    • @dustingaither9146
      @dustingaither9146 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Answer to tire questions. Depends on lift. I have a 2.5 day star lift that you can fit 31s but your going to have to cut your pinch weld in the front fender and either have the right off set wheel or spacers if you have a factory wheel. I have a a tire equivalent to a 30 by 9.50 mounted on factory 16 inch steel wheel and and can fully flex to the max and not rub and I have not cut the pinch weld. I did trim my front bumper up which helps a lot. I did try to go with a 31 10.50 but was going to have to run spacer cut pinch weld and was going to have some rub at full flex I also have a 4 cyl that is geared a little high so tire killed engine. Ours is a budget build so I went with the spacer lift because I didn’t like reviews on the Rough Country 3 in lift I was so tempted to buy. It didn’t hold up over time and springs settled. I knew what I was getting with the Daystar lift and I’m happy with the performance for the price. I’ve Gone on trips with a family of four all our cooking and recovery gear tools. I’ve been on Jeep badge of honor trail and several trails. Yes I’ve gotten stuck and have been winched out several times but I know my limits when to back down and when to push through. And it’s awesome to see the looks on the people’s faces when you pass a 50,000 dollar decked out wrangler on the trail. A Liberty out on the trail gets people’s attention. The main thing is to get out have fun and explore you don’t have to have the biggest lift and tires though it does make it more fun or the 50,00 dollar rig if you got I’m happy for you but go have fun whatever level your at.

I need roof mounting brackets for a 40" curved bar light (or any other suggestions in lighting), rear bumper with swing out for Jerry can/spare, sliders and undercarriage armor. I think I'm going to go with the Badlands 12000 winch with synthetic rope, was considering the ARB front bumper with bull bar, and I ended up ordering the Ironman 2" lift (was on steal of a sale) It's hard to find anything over 2" with the diesel but I did find one but the iron man was 1/3rd the price which allows me to get more other stuff quicker. I have a 2006 and i was worried about putting a roof top rent because of the weight ,, jeep says the roof is rated for 150 lbs. so how does the roof hold up to the weight ? Any issues or did you reinforce it some how ?

    • @skyteamoverland5399
      @skyteamoverland5399  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe that the 150lbs is for the strength of the stock rails capacity, not necessarily the roof. But you do have to factor in dynamic vs static loads into the equation. For mine, I do not have the stock rails on it, as it is bolted directly to the roof. I haven't had any issues, and have not reinforced anything. This tent is an evenly distributed 189lbs

    It’s called a snorkel dude, now why would that be? What are snorkels used for?

      My primary purpose isn't for fording water. I have one and use it for cleaner air. Having the ability to use it to go onto deeper water vs. the stock location is just a small added benefit

      @@skyteamoverland5399 Diesel if fine unless your planning on travelling to really cold parts of the U.S. in the winter at which point a new set of problems occur such as needing a engine block heater and fuel jelling up. Not to mention the much heavier Diesel engine will cause your Liberty not to go as well in mud conditions.

      @@mechanicsteve2320 yes we have a plan for all of that. Thankfully, the VW tdi's arent much heavier, and we will likely do a SAS on the KJ at the same time, so it'll be able to hold the weight and have a stronger axle to do so!😎
