As usual, those builds will do their job. But mainly Enigma again... Im REALLY tired of seeing you always using it. I know, that its useful for fast gaming. But i really dont get it, why you never show us any other stuff. I dont have an Enigma, i dont want it and also its very bad when you play with friends. Its always one player tele around and the other is waiting. The game could offer so much more and im sure you know that.
My build for MF is passive Bow Amazon upside has mid range MF on items and maxed out on resistance and can survive any area. Downside Need war traveler boots and Chains of Honour Armour. You don't need that much defense since you will have your max skill valkirie out all the time as tank and lurer of enemies
I prefer Cold/Fire hybrid (Frozen Orb, Fireball, Meteor, Static Field) than Blizzard sorc . She's slower but she's able to clear everything in Hell difficulty with decent merc.
@@LoudMiller trap lightning sins use corp explosion for inmunes. Thats it, I can clean any of the 85lv spots easily and OFC, without using enigma. The game turns so boring when u ultra rush everything...
if dollars doesn't matter - hammerdin is easily the best mfer simply because he can do EVERYTHING regardless of # of players + survival. Hence why Bots use Hammerdins for pub runs bc they are so consistent.
@@KrazyKrzysztof I know runewords are not magic find but infinity and enigma is almost impossible if you play single player. All of those builds required either of those. I think thats what he means when he says they're more expensive, and I agree with him. Its so frustrating coming to vid for help then every build req enigma or infinity. DO you think people who have those runewords need help with magic find tips??
@@19htown I also found 4 high runes (1x Lo, 2x Sur, 1x Ber) in a few hundred lower kurast runs on singleplayer PlugY. I didnt keep count so it could have been more runs but thats is just how rng works sometimes.
Couldn’t agree more with Blizzy Sorc being number 1. I would always bump it up to players 7-8 and have no problems at all running the Ancient Tunnels over and over again. Sadly I never have quite gotten her to 99 but 94 is still pretty respectable in Single Player I guess. She singlehandely found pretty much all my cool items for other character builds. Great list man and keep up the great work!
Is she better than Blizz sorc... coz I am trying to decide atm which sorc to build. I enjoy playing Frozen Orb more than Blizz, but for MF I think Blizz> Orb ?
I have a budget hammerdin build up on my channel that I used for a long while before finding jah/ber on him, then I used him him with enigma to find almost all my stuff--with the partial exception of some of my rarest finds, many of which came from my AT blizz sorc. I like an HDIN because I think he's your best all-around mfer. If you only want those rarest of items--the death cleavers, fathoms, crown of ages, etc--then yes you're better off with these hardcore pit/AT/pindle runner type of characters. But in my opinion, if you're always looking for a lot of different things (interesting whites, good mid-lvl uniques like gores, runes of course) then a hdin is best. Also, a hdin can take on anything, which also means that farming is a bit less repetitive and dull since you can do many different areas in a single run, vary it up a bit. I also like an hdin because I find weak sorcs to be pretty squishy and I just tend to die a lot and its annoying. Also I think Hdins are actually pretty fun to play personally. So yeah, honestly if I was starting from absolute zero I would make a blizz sorc to cheese kill meph and do AT runs, but I think I would start up a hdin when I could.

I like all of your content man, though I think using Enigma, Infinity and Call to Arms on almost every character has colored your perception of what is "tanky" or "can MF anywhere". Most players will already have 90+% of their self-found grail before finding the runes to make those, so your list is basically for an extremely small group of people who are finishing off their grails, rather than a list that covers the whole spectrum of players and where they're at MF-ing-wise. Being the best MF character doesn't mean anything if you already have to have "everything" to make that character viable.
Good point. Totally agree with you as a single player newb. Al this enigmas and other scary runewords look nearly impossible to get. I've been playing quite a lot and didn't even have a single rune higher than fcking Pul.
He did say that this list is focused on farming level 85 areas, which is a lategame concept itself. Without that detail, there is no list. There's just Blizz sorc for AT and Meph, that's it.
Pretty much what simon said. Its honestly blizz sorc. Mephisto and ancient tunnels until you can make cta hoto enigma and what not. I mean i guess list coukd also include hdin charging around casting hammers. But would be a shirt list. I did try to take into consideration expense of characters as well :)
@@Dbrunski125 mmm not entirely true . As a SP self found barb you can embrace the beauty of item find . He sure is not as min maxed /efficient as the imba sorc , but it's doable . Again trav on players 3 reqs 2 oaths (wich u can get from coutess runs early on) , dual +3 to warcries (vendor junk), a Lionheart (Also countess runs) . The rest can be filled with decen mf rares+ resists.
I whole heartedly agree. I like Dbrunski and his videos. I've watched many, but I have the same thoughts. I have been playing on and off for a year now and I still don't even have a call to arms or shako or occulus for my fire/cold sorc. I haven't even found tarnhelm for God sakes. I need a cheap/budget build to help me quickly find some high runes so I can get a CTA and Infinity

