You said that if you kill nithlathak the portal to pindleskin will disappear, that is however not the case, the reason your portal to pindle disappears is because you pick up the waypoint for Halls of Pain.
Mistaken claim. I've killed Nihl many, many times and the portal continues to spawn in every new game. To prevent the portal from no longer appearing... don't ever talk to Anya after killing him. Oh, I also have the HoP waypoint.

15:16 Actually, you can kill Nihla as much as you want. The red portal disappears based on whether or not you grab the waypoint. Imagine killing Nihla without grabbing the waypoint, and the Portal closes, bummer :) In addition, Halls of pain/vaught each have a guaranteed golden chest. There are only 3 unique map layouts for each of the areas so they can be memorized. The way to Nihla is also shown by the "eye painting" on the wall. Great video, cool windy druid.
i remember running through a cow level in a game when it was finished and most the players were gone for some random socketed armor and there was an ist rune laying on the ground.This was before the game started coloring the drops for runes
If you don't WSK on p7, you don't D2..... also, you should clear the entire throne room, not just the waves, its all level 85.... as a matter of fact, the unique monsters in the throne room probably have better drop odds than the Baal waves. The waves drop like champion packs.
Nice content. I am back to playing d2 for the first time in at least 15 years. It's been so long, and I played d3 for a few years, so d2 is taking some getting used to. Like me second time i'm playing the game, the first time i was a child killed Diablo in normal with barbarian or crusader and it was the end of it xD never mess with the Cube etc... XD now the depth i can dive into is fucking insane xD btw i played D3 a few years to ... But i was bored and D2 is awesome
The Halls of Pain was and always will be my No#1 pick for anything. If you have good enough magic find and go through entire Halls of Pain level, there's a high chance you'll find anything you really need. It was also my no#1 place to level up, the huge size of that area and bunch of enemies add load of XP even when you're like lvl 90+
tower also pick up some white off racks too. I admit blood raven is nice to be from time to time. helps keep some players from feeling burned out exploring everything too much. cow level and poison nova necro is the key for long lasting game play. only shys away from the potential a javazon does for job. can not have the full out best for everything. made my luck feel good enough they had nova necro in diablo 3 to help rebirth such vague type dreams of just 'keeping' it around.
Lately I´m doing like 1 cow run at players 3 a day as a stress relief, I really enjoy it, because it´s easy to clear with my shitty char and one day i dropped 2x 3-socket dusk shrouds and day before that Ohm as my first high rune ever, :) Even though I dropped only few mid runes ever...
Sorry, beg to differ on the lower kurast comment. Lower Kurast is fantastic for getting mid runes and high runes. You get a fast character and you just open up all the chests and lootareas you can find (logs, corpses). Ive found more mid and high runes there than anywhere else in the game.
I picked up 2x zod runes in my 12 year long D2 career. One from pindleskin and the other from a fallen pack in cold plains in a pvp room. Never farmed religiously like many youtubers, I always traded to gain wealth. Bought low and sold high every time.

yeah. i tried on my lvl 87 but if you have the vanilla D2 save file you can go into hero editor and uncheck "Cow level completed". Then just import that save to a D2 R conversion website. Thats how i got my lvl 87 with all enigma hoto etc and hacked charms in hell mode
love the videos, been playing the early beta on ps4. Obviously limited to normal diff, acts 1/2. only have 20 mf, as had a horrid run with RNG on drops. Playing the sorc static field build from your other video. I did manage to get rarral helm; stealth body armour and ancient's pledge shield. Crappy weapon drops though. No uniques at all, but did get a berserker's helm set piece drop. Any advice on farming acts 1/2 from here with such limited MF? I presume for runes just farm the countess (which I have been doing), and for gear crypt/mausoleum and the pit. Andariel is a pita cos waypoint is on barracks lvl 2 and getting to barracks lvl 4 with a low level sorc with low mana with teleport is very expensive and inefficient with mana pots (perhaps 3 TP per mana pot). I don't know the maps, are they fixed or random in D2?
For act 1-2 only because of beta right? This is a great video idea I'll have to make before this weekend's open beta! Basically what I did this past weekend was get stealth from countess but skipped the ralral helm and pledge since that's only necessary for act 3+. My mf runs were: Cold Crow (guaranteed boss pack in cave by cold plains WP), Griswold (Tristram), Treehead Woodfist (Dark Wood), Andariel, Tombs, and occasionally Arcane Sanctuary for the ghosts and super chests at each path ending. As for maps, they are mostly random, but most maps have "tells". Unfortunately Catacombs doesn't have any tells, but lvl3 is often found to your character's right from the waypoint.

