You missed few points in your last video about wrestlers. Those wrestlers are senior sportsman and they don't want other young talents to come, and the new government rules say national competition will decide who will play international. But They want direct international entry. They basically want nepotism in sports. This will harm young talents and that's why we don't get gold medals much. End nepotism in sports.
I lived in Australia for 10 years. Was paying around 28% tax but believe me I never regret it. Why? Government covered my all medical bills, roads were amazing, whenever I go to any government department for my work, they attend me from the door itself, keeps me updated and give me the respect I deserve as tax payer. Update: appreciate the people who liked the comment. Also, for those who are asking me not to compare india with Australia because of population etc. listen to me, I am not comparing guys, I am highlighting what we should demand from our government. I agree many things will take time in india but the way government employees treat us in government offices, specially poor or middle class have you seen it? I have seen it. It looked like I am begging their service. This one is not related to population right? As a tax payer we should also know what we should demand. That’s all.
We don't pay taxes to the government because govt doesn't give us these services....even if we pay taxes, we still have to pay for all other stuff Vaise bhi we are paying GST !
Government covers all medical bills of parliamentarians and ministers here Do you have any problem? These people are our gem 💎 Without those hardworking, incorruptible ministers indian can't even be run for 1 day
Most of the youtube couples were busy at posting their vlogs, family stories, but u guys are so responsible and trying to teach something to this society..Hats off u both
India only this much government tax and motor department RTO road tax this much and half of the cars price , this is very bad no other country do this , we should stop this before people pointing government
Countries like Sweden, Finland, Norway impose high taxes but they give free (very Affordable) education and health. That's why people in that country are not obsessed with high taxes.
When you are paying taxes for the services then how is it "free" ? You would have got a better service if you were to pay for these services as and when required ,like any other normal service.
I wouldn’t call the basic education free. The taxes are super high and that is what goes in the education system. Once the student starts going to college..the cost rises like crazy. On an average a higher degree costs around 50/60k. Nothing is free bro ..nothing ..😃😃😃
Look at the condition of Pakistan. Only 1% population pays tax . The super rich 5% business mafias don't pay any tax and even manage to secure subsidies for themselves through various bills in the parliament. Politicians and government employees don't pay tax infact enjoy perks like free electricity and free petrol .The army itself is involved in many fields of economy which further corrupts the system and nobody cares about anybody at any level of the society. The upper class of Pakistan never cared about improving infrastructure or building new ways to generate income ,they didn't care about ending inequality or ending societal corruption and today their whole system has collapsed. Poor people are recieving electricity bills in 30 to 40k a month , petrol and other prices have gone through roof . And their elite are giving perpetual blow jobs to IMF. Those who laugh at Pakistan should know india has a lot of similar problems. Pakistan is a great case study for the Indian government to what to do in the next 5 years to avoid such a situation.
When I started earning in 2006 I claimed no rebate from income tax, even though I was investing in PF and LIC. I was proud thinking I am contributing to my nation's progress. Then I saw my office caterer made about 25K a week and my PG owner made made 1.5 lakhs a month yet they didnt pay any tax. And one day I lost my cell phone and went to police station to file a complaint. I was made to wait for 3 hours, I was frustrated to see the jobless tapories of my area being treated better than me by police. Now I do pay tax but only because I am forced to and there is no other way out.
Then who is forcing you to pay taxes, don't work, stay poor, and stay content. Just like the majority of your indian brothers who are living that life. Second option is to join politics. People who are earning more than 15 lakhs, come in top 1% of this country. And still they will say they don't want to pay tax. And believe me if you decide to leave your job, there are 200 people who are willing to do your job at half the pay, and with the same productivity.
@@ultra_sharp if government have this outlook towards taxpayers. They will prefer leaving country. And we will loose some of top minds. Agreed everyone need to pay tax but this responsibility needs to shared more. And government should not waste it on subsidies . Needy do not get benefits of subsidies in india it’s powerful.
The truth: I am a software engineer, and i uses to pay 2 to 3 lacs income tax every year. Due to bad road conditions and inexperienced truck drivers, i couldn't even get proper 7 hours of night sleep. I tried complaining to the municipality couple of times, but never got a fixture. I got an opportunity to leave the country where i get what i pay for, so i opted for it. Now i work in North Carolina, and its really nice here. 🙂
This is the disadvantage of such a huge population. Standard of living will never be at par with developed countries and poor will remail poor. 30% direct taxation is crazy in India... Government or this country doesn't deserve it
@Young Bengal Nothing is freebies, a poor people also pay indirect taxes a lot in every purchases, just think about a delivery man who buys a 1 lakh rs bike and pay around 9000 rs as taxes and then for fuel everyday he pays around 300-350 rs of taxes to the government ( for 5-6 liter fuel) and then again indirect taxes on each and every grocery purchases/medicines/phone bill and all. don't be a brainwashed fool, inspite of having 0 salaried income each and every person pay around 15-20% of their total income for indirect taxes so they deserve some food ration & subsidies from the government
They're focusing on one thing and that is highway infrastructures, but how many people use highways regularly? you may say that the goods will reach their destinations earlier but then again think about the crazy high taxes on fuel prices, almost 50% and more in some states. nowadays it becomes impossible to live a month with having a of salary 30k rs for a 3-4 person family
@@arghyadeep5738 family badhana band karo. I understand this doesn't seem logical but it is. Because our population is uncontrollable and no matter who's fault, middle class will always have to suffer. That's an unsaid rule. Rich people buy the govt and poor people are in large number toh vote bank ke liye fayda. Which is why govt has got no genuine interest in middle class.
For salaried employees it is like. Bhai job karoge toh tax bharoge. Grow karoge toh jyada tax bharoge. Promotion and hike ki khushi honey se zyada insaan tax calculation me ghus jata hai.