I went old school and did full tals frozen orb... Works pretty well I can get into some pickles but once you get use to how to constantly move and throw orbs it's pretty fast
Frozen Orb is actually a better Cold Sorc MF build until you get into the upper 80s in level AND start playing on higher than 2 player difficulty. If all you do is online personal games then Frozen Orb is better. It has more survival, more regen, and more than enough damage for mobs in 1-2 player games. Once you get up to 5+ player games you pretty much have to go Blizzard Sorc. But even then you need about 90 levels of synergies and skill points before Blizzard really starts to show it's true colors.
Pick up blues and yellows and look for things with magic find. Kill nightmare mephisto with blizzard sorceress. Find better magic find gear there. Once you are strong enough, farm ancient tunnels and hell mephisto
a video for other MF classes would be nice. like the second part. Fire Sorc, Singer Barb, FoH/Holybolt pally (Maus/AT), Frozen Arrow Amazon (AT), Fire Druid (damn I love him!). And among the comments there can be some more. Consider! This one got 100k views.
Hammerdin is definitely number 1 it has everything you need. .Fast kill speeds .Tanky .Huge damage outputs .Doesn't suffer from a lot of immunities like sorcs . Can farm practically anywhere even without high end gear as it just requires fcr and skill points to improve blessed hammers. . Plus you can kill ubers with it by adding 1 point in to smite and using last wish.
Without high end gear you wont be teleporting or having magic find. A mid geared cold sorc will have that. Hammerdin is ok with low/mid gear and very good with godly gear. He is solidly in the number 2 spot.
I know it's a bit old material but I would like to know your opinion, I am cold soso at new ladder just for MF, like ancients, Andy, mef, mauzoleum, crypts build. I am playing orb instead of blizzard what do you think about it. Got so far quite regular gear i mean nothing special but killing and Ariel and every single mobs on one skill.
Glad to see that you had Blizzard as not only top, but budget. It really does shine. Meph runs with a blizz sorc allow you to weapon swap with Ali Baba's and have really high MF on kill.
Do you have a vid on your blizz sorc build ? I have a blizz sorc and hate her so squishy maybe missing something ? I had more fun on orb light, she's only lev. 87 tho.
I think blizz sorc then hdin then zerker. Hdin only really needs enigma, and can vigor or charge if absolutely necessary and is much easier to play than the zerk, which needs a lot and is limited and harder to play. Also why no love for the metorb or litorb sorc? Dual element largely removes infinity requirement and it's safer than blizzard because orb slows more over a wider area. I would rank them over most any necro, and maybe over javazon, mostly because sorceress is very easy to gear and can farm everywhere pretty easy. Kill speed is slower but not by a huge amount, and just dual spirits and some tal items will tick most your gear boxes. If you can hit decent fcr you can run chancies/frostys/mana after kill then even do something like obedience and treachery for a super effective merc needing nothing really big rune word wise. I find it's one of the cheapest/effective characters or builds in all of d2.

