you "patent" a ratio, ff sake?? but apple does what aplle does.. i guess samsung just didn't want hassle anymore and went with 16:9 screens, since majority of people use them for watching content, in the end, let be honest there..
@@izoyt - I guess the real reason is Samsung tablets are still using Android OS that is still made for Smartphones, unlike IPad which has their own dedicated IPad IOS. Since most Android phones tend to have more Longer proportion, making the Samsung Tablets closer to it in proportion would lessen any problems with operations. With Google now beginning to release their own Android tablets, there’s big possibility they would be making a dedicated Android Tablet OS.

Games are better on a wider screen. I also agree it could be an android thing, but phones these days are wider aspect ratio than 16:9 I think thy are 21:10 or something crazy like that. Samsung tabs are usually 16:10 I think Someone at Samsung made a call on their research and said, that’s the aspect ratio that sells and it’s also a way to differentiate from apple and be more consumption friendly.
thank you for the review. The Ipad is a nice tablet, but Apple price politics is a no go. charging $99 for the pen, then $45 for the adapter. This is simple not worth the money. I stay with my tab s6 lite, does everything i need.

This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it

In my counyry, the S6 lite, with 126gb is 300€ with SD card port and the iPad10 is 400€ ,64gb without the SD port. Those are quitr different tablets. Not to mention, iPad doesn't come with the pen. So... At the price of the iPad +150€ you cand buy a samsung tab s7 or s8 with more feauter and clearly more space.

If you want more performance, ipad wins. That's the key. Pro work tends to use many resource or layers on certain high resolution, it may be laggy in s6 lite after how many layers but I think it'd be better in ipad
@@abanana2859 Android is really garbage managing resource. My S21 is using more than 4GB of RAM with just common apps like TH-cam and WhatsApp on background. My wife iPad mini 6 never have hiccups with just 4GB
Dear, getting s6lite 2022 around 245$ for 64gb varient, and 280$ approx for 128gb, is it a good deal, purpose is only notes taking majorly, also ipad 9th gen is around 310$ without pencil, what do you suggest. Only thing concerning me is Samsung's display and processor. Can 720g handle daily tasks, and specially notes taking with 2 3 tabs open ?
I hate that the drawing experience seems overall better on the limited and overpriced apple ecosystem. I've made the switch permanently back to android after owning several ipads over the years and i find myself missing the aspect ratio and tapered apple pencil tip But at the same time, wacom pen tech is more aftermarket customizable, i get much better direct control over files on android and infinite painter has started to become a true and direct competitor to procreate, making android more viable If samsung would release a tablet aimed specifically at artists, i think it would be a hit. Give us a 9 or 10 inch device with a 3:2 aspect ratio, decent mid range processor, textured matte screen, a thick pen with a hard nib instead of a rubber one and, this is optional, DEX usage over usb c/hdmi for connecting to larger pen displays. Call it the galaxy Easel or Galaxy Canvas or something Even just a 3:2 aspect ratio with a bigger pen would be a massive step in the right direction
I also prefer the iPad aspect ratio very much for drawing. The only Android tablet with a rather similar aspect ratio is the OnePlus Pad which has terrific hardware but the tablet OS is still quite limited at this time.

@@teohontech7141 i am using a 6th gen ipad for my note taking and research purpose the only downside to it is, 32 gb storage when it is full till 31 gb it starts to lag, while opening apps becomes painful, i dont want to spend a lot on a tablet because thats the only purpose i need it for especially good notes
I agree the Apple iPad pro 11 in with m1 chip furbished is probably the best value for dollar and for Android that have a 7 is still a great option just make sure to get the 256 GB storage because I'll come with 8 GB RAM You can get that refurbished or used for pretty decent price for around the price of that iPad like 450
I wish iPad would move away from 4:3 Aspect Ratio Screens. Its great for art and other optimized apps, but Its horrible for watching movies and all other content. The full size video ends up being so small with black bars, or zoomed to fill you cut out so much area on the sides its just not condusive. I feel like i need two different tablets for different things. And i dont like that. They should meet in the middle and come up with a 16:11 display since 4:3=16:12.

The aspect ratio thing is not that bad imo as you can use your fingers for moving through the Canvas very easily

If you want to multi-task, e.g. split screen, get a larger display. GoodNotes is better with iPad now because the Android version is still very new.

4:3 aspect ratio is one of the main selling points of the iPad. If you watch more shows, go with 16:9
