Omg YES the acotar series should be animated!! I was feeling the same, I’m like you cannot live up to these expectations I have of certain characters with actors 🫣 I just want them to take the book and copy paste that into a an animated series.
Love this video! I relate so much to not having a lot of friends/family who are regular readers! So often I just want people in my everyday life to chat books with. So I definitely come to BookTube for that fill! Also love your answer about trying a bunch of different books in a slump. My process for dealing with it is to check out 5-6 books from the library that are all pretty different and read a chapter of each one until something sticks :)

I completely agree with your opinion about the ACOTAR series needing to be an animated series cause like it jsut makes sense and CGI could let us down so much if it was live action and all the winnowing would look weird if it wasnt animated I think. Fully agree about acotar coming to screens. Like if absolutely has to become a tv show or movie then fine. But I feel like it takes away the magic of the series idk. I love the world that’s created in the pages and I feel like nothing will do it justice if it’s recreated. Like there’s no male actor who is going to live up to Rhys I’m sorry 😂. I feel like it’s going to be turned into something cringey or it’s not going to be as amazing as it is in the books. Like the connection between readers when it comes to this series is special and if you wanna come in to this world then just read the books
my favorite series the mortal instruments but acotar is a close second...yea a book is meant to be read lol...I normally do paperback bc it was cheaper but new releases are always hardback...I was in a book slump back in the summer time...lol I dont think anyone has friends in real life that reads

Yeah I totally agree that the ACOTAR series would only work on screen if it’s animated not just bc it’s impossible to cast the characters & make everyone happy but it would also be so hard to not make the set look cheap & cheesy unless they have GOT type budget
My best friend has always been a reader but she prefers more historical or classics or more straight up fiction where I read indie romance, and very popular fantasy and thrillers. But I have word vomited about ACOTAR in the middle of the night texts while she’s asleep, and now I have her thinking she wants to read it. #win Bought my sister-in-law a Kindle for Christmas (gave it to her in November because I’m not a monster) and she only reads books about business and being better to work for and self help. #fail I’d trade them both in for different versions but I just love them both too much. I do think there’s so many of us out here without real life bookish reading friends that it’s why niches on the internet for book communities is so popular. We’re all just looking for likeminded people.