There are so many claims that the chars in this vid rely too much on High End Gears such as Enigma, CTA, Infinity AND THAT IT IS UNREALISTIC TO GET THOSE IN SP. I TOTALLY AND ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE WITH THOSE OPINIONS. I have started playing this game again this August and since then I have made these following chars in SP with only the help of Plugy. 1. Blizz Sorc - Mostly Meph MF Items with CTA - Merc Eth Insight, Eth FORTI, Andi - For MF and Rune farming With her I did tons of LK runs to get high runes, which helped me to make a bunch of high end gears including her CTA and Mercs Forti. The other chars look like this : 2. Zealdin - Started with an Oath Eth Conquest Sword till I made a DEATH Eth Ettin Axe, FORTI with CTA - Enough IAS to reach max Zeal attack frame - Merc Reapers, Tals, Eth Treachery - For Anni and Uber runs 3. Trapkicksin - COH, Rift or Crescent Moon, CTA - Merc INFINITY, Eth Treachery, Gaze - Only for Nilhathak runs 4. Multi purpose barb - 2 GRIEF PBs, 1 DEATH Eth CS, 1 ENIGMA, 1 6IST PB - Merc, Eth Treachery, Rockstopper, Eth Lawbringer or Eth Insight - For Travi runs(with 2 Griefs and A5 Lawbringer merc) or Pit/Pindle runs(with 1Grief, 1 6IST PB and A4 Insight merc) ※ general rus with 1 Death and 1 Grief. 5. Items lying around - 1 HOTO (used for my Sorc in the 1st month) - 1 Forti (used for my Barb till I made the Enigma) Major HRs I found or made are : - 1 ZOD (found) - 1 JAH (cubed from Sur runes) - 4 BER (1 found, 3 cubed) - 5 LO (3 found, 2 cubed) - and several others including Ohms and Vexes and Guls and below. ZOD I got from Maoselum, Pindle and Summoner each dropped 1 Ohm, a few in Chaos and Cows, BUT MOST OF THEM (maybe 90%?) I FOUND IN LK. AND THAT ALL HAPPENED WITHIN 3 ~ 4 MONTHS OF 3~4HRS/DAY GRINDING. To conclude its not impossible. U just need to put yr effort in places where u can get the HRs. I found a sur like in two days of lk lol. Found a few other hr like ohm and many mid runes, all like in one week. If i had knew about lk. I also started grinding lk from Dbrunski human bot project video demonstration. Second week hasn't been that good thought.
@@Miguel-o6j3w yeah sometimes it feels like it takes forever till the next HR. But one sure thing abt LK is, that the more u grind in vain, the more u can be sure that u will suddenly get more HRs in a series soon. Its a lovely place!
@@WAstateofmind I personally agreed a lot with Dbrunskis list. And as a matter of fact, my comment was neutral when it comes to the list itself. If u look closely, it was aimed at the ppl who claimed that HRs are hard to come by in real life. So I dont get yr point.
I diagree with the MF necromancer having to be expensive. I find it to be the only character that can clear the entire game with very poor gear on 1-2 players. Of course without Enigma to give you teleport it is slower, but things like Beast, BoTD on the merc etc. are not needed at all. Even a random non-ethereal obedience weapon is good for the merc to kill the first monster and then corpse explosion takes care of the rest.
My favorite MF Sorceress build is chain light/Orb. Mine has 550MF and a well equipped mercenary. She does very well and ofc an HDIN with 200 - 300 MF is hard to beat.
There are some decent builds missing from this list in the sorc category, meteorb sorc some people really like, although i actually use a firewall/fo sorc and she can handle hell baals at p8, shes an absolute boss melter, she drops baal, ubers, diablo, faster than my light sorc. if i get 2 firewalls up on one boss, its dead instantly, i have static field but dont even need it in most cases.
you can get a lot of nasty combos in the fire tree... fire ball is lit, ive heard good things about hydra though i dont use that build myself, if meteor had no 3 sec delay id use that all day, but as of now, i think firewall is the heaviest hitter.
You can also go blaze/fo, this is a build i NEVER see and might try. its dmg is less than firewall but it lasts several times longer than fire wall its one im tempted to look at. dual element is highly underrated. and fo looks weak cause maxed it only hits like 1k dmg, but dont let that deceive you, it maims p8 hell, even with infinity merc theres gonna be immunes to your element, this is why dual element is great, obv mercs can clear but dual element clears several times faster
As usual you inspire me to do a few runs on my grail sorc (plugy). I got about 15 LK runs in and dropped a BER! I can't believe it man, totally pumped now!
Mr. Dbrunsky, sir, don't take offence on my comment about difficulties of getting high runeword items. Didn't mean to be rude. I have an idea for a video to you: your top N list of budget builds, viable in single player (preferably of every class). I mean characters that can beat hell and still can be used for other things (MFing, Boss running etc) at least in some efficiency. I think lots of newbies like me will appreciate this kind of video. P.S.: I know, blizz sorc is cool and stuff... But for example: I'm not excited to play her at all. I would prefer to crush enemies with some crazy and interesting to play assassin or barb. And I guess that I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
For Barb. Max out frenzy, double swing, taunt, battle orders, shout and weapon mastery of your choice. put a few points in things like resist, command, warcry and defence. Only use frenzy for your attack, and warcry to stun stronger enemies. don't use double swing. Ramp up your frenzy, swing faster and run like a rolling ball of thunder. some budget runewords to help you would be spirit swords on your W switch to cast your warcrys . Treachery on you and your mercenary. and (1) Lawbringer in one hand or on a act five barbarian mercenary. having yourself doing the curse is probably better than the merc doing it but I have found so far that mace's are more easy to find and can have a lot of good stats your are looking for on them. attackspeed is what you want to aim for in glove body and weapon. Crushing blow you can find in boots and weapon slot. things like deadly strike and open wounds can help but crushing blow is the big one. For ass its the same deal. Focus on attack speed because castrate is useless to them. Spirit is still a good budget item if you are going traps though. I know a bit, but I know nothing about melee for traps, max out death, lighting, shockweb and, charge bolt. set out four lighting traps and one death one. stack defence and magicfind on your merc. 1 point in passives like shadow and mind blast. Throw a insight runeword on act 2 merc and laugh at shit melt. if you get enough items with +# mana after each kill Insight is no longer needed.
Do you not put points into light,cold, or fire mastery those break your immune so you dont need infinity.... unless they did a update since 2019 removing those skills.
I use a budget MF/GF barb. It's basically a Pit Zerker, except you use frenzy (not maxing the synergies, still semi-maxing howl) for mobility instead of eni. So you can run it as your first character (though for obvious reasons, starting with a sorc to get your first very low runes is better). I find it more fun than the other MF chars. (bonus points for Harmony in weapon switch)
I would have put the trapsin above the Zerker barb because the Trapsin does alot more damage and with the right equipment you can do 12K and beyond with lightning sentry. Plus the Trapsin can MF in alot more places than the Zerker barb plus she is faster at killing stuff than the Zerker barb. Plus the trapsin isn't a glass cannon while attacking. Other than that Very interesting list.
My Javazon runs chaos runs with 400 mf . 75 allres (overstacked in fire/light), kills diablo in players 7 in 2 sec flat... 100 fcr on bo switch (also with 75 allres).. This setup has nettet me most items (including runes/charms) by far.
Great list! Fairly entertaining, obviously completely subjective, but also serves as a bit of a help guild for those looking for strong MF builds (though most are not exactly cheap)

