    In other words:
    Soundcore 1: Less Bass - Slightly longer battery life.
    Soundcore 2: More Bass - Slightly shorter battery life.
    I went with More Bass. Slightly shorter battery life. The battery on the Soundcore 2 is still long enough to last a couple of days of full use, so my choice was easy...i want that extra bit of bass son!

      @@Sarith_sagae I was just using it 10 minutes ago! I put it in the hood of my hoodie whilst walking the dog, it still sounds like a beast and the battery life is still behaving like brand new.
      The speaker is still the best one of its size and mobility, for sure. Soundcore 2 was definitely the right decision to me. I use it probably an hour daily and need to charge it probably once every 3 weeks. The extra BASS on Soundcore 2 made all the difference for me, especially because i listen to bass-heavy music like Drum + Bass and Dubstep

    Also to me the Anker Soundcore 2 looks more modern with it's rounded edges and corners.

  • @Driver2616
    @Driver2616 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I think the Soundcore 2 sounds a bit better here. I suppose it’s down to a personal choice but seeing as I’ve already had the Soundcore 2 (which I really like) for about a year, I’m possibly a bit biased. I’ve also recently acquired a Tronsmart Element Force 40W and for some listening, I prefer that one. The three EQ bass settings deliver a bit more depth than the Soundcore 2. Again, it’s all down to personal choice and personal listening preferences. There is one further element to consider. Price. Both Soundcore 2 and the Tronsmart Element Force were very competitively priced when compared to other bluetooth speakers that delivered similar sounds in their respective class. I could have easily spent twice the price for several speakers that provide relatively similar sound output.

  • @underscore_tip
    @underscore_tip 5 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    Alright, me again. Now that I bought the speaker, I can confidently say that buying the generation 2 speaker is better because not only do you get water resistance and faster charging, but you also have much clearer sound. There is one downside to this. The bass isn't as strong on the first generation since I've tested both and if you want the best of both worlds, buy the generation 2 but install a bass booster app. Yes, it's that simple. This way you can have something that can beat the Charge 4 for the price. Ofcourse the Charge 4 has considerately better bass but the loudness is practically indistinguible and you get a longer charge on the Anker. Keeping these facts in mind, I can confidently say that the Charge, if it was for the same price is about 1.5x better. But that's not how the real world works so the Charge is a full 3x more expensive (6x more expensive in my country) for basically the same speaker.
    So if you can't decide, don't go for the Clip 3, don't go for the Flip 4, don't go for the Charge 4, don't go for the soundcore 1, run to your local store right now, and buy the Soundcore 2. This speaker is literally heavenly for the price.
    TL;DR buy the Soundcore 2
    (edit) Sorry for any spelling mistakes I made ;D

    If you start hearing a cracking sound with the speaker chances are the speaker has developed a few tear's along is flexible foam diaphragm. You need to use a butter knife to remove the frontal metal mesh front. no worries its not screwed in , its glued in, and you wont damage it if you take your time. But it does take some effort to pry off. then all you have to do is press down on the speakers to find the tear's. then simply apply some glue to those areas. I suggest glues that dont get rock hard, but rather those like gorilla glue, wood glue, or 3m spray adhesive. Those glues cure with elasticity properties. so they will work best with the vibration of a speaker. apply it with a brush and make sure the glue covers the splits, wait for it to dry then put the mesh cover back on. the speaker should no longer make noises, if the holes are properly sealed. btw, if only one speaker sees tearing then also apply glue to the other speaker as well. make sure not to stress test the tears with loud music until you believe the glue to be fully cured.

    1 USB charging port.
    1 Integrated battery.(non removable)
    Bluetooth connectivity.
    The same amount of buttons.
    1 charging cable, albeit very short ones.
    Charge while playing music.
    Neither has a built in radio.
    Does not come with an AUX cable.
    ---- Differences ---

    Better clarity at absolute MAX Volume.
    (Negatives - )
    Less rounded corner design.
    No ipx protection.
    Worse buttons
    .
    Worse bass & less clarity at low/medium volumes
    .
    Does not have pairing feature with another speaker. (you can manually connect two of them with a 3.5mm cinch cable, a Y-cable that is)
    3 Watt per speaker, x2 = 6 Watts total.
    Slower charging. (USB Type Micro A jack)
    Bluetooth 4.0 or 4.2 (unsure, as amazon listing claims 4.0 and then later 4.2)
    ----------------------------------
    Soundcore 2:
    (Positives + )
    Has a more rounded corner design.
    Has better bass
    and clarity at low/medium volumes.
    Ipx7 water protection.
    Better buttons
    .
    Has pairing feature with another Soundcore 2.
    6 Watt per speaker, x2 = 12 Watts total.
    Faster charging. (USB Type C jack, uncofirmed might be A)
    Bluetooth 5.0
    (Negatives - )
    Sounds a bit worse at absolute MAX volume.
    -----------------------------------
    (Negatives and positives are in comparison to eachother)
    [Probably missed something, let me know.]

    • @niina83
      @niina83 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mommymkis I have not checked that one out, however from what i can tell from the listing on resellers there are 3 different versions of the flare:
      The Mini
      The + (plus)
      & the regular version.
      Main difference seem to be ipx rating, battery life, and driver (speaker size).
      Should be fairly samey otherwise.
      If you want more indepth information you could check amazon and compare the specifications, or check the manufacturers website for more detailed information (soundcore is the manufacturer for those, not Anker)

    But, isn't there a power difference? 6W Soundcore 1 vs the 12W of Soundcore 2

    • @josipbalic3403
      @josipbalic3403 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no difference. Double watts does not mean double power

    • @wvlfkvnt
      @wvlfkvnt 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Josip Balić exactly, the loudest the soundcore 2 “might” be getting is a dB higher then the previous version but the difference is negligible. And with him saying the SC2 breaks up at higher volumes, that typically means it’s THD % is probably higher or it’s probably clipping and he doesn’t even know it? Which is pretty shitty IMO.

    5K (INR) for this speaker is a waste of money. Why? Because after almost 11 months of use (bought this on 02/10/2019), after watching the "unbox therapy video on Anker Soundcore 2 " review online. However, I still went ahead and purchased this. This product's cost is way too high compared to other similar products offered by different brands.
    Now, within 11 months only, the speaker is producing distorted sounds. I complained to Anker regarding the same since it's still in warranty, but they would not return or repair the product saying -
    "If the issue persists, we regret that we are not able to help you walk into our 18-months warranty process. Because I've noticed that you purchased this order from ATM RETAIL, and they are responsible for the warranty. We don't process the warranty from purchases made through our resellers because we don't have their order details in our system."
    Really? I am disappointed and did not expect this was coming from a company like ANKER. My bad. I should never go for this product, and neither should anyone else. It's better to choose a good brand with better customer values (Philips, Sony, Bose, JBL, etc.). @unboxtherapy - I am really disappointed and should have never trusted you guys.
