Superb video. Would have been complete had you covered the 2G ethanol also in detail which can be produced from the agri wastes like rice and wheat straw.
Country's energy requirment can't be dependent on rain..... Plus india will face severe water scarcity in future... Government should not ignore this
bhai bamboo solution ho sakta hai, water efficient or green cover increase me bhi kam ayega, maintennace bhi low hai
E15 petrol should be priced below the normal petrol to increase its usage.
Also ethanol production should be increased by issuing energy bonds and research & innovation.
Sugarcane is not the only crop from where you can produce ethanol..

Crude oil is not just about petrol and diesel it has more then 10 of petrol chemical products
It reduce dependence of transportation if we reach to atleast 50 percent ethnol
Sugar, rice are water intensive crops
We can use corn.also there is no shortage of organic waste in India.
I think Carbon Neutral E-Fuel might be the way to go . Although the technology is at its initial phases Porsche has developed this technology , It produces the same result as ethanol and it won't harm the market in any way in the long run (especially when there is a food crisis) !
Its produced from grains. Which requires water and also depending upon food demand ethanol production will have a limit. Food demand, available land and water shortage are the factors that can limit it's production. Utilizing stubble for bio fuel sounds a better idea. That can also be used in hydrogen production.
Ethenole from food crops 👎
Ethenole from sea weeds and algae 👍
No, Sea weeds and algee are the main source of oxygen for earth
@@YugalKishoreThakur after making biofuel the waste of sea weeds and algae use as a fertilizer for other sea weeds and algae.
Algae takes just few days to grow it will not take much time like sugarcane and other crops so , production of algae will be continously get from sea.
Sea weeds also take less time then crops so farming of algae and sea weeds is easy if we compare with crops
.
@@testingk410 yes you are right if we cultivate and harvest sea moss in ristricted area but if we only harvest natural sea moss than it will be disastrous
After ethanol blending fuel price will still remains the same Rs 100.
How ?
yaha chd. mai blended petrol mil raha hai, par price is still same@@silentstormstudio4782

Depends on government if they reduce tax on it.
Both state and center government are responsible for tax on fuel.
It is a good achievement to minimise air pollution by the use of ethanol and also do cost cutting of petrol.
Cost reduction? Forget it. Did prices fall with e10?
गडकरी जी is great man.....
Excellent presentation 👏
We must look into the case study of Brazil ....their ethanol economy since the 90s.... have faced many ups and downs...we should avoid the mistakes they made
We should diversify our alternative fuels.
Very informative
Biofuel win win situation hai india ke liye. Agriculture ko boost milega sath hi manufacturing sector aur government ki spendings bhi kam hongi. Sath hi nature friendly ecosystem banega. Har tarah se achha hai.
Reduced cost of E20 compared to Regular petrol is necessity to encourage more people . Only environmental moral lectures aren’t practical❤
Excellent 👌👌👍💗
Jab ethanol banate h uss samay bhi co2 ka emmission hota h. This is called anaerobic respiration
Khana ka daam badh jayega aur agar agriculture fail Hua to bhukmari pe aajayega. Ethanol is a major gamble and can directly hit your food security. We already have water problems and these crops as well as the alcohol making process is water intensive.
I hope it would not lead to food and water security.....I think hydrogen fuel would be better
Ethanol will help increase farmers' income.
What about we grow sugarcane in areas like Bihar, Assam, and other areas which are flood prone areas, so that it would not lead to water security..👀👀
@@gyaneshsuman6599 yes anyways farmers in north are more concerned with MSP than their water table.
Ethanol is also produced by remains of food crops that are not edible and usually go towards burning or animal feed . It wont effect food supply in any ways instead reduce wastage
India should produce casava instead of sugarcane. Ethanol can be achieved through casava as well. Also, casava required less fertile and moist soil.
Who is missing those days... I wish I was also born in the same era...
Ethanol demand will dry ground water level further down..
We have many Ethanol plant's in Durban, distilling alcohol. We used to use Union petrol in the Fifties 😢
Brazil me kab se chal Raha hai..iske negetive parinam bhi hai ..
Govt to identify extra sugarcane cultivation area purely for Ethanol production with desi cow based natural farming ZBNF.. Aluminum air battery vehicles are best option for transport fuel.
Best video till now
Destructive idea