Also, wands for sorc with FCR - it's still limited to very low dmg range of 2-4 dmg for wands that drop from act 1/2 AFAIK. That compares very poorly to other weapons (non-wand) such as swords etc that do a lot more dmg. I stupidly held onto the rare wand that dropped for me at clvl 2 for the entirety of both acts, and didn't realise how low my dmg was until I cross-checked my dmg vs my mercs and realised hers was twice as much as me! I gambled for 1h swords and bingo, got a rare scimitar and dmg doubled. Game much easier. I'm quite liking the freez/nova/static sorc build. I've never played builds before in D2, or used rune worded gear and it really does make a difference to the game. I took down Duriel very easily, no deaths, under 30 seconds and I have NEVER done this before. Duriel has always been a bane and really difficult for me.
If I'm not mistaken, there's a level limit to it. If you exceed that level limit before you proceed to Act 5, monsters from previous act will spawn there (but much more powerful and annoying version of them).
You probably have to farm a lower level area such as nightmare bosses to increase the odds of that dropping. Normal Diablo or nightmare mephisto are the best chances I believe. I'd probably go with nm mephisto since you can get other good items at the same time.

I'm lvl 75 Blizz Sorc and that is just impossible to me XD i'm new in this farming part of diablo 2 and i am farming like 5 to 8 hours a day, cow, mephisto, andariel, pit, colisseum and 0 runes, good set or good uniques so far. My mf is rly low but i cant do much about it is the basic stuff dont drop =/
You can't kill cold immunes with cold skills. You will have to skip them entirely, use a different element such as fire or lightning, or let your merc kill them (can static them to 50% if not immune to lightning).
Yup gotta skip em that's one of my least favorite things about D2 is there are packs that can completely negate your character entirely, not just be difficult but literally negate your character

I literally can't tell you how many Andy and Meph runs I've done on NM and Hell over the past 20 years. Countless. In that span of time I've never - NEVER - found a SoJ. D2 is a lovable bitch. EDIT: I think it's worth mentioning that I never really cared about having a high MF. I guess that's where I went wrong. Nevertheless, I've still found awesome items, like Azurewrath and Herald of Zakarum.
Ive found about 3 sojs and oddly I found a windofrce from a normal monster down on the way to baal in worldstone keep level 2, but the two items ive never found were a grandfather and a tyraels might,ive found the sacred armor 4 times but it always came out as the templars might or whatever it was called the green version of it for pallys.The best rare boot ive found was called Demon Shanks, there stats were almost identical to Imp Shanks but better defense cause they were a higher level boot and I sold them for 30 hr's when the game was actually populated.Regarding your low MF thats completely moot.I made a single player character edited the items so one had really high mf and the other just had some mf the items had.your talking like 1000 mf compared to around 100 and the item drops over 1000 runs I did in a week with all the bosses and the high level mf places...the drops were about the same.If you were to look at the drops from both players you wouldnt know which one had high mf or low mf. I did this because I wanted to test if having high mf actually made a difference and ..well honestly not really. when I play d2 its better to have high damage output and take down the bosses and unique monsters quicker then be twice as slow and have high mf.Doing thisI find a lot of stuff.I think killing bosses and enemies quicker alone just increases your chance for items despite low mf cause my sorc is geared for damage not mf

Frigid highlands (for Shenk) is a Reference to the waypoint.
my new go to place is Halls of the dead levels 1 through 3. mainly due to finding Tal'rasha's armor off the boss guarding the Horadric Cube chest

I am confused. I have never had red portal to nithalak close. If I got so, if I killed nithalak, it is always been open for me.
Duriel's drop tables really are stingier than the other bosses. I call him, "Duriel, Lord of Drops that Suck".
It would be nice if they reduced his change to drop scrolls and potions in the 2.4 patch.

If I'm not mistaken, there's a level limit to it. If you exceed that level limit before you proceed to Act 5, monsters from previous act will spawn there (but much more powerful and annoying version of them).

You have to choose Sorcerer class character and put a point in Teleport skill