Great video! However I am gonna make a bit of a comment on your lite sorc description. When it comes to mf it’s possible to stack up to 300 mf and 400 if you only hit the 105 fcr breakpoint. Other than that good breakdown of the characters

Good video as always. I randomly came accross your videos and i've re-installed D2 and loving it. They don't make them like they used to. Almost shocking if you think about it. Graphics this bad (due to age) but still fun as f to play and farm gear. Plugy is important as well more time killing less time inventory management simulator.
I know this is probably an odd one but what about fireball/orb sorc???? You don't need expensive gear my sorc farms mos, crypt, ancient tunnels, cows, and pit. I know that it's not great at chaos but 12k fireball destroy all the low hp tier 85 places.
Who else didn't use ANY of those builds? :D My MF builds were a Holy-Bolt Paladin (cheap as shit to build and absolutely WRECKED Pindle) & a Frenzy Barbarian. Always loved how many different viable builds you can create in Diablo 2!
Does the infinity break immunes to cold as well? Or is it just for lightning? Sorry for the noob question but haven’t played d2 in like a decade and wanting to come back lol.
Yeah it's so similar to the blizzard sorc though. Orb is better on lower /players settings in acts 1-2. If you want to clear higher /players or the higher acts you need to give up some MF for damage.
Orb is better for cow runs, but in the tunnels where monsters stay in packs, blizzard is far superior. Also, Orb kills mephisto awfully slow, compared to blizzard.
it's a tradeoff of substantially higher damage output vs more screenclear. if the orb damage is high enough to clear a screen in 2-3 casts then sure, otherwise blizz. One blizz cast will instakill a pack with extreme ease. the damage being soo high that terribad gear is enough to clear early content with relative ease
I like to play a paladin with charge and fanaticism How can I call it I call it fast charge paladin If you have any other name tell me With a scull or any ( steal mana ) on my weapon I usually put a perfect topaz on the helmet but sometimes I also put one on the breast plate
I can't wait for D2R, I will said this list has brought up something that has always bothered me in D2 that there really is no solution to... teleport... to MF you are a sorc, have enigma, or your wrong, always hated that.
I prefer the classic Javazon for early ladder grinding, can run most areas without infinity, has decent movement with only Titan's, probably the fastest killer with a budget build and cannot one shot Cow King. She offers a high variety of areas to play in so the hardest character to get bored with. Her mf sucks without good gear so she can be a bit slow to start out but once she is rolling she becomes the best rune/mf build purely cause kill speed.
I really dislike Blizz sorc... I always make FrozenOrb/Fireball(+Meteor) instead. Much more fun to play and less gear dependent when it comes to immunities. With full Tals you have 400-500mf (AliBaba+Rhyme 2nd slot), 105%FC, you're tanky and you do really good dmg.
very nice top10 vid my suggestion for similar next vid is top10 "low budget" mf builds u know no enigma no infinity no epic uber uniques and gear from perfect non ladder forum players :)
As always - nice video dbrunsk! One thing I reacted to was your thoughts regarding the pitzerker/pindlezerker - more specific the idea that he gets minus points because he can't MF in several locations. Is this based on the fact that he uses Berserk as his primary skill and thus' can't kill magic immunes? I do think that he can be used in many different locations because of the fact that he should mainly focus on champions/elite bosses. Do you know if anyone tried to MF Ancient Tunnel's with this character?
@@i_am_ergo thanks for answering 😊 Yeah, I thought that might be the reasoning behind the statement "pitzerkers can't MF in many places". However, there's only one type of monster in the Ancient Tunnel's which is immune to magic - that shouldn't stop such an effective character from MFing in places like the Ancient Tunnel's. We can assume that 1-2 elite bosses/champions which is immune to magic will spawn every time you make a run - you still can have up to 6 elite bosses/champions outside of the 2 which is immune to magic. It can be worth to run!
@@joacimohrnell3346 Grinding anything lategame in D2 is more about efficiency than ability. I wish there were 8 boss groups in AT every time. Unfortunately, even on the best maps, you will quite often get just 4. Imagine two of them being magic immunes that take you extra time to kill. I mean... why bother at this point, if you can clear AT faster and more reliably with a blizz sorc? Pitzerker excells in other areas. You _can_ do AT with him, but from the point of efficiency, you shouldn't.
@@i_am_ergo sure, that's some valid points. I always thought that it was more dense in Ancient Tunnel's when it comes to elite bosses/champions. It's better to farm Ancient Tunnel's with a cold sorceress if you want to clear everything in a run - still one could go zerker to switch things up. Then again, you could argue that The Pit's is a better place to run with the zerker.