Bihar is world's largest producer of broken rice ...bihar itself provide fuel not only india throughout out world
But mills in bihar are still abundant
Yes bro thats why bihar GDP is 1trillion and comparable to Ohio
informative video........
He should also mention about, ethanol blending effect on current private vehicle engines. If private property of people are suffering then that also should be mentioned.
Agree.
Ethanol can be produced from agriculture waste, food waste and very end waste produced in sugar industry which is molasses...
I think we should focus on solar energy....ethanol fuel can produce scarcity of food and water in our country.....kuch salo k liye to hum ethanol use kr skte h but long term k liye hume koi another source dhundna hoga... so kyo na hum solar energy pr koshish kre
thanks sir
Oil prices will go up further to make up for the volume drops.
Main point to aaya hein petrol ka price kaam hoga future mein ethanol ki vaaja sa ?
Even though this blending happening rapidly but petrol prices still high
How long will that ethanol be a DREAM AND REMAIN A DREAM.....
With solar e vehicles and electric highway will manage
Better to produce from sweet sorgum,Brazil already on 100% ethenol
3rd generation ethanol jo parali se bnaya jata hai. Uske bare me kuch btaiye.
Konsi parali
@@user-uo3zg4ui9t rice stubble. 3rd generation ethanol is made from crop residue.
Government & people will Concentrate on Nature of India is A1 ,Rain fall will also A1
Steps needed
Diversification of energy basket
Ie hydro, solar, wind, nuclear, hydrogen, ethanol, waste to energy
It os only to look for more and more energy. But lifestyle for environment is most important too. Means to adopt a life style which can put down our energy needs to low level.
ie- how to make your house which needs low energy cool and many so
We need to bounce directly to Electric. We have abundance of solar energy. In china buses, trucks, trains, cars, and bikes are electric now. As we didn't go for Subways directly jumped to metros, in the same sense we need to directly jump to electric and hydrogen fuel.
Ethanol can be added only 10% to 15% in to the petrol. NHV of ethanol is half of petrol so the fuel economy of ethanol if used 100% then it will be half of 100% of petrol.
So ethanol is not the perfect solution.
If hybrid (petrol plus electric) cars are used fuel economy will be doubled. Braking power and momentum are used in charging battery of hybrid cars. Let’s move in the right direction.
How much petrol and diesel is used for the production of ethanol? I am searching for a mathematical comparison. i doubt if we are spending more petrol to produce less ethanol
V good
I have doubt can't we produce ethanol from bamboo ???
Honeymoon days for gulf countries ending soon, many small countries suffered a lot, a good time for everyone come one fine day, its universal truth
Bamboo ethanol is the most green ethanol that we ca produce
Seaweed?
Good
Its not only the price. But it's about availability of required quantity of ethanol . That's impossible. Only solar, wind and tidel are the main source to replace petroleum. Nuclear power may be another supporting source. Production of Hydrogen also needs electricity.
Ethanol comes from sugarcane which is water exhaustive crop, If these types of crop are grown on large scale will result in draught like condition, remember we just have 4% of total ground water and 17% of total population. This is destructive idea, please someone teach the government.
Think School reference?
I hope they find a good balance and solve the fuel problem and lower the cost of travel in every category
We should focus on hydrogen power।
@@sumeetpandey6521 it's something we have no control over
Go and study some more details about G1 , G2 etc. Ethenol. People in government are much talented specially Nitin gadkari ji.
Our gov is not forcing to increase production of sugarcane, we have surplus amount of stock og wheat waste and sugarcane we not not able to convert them all to ethanol.
Not ethanol but smart use of solar energy can surely do that.
This also means that farmer income will increase.....God bless Nitin gadkari.
And what about engine destruction from ethanol
And engine life will reduce!
Nitin Gadkari capable for PM Post
Just imagine the amount of ethanol that India requires to produce.
Please add timestamps
kya ethenol se bs3 ya bs4 gadiya avrage nahi degi kya

