Fun Fact: Another detail for Bayonetta being picked for Candy Kong is because her taunts involve her doing dance poses. In the GBA version of DKC1: Candy Kong has a rhythm mini game which she dances to the music and would strike a pose here and there.
Fun fact: those missing Lanky and Chunky verses are only missing from recent Smash games, and are still in the original version of the songs in Melee iirc
Yeah. They shorted the song (alongside some of the other songs) to two minutes in SSB4 due to some memory issues with the game. The memory issues were fixed in Ultimate but unfortunately those shortened songs never got "unshortened".

If you played dkc1 and saw the layout they gave you in ultimates adventure mode, you'd see the bullet bill represents his high speed aircraft that takes the kongs anywhere they've been at a high speed
I always thought the bullet bills for the Funky spirit battle were supposed to reference flying in vehicles by Funky in the DKC games, maybe even in a way reference barrel cannons from the DKC games.
My fav Spirit battle in the DK series was definitely Kaptain K.Rool. Strange how a playable fighter's 2nd disguise shows up as a Spirir Lol. Either way, it was a nice fun, nostalgic callback to that gloriously difficult childhood boss fight.
There are more Kremlings currently only unique to Barrel Blast. All great designs and personalities, hope they return whenever Kremlings are put in an actual DK game again
11:11 I mean, he was left out of Barrel Blast. Both Tiny and Lanky were in that game and it was the last time either of them appeared... Course the DK franchise has had a pretty rough history following DK 64, which in recent years is not helped by the mismanagement with the unreleased Sheik game tearing apart Retro Studios...
It's probably worth noting that Spirits (especially in WoL) usually avoid using a character's default color, even when it would make more sense. I'm guessing this is to suggest that the fights aren't against the real fighter, but clones made by Galeem and Dharkon.
I catched an error regarding the Klap Traps. They didn't originate in Donkey Kong Country. That's merely "where" we learned their name. But their first appearance was undoubtedly years earlier in Donkey Kong Junior. Unless Rare came up with another form of giant-mawed tiny crocodile by themselves which I doubt.
it might not be intentional, but ice cave chant being the music for enguarde lines up with him being playable in two of the four ice levels in DKC2 (arctic abyss and his section in animal antics)
Actually, in the DK Junior fight, the main fighter is not a regular-sized DK. He's just not as tiny as a Poison Mushroomed/Lightninged DK. Corrin's dash attack also has them float momentarily, just like when you're using Enguarde's charge attack underwater.
No Tiki Tong spirit? I guess other than the Hands, the closest character abilitywise would be Bayonetta, and even then, that would only work for his hands.
King K rool and Lord Fredoricson (or how was he named again????) have similar moves so that's another reason why king k rool is chosen for his spirit battle.
Distant Planet might have been chosen for Ninja Kong's fight to match the rain that happens in his Jungle Beat encounter, but does the rain even appear on the omega form of the stage?
I don't get why you incorrectly stated that the Donkey Kong from the Donkey Kong and Lady spirit to be a earlier version of the current day DK, only to later get it right with the Cranky Kong spirit. Did you mean to do it with Jr., who might be the current day DK grown up?

You can do it!!! (Also wow, I'd never heard of Stanley before outside of his Spirit, so I definitely learned something new today!)
20:07- Actually Zingers first appear in the second level, Ropey Rampage near the later half of the level.