Please can you analyze how gst should be more than growth rate If india is earning 8% then why should I pay more than that. In such case one day all my savings will be zero and india government will be the richest government in the world
After middle class population getting a good job and salary. Few basic services should be provided by the govt. Sad thing is only politicians and powerful people get such privileges and tax paying middle class citizens gets nothing.
In my opinion I thought our constitution should be little bit changed . IAS should be the PM of our country . All the IAS who are retired and want to become the PM of our country should give a exam and 3 or 4 IAS who was the most intelligent and can handle all types of situations will be asked to stand in elections and who will got more vote by the people will be the prime minister (PM) of our country and I think this will bring a major change in our country .
@@sasmitafacts4153 Very true, constitution needs few amendments like these. And the UPSC qualified people should be given more power. They will definitely administer well.
@@sasmitafacts4153 this will limit a person from becoming a pm or a representative of people in short it destroyes equality as you will not give equal acess to people for repsentation and close the powerful position in the goverment to educated and rich.
Basic services are a Joke, even in a City like Gujarat's Ahmedabad, if a dog bites you and u go to a Government hospital to get the treatment which should be free and is free, the staff will treat you in such a way that even a poor person would avoid facing it. Even today if in any domestic case Police help is called for, they come and in a way just mock the situation and doesn't even put it on the paper. But for sure loots the couples on riverfront in the name of 'No romance in public' doing which is against constitutional rights of a person but they do it. And No wonder why someone who comes from middle class background and has secured his future always tries to Move to another country where they get Value for their tax payments.

I moved to the USA 40 years ago and noticed that the issues they faced in India back then are still prevalent today. India continues to grapple with the same problems. Unless the culture of favoritism, naukarshahi, and political influence is eradicated, the situation will remain unchanged.
I've paid taxes in India close to decade working in corporates yet never got to see my money being worth it. After I moved to Canada, I've realized that the tax is considerably high but then again I'm more than happy to pay it considering the infrastructure and the transparency by which the government handles the funds efficiently. I'm quite certain that, by the next decade our nation would inculcate values such as social security and tax management on a better note.. Hope those government offices where lazy officials slack on the job get performance reviews and get sacked if not working good enough for our people.
NO govt officials will never improve unless they have the fear of being FIRED...plus most govt officials are reserved candidates who are always on REVENGE MODE...u can think if someone is getting a job just by getting 40-50 marks & 80-90 marks candidates are not selected how can u expect better services from them??? & throughout their lives, they HATE upper castes & due to that they never apply their brains in productive work...they apply their brains on harassing people around them intentionally
Govt employees are good, they are the smartest chunk of india but politicians who run these govt employees are 8th fail, 10th fail students and they will never allow an IIT, IIM and MBBS pass out person to dictate what is right and what is wrong. So better choose educated and more educated politicians who can have their vision and do something for welfare It’s always better to go for educated and corrupt than non educated and non corrupt.