What happened to Jammu lithium?
Bharat dunia 40% chawal niryat krta hai jiska upyog hm ethanol banane me kr sakte hai
2nd, 3rd and 4th generation biofuels can help in solving these issues. Additionally, along with ethanol we also need to concentrate on the biogas to reduce the dependence on imports of natural gas
Ethanol only from sugarcane ? No other source ? Any resreach ?
Ethanol is produced from multiple crops (in sugarcane it is byproduct, so can’t be overproduced):
Ethanol, a type of alcohol, can be produced through various methods, primarily involving the fermentation of sugars by yeast or other microorganisms. Here are the main means through which ethanol is produced:
### 1. **Fermentation of Sugars:**
- **Corn-Based Ethanol:** Corn is crushed and then fermented by yeast to produce ethanol. This method is prevalent, especially in the United States.
- **Sugar Cane-Based Ethanol:** Sugar cane is crushed, and the juice is extracted. Yeast ferments the sugar juice to produce ethanol. Brazil is a significant producer of sugar cane-based ethanol.
- **Cellulosic Ethanol:** This type of ethanol is made from cellulose-rich biomass sources such as agricultural residues, wood chips, and municipal solid waste. Special enzymes break down cellulose into sugars, which are then fermented into ethanol. Cellulosic ethanol is considered more sustainable as it utilizes non-food crops.
### 2. **Fermentation of Starch:**
- **Potato-Based Ethanol:** Potatoes are crushed and then fermented to produce ethanol. This method is used in some regions and for specific types of alcoholic beverages.
- **Wheat-Based Ethanol:** Wheat grains are processed and fermented to create ethanol. This process is similar to that used for corn-based ethanol.
### 3. **Hydrolysis of Starch to Sugars:**
- **Barley-Based Ethanol (Used in Brewing):** Barley grains are malted, where starches are broken down into sugars. These sugars are then fermented by yeast to produce ethanol. This method is commonly used in the brewing industry.
### 4. **Chemical Synthesis:**
- **Synthetic Ethanol:** Ethanol can be produced through chemical synthesis methods, including the hydration of ethylene, a petroleum-derived compound. However, this method is less common and not as environmentally friendly as biological methods.
### 5. **Algae-Based Ethanol:**
- **Algae Fermentation:** Algae can be genetically engineered to produce ethanol. Algae consume sunlight, carbon dioxide, and nutrients to produce sugars through photosynthesis. These sugars can then be fermented into ethanol. Algae-based ethanol is considered a promising source due to its high growth rate and potential for large-scale production.
### 6. **Hybrid Processes:**
- **Integrated Biorefineries:** Some facilities integrate multiple processes to produce ethanol. For example, a biorefinery might combine traditional fermentation with chemical processes to maximize ethanol production efficiency.
### 7. **Electrochemical Processes (Emerging Technology):**
- **Electro-Fermentation:** Researchers are exploring electrochemical methods where electricity is used to drive the fermentation process, potentially making ethanol production more energy-efficient.
Sugarcane based ethanol is not sustainable in the long run. We need to go to stage 2 and, more importantly, stage 3 biofuels. Also, we need to concentrate on the production of biogas, which can help to reduce the dependence on imports of natural gas.
Brazil is already using ethanol blended fuel.
If India farmer have to come out of dept trap and suicide alternate demand for agricultural products has to be created this is the only means by which Indian farmers can survive .
It will deplete the ground water level , sugarcane is water exhaustive crop. We are already have less than 4 percent of ground water for vast population.
Bio Fuel is the future

Oh bhai shab ethanol har country ke paas hai . I am living in Australia last 14 years and they had long time ago . I seen ethanol last 14 years. Bhai India mein abhi aya Hoga ethanol. That’s why you r so excited. Ye bhut Purani technology hai. Bez of you people everyone laugh on India
Your laugh makes us successful and powerful 🇮🇳
Bharar me b 2003 se hi use ho raha hai
Too abbi tak oil ko replace kru nahi kar paya ethanol ha par mass production and vehicle efficiency ko bhi dhan rakhna padta ha
Ethanol generators should be launched immediately
At this moment, india should focus on making hybrid cars... We should have cars which can go 100 km purely on battery, but should also have a small fossil fuel engine, incase the car has to be taken to long journey.
90% Times people only commute 50-60km a day.. and can charge their cars at home easily, preferably with solar energy.
This will not only bring down the cost of the cars, but will serve as almost zero emmision cheap replacement for traditional ICE cars.
Ethanol can be done simultaneously.
Electric jaada behtar hein
Neither Ethanol nor Hydrogen is going to disturb Gulf in medium term. But EV have that potential. India has enough Lithium and Cobalt. So we can be powerhouse in EV. Solar panel can get electricity almost free of cost.
Kab banega ?