Fireball/frozen orb sorceress imo is one of the best at low-player setting
Is she better than Blizz sorc... coz I am trying to decide atm which sorc to build. I enjoy playing Frozen Orb more than Blizz, but for MF I think Blizz> Orb ?
I have a budget hammerdin build up on my channel that I used for a long while before finding jah/ber on him, then I used him him with enigma to find almost all my stuff--with the partial exception of some of my rarest finds, many of which came from my AT blizz sorc.
I like an HDIN because I think he's your best all-around mfer. If you only want those rarest of items--the death cleavers, fathoms, crown of ages, etc--then yes you're better off with these hardcore pit/AT/pindle runner type of characters. But in my opinion, if you're always looking for a lot of different things (interesting whites, good mid-lvl uniques like gores, runes of course) then a hdin is best. Also, a hdin can take on anything, which also means that farming is a bit less repetitive and dull since you can do many different areas in a single run, vary it up a bit.
I also like an hdin because I find weak sorcs to be pretty squishy and I just tend to die a lot and its annoying. Also I think Hdins are actually pretty fun to play personally.
So yeah, honestly if I was starting from absolute zero I would make a blizz sorc to cheese kill meph and do AT runs, but I think I would start up a hdin when I could.
almost correct, you only need so swap out "hdin" with "necromancer"

I like all of your content man, though I think using Enigma, Infinity and Call to Arms on almost every character has colored your perception of what is "tanky" or "can MF anywhere". Most players will already have 90+% of their self-found grail before finding the runes to make those, so your list is basically for an extremely small group of people who are finishing off their grails, rather than a list that covers the whole spectrum of players and where they're at MF-ing-wise. Being the best MF character doesn't mean anything if you already have to have "everything" to make that character viable.
Good point. Totally agree with you as a single player newb. Al this enigmas and other scary runewords look nearly impossible to get. I've been playing quite a lot and didn't even have a single rune higher than fcking Pul.
He did say that this list is focused on farming level 85 areas, which is a lategame concept itself.
Without that detail, there is no list. There's just Blizz sorc for AT and Meph, that's it.
Pretty much what simon said. Its honestly blizz sorc. Mephisto and ancient tunnels until you can make cta hoto enigma and what not. I mean i guess list coukd also include hdin charging around casting hammers. But would be a shirt list. I did try to take into consideration expense of characters as well :)
@@Dbrunski125 mmm not entirely true . As a SP self found barb you can embrace the beauty of item find . He sure is not as min maxed /efficient as the imba sorc , but it's doable . Again trav on players 3 reqs 2 oaths (wich u can get from coutess runs early on) , dual +3 to warcries (vendor junk), a Lionheart (Also countess runs) . The rest can be filled with decen mf rares+ resists.
I whole heartedly agree. I like Dbrunski and his videos. I've watched many, but I have the same thoughts. I have been playing on and off for a year now and I still don't even have a call to arms or shako or occulus for my fire/cold sorc. I haven't even found tarnhelm for God sakes. I need a cheap/budget build to help me quickly find some high runes so I can get a CTA and Infinity

I went old school and did full tals frozen orb... Works pretty well I can get into some pickles but once you get use to how to constantly move and throw orbs it's pretty fast
Frozen Orb is actually a better Cold Sorc MF build until you get into the upper 80s in level AND start playing on higher than 2 player difficulty. If all you do is online personal games then Frozen Orb is better. It has more survival, more regen, and more than enough damage for mobs in 1-2 player games. Once you get up to 5+ player games you pretty much have to go Blizzard Sorc. But even then you need about 90 levels of synergies and skill points before Blizzard really starts to show it's true colors.

Pick up blues and yellows and look for things with magic find. Kill nightmare mephisto with blizzard sorceress. Find better magic find gear there. Once you are strong enough, farm ancient tunnels and hell mephisto
In my experience 300 mf is the sweet spot its overall not to hard or expensive to achieve its a good balance of mf and damage potential

Hammerdin is definitely number 1 it has everything you need.

.Doesn't suffer from a lot of immunities like sorcs
. Can farm practically anywhere even without high end gear as it just requires fcr and skill points to improve blessed hammers.
. Plus you can kill ubers with it by adding 1 point in to smite and using last wish.
Without high end gear you wont be teleporting or having magic find. A mid geared cold sorc will have that. Hammerdin is ok with low/mid gear and very good with godly gear. He is solidly in the number 2 spot.
I know it's a bit old material but I would like to know your opinion, I am cold soso at new ladder just for MF, like ancients, Andy, mef, mauzoleum, crypts build. I am playing orb instead of blizzard what do you think about it. Got so far quite regular gear i mean nothing special but killing and Ariel and every single mobs on one skill.
Glad to see that you had Blizzard as not only top, but budget. It really does shine. Meph runs with a blizz sorc allow you to weapon swap with Ali Baba's and have really high MF on kill.
There are so many cold immunes. I love a blizz sorc but unless you have a well geared merc it will be hard.

Good list. Fishyzon can run chaos well with low gear... Jailkeeper is another low gear strong build.
I think blizz sorc then hdin then zerker. Hdin only really needs enigma, and can vigor or charge if absolutely necessary and is much easier to play than the zerk, which needs a lot and is limited and harder to play. Also why no love for the metorb or litorb sorc? Dual element largely removes infinity requirement and it's safer than blizzard because orb slows more over a wider area. I would rank them over most any necro, and maybe over javazon, mostly because sorceress is very easy to gear and can farm everywhere pretty easy. Kill speed is slower but not by a huge amount, and just dual spirits and some tal items will tick most your gear boxes. If you can hit decent fcr you can run chancies/frostys/mana after kill then even do something like obedience and treachery for a super effective merc needing nothing really big rune word wise. I find it's one of the cheapest/effective characters or builds in all of d2.

There are so many claims that the chars in this vid rely too much on High End Gears such as Enigma, CTA, Infinity AND THAT IT IS UNREALISTIC TO GET THOSE IN SP.
I TOTALLY AND ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE WITH THOSE OPINIONS.
I have started playing this game again this August and since then I have made these following chars in SP with only the help of Plugy.
1. Blizz Sorc
- Mostly Meph MF Items with CTA
- Merc Eth Insight, Eth FORTI, Andi
- For MF and Rune farming
With her I did tons of LK runs to get high runes, which helped me to make a bunch of high end gears including her CTA and Mercs Forti. The other chars look like this :
2. Zealdin
- Started with an Oath Eth Conquest Sword till I made a DEATH Eth Ettin Axe, FORTI with CTA
- Enough IAS to reach max Zeal attack frame
- Merc Reapers, Tals, Eth Treachery
- For Anni and Uber runs
3. Trapkicksin
- COH, Rift or Crescent Moon, CTA
- Merc INFINITY, Eth Treachery, Gaze
- Only for Nilhathak runs
4. Multi purpose barb
- 2 GRIEF PBs, 1 DEATH Eth CS, 1 ENIGMA, 1 6IST PB
- Merc, Eth Treachery, Rockstopper, Eth Lawbringer or Eth Insight
- For Travi runs(with 2 Griefs and A5 Lawbringer merc) or Pit/Pindle runs(with 1Grief, 1 6IST PB and A4 Insight merc)
※ general rus with 1 Death and 1 Grief.
5. Items lying around
- 1 HOTO (used for my Sorc in the 1st month)
- 1 Forti (used for my Barb till I made the Enigma)
Major HRs I found or made are :
- 1 ZOD (found)
- 1 JAH (cubed from Sur runes)
- 4 BER (1 found, 3 cubed)
- 5 LO (3 found, 2 cubed)
- and several others including Ohms and Vexes and Guls and below.
ZOD I got from Maoselum, Pindle and Summoner each dropped 1 Ohm, a few in Chaos and Cows, BUT MOST OF THEM (maybe 90%?) I FOUND IN LK. AND THAT ALL HAPPENED WITHIN 3 ~ 4 MONTHS OF 3~4HRS/DAY GRINDING.
To conclude its not impossible. U just need to put yr effort in places where u can get the HRs.
Check out Dbrunski's 10000 LK runs vid and also the below link which is a guide to LK runs, explaining why it guarantees u an Enigma and an Infinity among other high end gear assuming u grind long enough :

I found a sur like in two days of lk lol. Found a few other hr like ohm and many mid runes, all like in one week. If i had knew about lk. I also started grinding lk from Dbrunski human bot project video demonstration. Second week hasn't been that good thought.
@@Miguel-o6j3w yeah sometimes it feels like it takes forever till the next HR. But one sure thing abt LK is, that the more u grind in vain, the more u can be sure that u will suddenly get more HRs in a series soon. Its a lovely place!

Why is the poison necro limited to the pits? Is their damage really not good enough with corpse explosion for chaos etc?
I diagree with the MF necromancer having to be expensive. I find it to be the only character that can clear the entire game with very poor gear on 1-2 players. Of course without Enigma to give you teleport it is slower, but things like Beast, BoTD on the merc etc. are not needed at all. Even a random non-ethereal obedience weapon is good for the merc to kill the first monster and then corpse explosion takes care of the rest.

My favorite MF Sorceress build is chain light/Orb. Mine has 550MF and a well equipped mercenary. She does very well and ofc an HDIN with 200 - 300 MF is hard to beat.
There are some decent builds missing from this list in the sorc category, meteorb sorc some people really like, although i actually use a firewall/fo sorc and she can handle hell baals at p8, shes an absolute boss melter, she drops baal, ubers, diablo, faster than my light sorc. if i get 2 firewalls up on one boss, its dead instantly, i have static field but dont even need it in most cases.
you can get a lot of nasty combos in the fire tree... fire ball is lit, ive heard good things about hydra though i dont use that build myself, if meteor had no 3 sec delay id use that all day, but as of now, i think firewall is the heaviest hitter.
You can also go blaze/fo, this is a build i NEVER see and might try. its dmg is less than firewall but it lasts several times longer than fire wall its one im tempted to look at. dual element is highly underrated. and fo looks weak cause maxed it only hits like 1k dmg, but dont let that deceive you, it maims p8 hell, even with infinity merc theres gonna be immunes to your element, this is why dual element is great, obv mercs can clear but dual element clears several times faster

I have an idea for a video to you: your top N list of budget builds, viable in single player (preferably of every class). I mean characters that can beat hell and still can be used for other things (MFing, Boss running etc) at least in some efficiency. I think lots of newbies like me will appreciate this kind of video.
P.S.: I know, blizz sorc is cool and stuff... But for example: I'm not excited to play her at all. I would prefer to crush enemies with some crazy and interesting to play assassin or barb. And I guess that I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
For Barb. Max out frenzy, double swing, taunt, battle orders, shout and weapon mastery of your choice. put a few points in things like resist, command, warcry and defence. Only use frenzy for your attack, and warcry to stun stronger enemies. don't use double swing. Ramp up your frenzy, swing faster and run like a rolling ball of thunder. some budget runewords to help you would be spirit swords on your W switch to cast your warcrys . Treachery on you and your mercenary. and (1) Lawbringer in one hand or on a act five barbarian mercenary. having yourself doing the curse is probably better than the merc doing it but I have found so far that mace's are more easy to find and can have a lot of good stats your are looking for on them. attackspeed is what you want to aim for in glove body and weapon. Crushing blow you can find in boots and weapon slot. things like deadly strike and open wounds can help but crushing blow is the big one.
For ass its the same deal. Focus on attack speed because castrate is useless to them. Spirit is still a good budget item if you are going traps though. I know a bit, but I know nothing about melee for traps, max out death, lighting, shockweb and, charge bolt. set out four lighting traps and one death one. stack defence and magicfind on your merc. 1 point in passives like shadow and mind blast. Throw a insight runeword on act 2 merc and laugh at shit melt. if you get enough items with +# mana after each kill Insight is no longer needed.
Do you not put points into light,cold, or fire mastery those break your immune so you dont need infinity.... unless they did a update since 2019 removing those skills.
Cold Mastery does not break immunity. Only Lower Resist and Conviction can break elemental immunities. This has always been the case.
I use a budget MF/GF barb. It's basically a Pit Zerker, except you use frenzy (not maxing the synergies, still semi-maxing howl) for mobility instead of eni. So you can run it as your first character (though for obvious reasons, starting with a sorc to get your first very low runes is better).
I find it more fun than the other MF chars. (bonus points for Harmony in weapon switch)

I would have put the trapsin above the Zerker barb because the Trapsin does alot more damage and with the right equipment you can do 12K and beyond with lightning sentry. Plus the Trapsin can MF in alot more places than the Zerker barb plus she is faster at killing stuff than the Zerker barb. Plus the trapsin isn't a glass cannon while attacking. Other than that Very interesting list.

My Javazon runs chaos runs with 400 mf . 75 allres (overstacked in fire/light), kills diablo in players 7 in 2 sec flat... 100 fcr on bo switch (also with 75 allres).. This setup has nettet me most items (including runes/charms) by far.
Great list! Fairly entertaining, obviously completely subjective, but also serves as a bit of a help guild for those looking for strong MF builds (though most are not exactly cheap)

Great video! However I am gonna make a bit of a comment on your lite sorc description. When it comes to mf it’s possible to stack up to 300 mf and 400 if you only hit the 105 fcr breakpoint. Other than that good breakdown of the characters

Good video as always. I randomly came accross your videos and i've re-installed D2 and loving it. They don't make them like they used to. Almost shocking if you think about it. Graphics this bad (due to age) but still fun as f to play and farm gear. Plugy is important as well more time killing less time inventory management simulator.

I know this is probably an odd one but what about fireball/orb sorc???? You don't need expensive gear my sorc farms mos, crypt, ancient tunnels, cows, and pit. I know that it's not great at chaos but 12k fireball destroy all the low hp tier 85 places.

My MF builds were a Holy-Bolt Paladin (cheap as shit to build and absolutely WRECKED Pindle) & a Frenzy Barbarian.
Always loved how many different viable builds you can create in Diablo 2!
I know it's not what the video is about, but I wanted to add that everyone will create a Sorc 1st above all because of 1 single reason: Teleport.
I will always prefer my Frenzy Barb and Fishymancer as MF charas. Sadly, Frenzy gear is so darned expensive...

I'll go Frozen Orb Sorc any day above Blizzard sorc.
Yeah it's so similar to the blizzard sorc though. Orb is better on lower /players settings in acts 1-2. If you want to clear higher /players or the higher acts you need to give up some MF for damage.
Orb is better for cow runs, but in the tunnels where monsters stay in packs, blizzard is far superior. Also, Orb kills mephisto awfully slow, compared to blizzard.
Well if you have deaths fathom orb can be really good on P5 doing around 1k dmg
it's a tradeoff of substantially higher damage output vs more screenclear. if the orb damage is high enough to clear a screen in 2-3 casts then sure, otherwise blizz. One blizz cast will instakill a pack with extreme ease. the damage being soo high that terribad gear is enough to clear early content with relative ease

I prefer the classic Javazon for early ladder grinding, can run most areas without infinity, has decent movement with only Titan's, probably the fastest killer with a budget build and cannot one shot Cow King. She offers a high variety of areas to play in so the hardest character to get bored with. Her mf sucks without good gear so she can be a bit slow to start out but once she is rolling she becomes the best rune/mf build purely cause kill speed.

I really dislike Blizz sorc... I always make FrozenOrb/Fireball(+Meteor) instead. Much more fun to play and less gear dependent when it comes to immunities. With full Tals you have 400-500mf (AliBaba+Rhyme 2nd slot), 105%FC, you're tanky and you do really good dmg.

You can just run lvl 85 areas or similar. Javas don't need eni to farm Cows, for instance.
As always - nice video dbrunsk! One thing I reacted to was your thoughts regarding the pitzerker/pindlezerker - more specific the idea that he gets minus points because he can't MF in several locations. Is this based on the fact that he uses Berserk as his primary skill and thus' can't kill magic immunes? I do think that he can be used in many different locations because of the fact that he should mainly focus on champions/elite bosses. Do you know if anyone tried to MF Ancient Tunnel's with this character?
Pitzerker isn't viable in AT for the same reason as Hammerdin: Berserk deals magic damage.

However, there's only one type of monster in the Ancient Tunnel's which is immune to magic - that shouldn't stop such an effective character from MFing in places like the Ancient Tunnel's. We can assume that 1-2 elite bosses/champions which is immune to magic will spawn every time you make a run - you still can have up to 6 elite bosses/champions outside of the 2 which is immune to magic. It can be worth to run!

Grinding anything lategame in D2 is more about efficiency than ability. I wish there were 8 boss groups in AT every time. Unfortunately, even on the best maps, you will quite often get just 4. Imagine two of them being magic immunes that take you extra time to kill. I mean... why bother at this point, if you can clear AT faster and more reliably with a blizz sorc? Pitzerker excells in other areas. You _can_ do AT with him, but from the point of efficiency, you shouldn't.
@@i_am_ergo sure, that's some valid points. I always thought that it was more dense in Ancient Tunnel's when it comes to elite bosses/champions. It's better to farm Ancient Tunnel's with a cold sorceress if you want to clear everything in a run - still one could go zerker to switch things up. Then again, you could argue that The Pit's is a better place to run with the zerker.