If rich are taxed too much , they have money , they'll move to other countries with their business. Meanwhile middle class don't have money to run somewhere else . And poors don't have anything to eat , how will they pay tax . So logic is simple , middle walo ko hi maro 😂😂 .
If person earn 1 crore they have to pay 30% of earning that is 30lakh. But if they want to tax free then they give 85 lakh donation to any political party and take 82-83 lakh black money in cash . Then they have to pay tax on 15 lakh that is only 2-3lakh.🎉 But but if Income officer raid held then you have to go jail and pay 100% tax that is 1 crore 😂😂😂😂😂
I paid 30% tax in Britain the country of taxes, but every pence taken by the government was worth it. Extremely good roads, literally the moment paint faded, Maintainence crew immediately fixed it. Cities and towns are brilliantly planned, rules and regulations are very strictly enforced using modern technology. CCTV cameras really help. Good NHS although, it can be improved. There is amazing coordination between different departments of the government with a very strict process and checklist so I never saw someone digging the road right after it was freshly laid. I’m a great patriot of India but I will leave it without any doubt if I get a chance again as I’ve lost hope from the government and system. This is the most dangerous aspect for any nation, ‘loosing hope in the government and system’ . I have one life and it’s my decision to live it abroad. Of course. You can leave or stay in India as per your choice. The foreign countries are very eager to have Indian workers cause we are very hardworking and we'll demand less salary compared to their native residents.

This is such a serious topic that i was so eager to look forward to. Its such a cruel law, in my family, theres barely any extra money due to such high tax rates. Edit: I do not think that it is a cruel law but just an awful system for middle class people. According to my family circumstances, it has been cruel. I feel that in our country there should be a higher percentage for people paying the tax since people want India to be like any European country you’d heard of yet they don’t look forward to co-operate. I don’t blame the society completely however I suppose government needs to show sort of efforts too. It’s either the lower-class that receives its needs or the upper-class who gets their wants, both fulfilled by the government. Do feel free to remind me about any mistakes or corrections. Abhi and Niyu. I am an honest tax payer in India and have been treated like a slave in my own country. Abused by corporate companies to the point of crying and abused by finance companies for not paying a small EMI because my salary was on hold for 1 month. I am pretty much aware of what you are saying and making people aware of the tax payers situation in this country. However if this country really did care about the honest tax paying individual, they would have created reforms a long time ago. As far as Indians moving to other countries and paying taxes - They pay taxes because the Government of these countries provide them free social security, free healthcare, unemployment insurance and many other perks. We - the abused tax payers are servants of our own country, have elected people who act like they own us. But there is no point in saying all this, because change happens from a mindset - which unfortunately will never happen in India.
In foreign country govt atleast treats people as human and in our own Country if we want to start a small shop small business then every govt dept tries to harrass and loots for each and every documentation, without bribery not possible to get any faciltiy and Police and Govt Hospitals treats people like Street Dogs

Education in Canada is expensive as well. The only thing that Canada has is that you are able to take a loan provided that your parents don't earn well over $100,000. So it depends on what your parents earn but sadly the gora culture is that they are not all attached to their kids because they usually let them go once they are over 18 and tell them to earn for themselves so not all kids get this benefits because they can't take a loan because their parents refuse to help them.

Solution oriented content - wonderful initiative 👏👏👏 Very well researched, written and presented. Income tax payers as a percentage of population sounds a bit skewed. It would be interesting to see the demographics of household income and tax paid - both direct and indirect.
Let's be realistic. India will never be a developed country in it's lifetime. Even if India grows, it will get stuck in the middle income trap forever. India will also face major resource shortage due to overpopulation and face the wrath of climate change. India's resource base isn't large enough to support an economy too large either. Also the West and China can sabotage India in a jiffy if it grows too much. Also most Indians don't have unity and are still backward minded and tribalistic. Corruption and being unethical has become so deep rooted that it's become impossible to fix it. Also, the number of talented Indians leaving India is increasing at an alarming rate every year and many of these Indians who left India brag about India being the next big thing which is extremely comedic. To conclude, India may improve in some areas, but it always stay a corrupt 3rd world uncivilized sh8hole. Hence, forget your dreams of being a developed country pa jeet. India is an utterly failed experiment. Adios

I want to point that even though countries like Sweden,Norway, Iceland etc charge 55% or more taxes you actually get its benefit. Every citizen get free education, free healthcare, free electricity, students & unemployed get allowances etc. So these countries higher taxes really are not that high because almost everything is provided by government for free

You totally forgot about the surcharge. The maximum income tax in India is not 30% but 37%. It used to be 42%, but the maximum surcharge slab has been reduced in this budget. After the 37%, people still need to pay all the GST and service taxes, making their overall tax burden far more.

You should make your next video on the great Indian brain drain. I am on my way soon to work as a physician in the USA. And as much as I love my hometown and my India, it pains me to realise that my country was the one to push me away. My grandparents and parents served in the armed forces, they still pay their due tax but still their children could not study medicine at the institutions their money actually helps run while those of the reserved class have the privilege of studying free because of the taxes our families paid for years. The Indian middle general class, with big dreams and hardwork but not enough money to pay for private colleges are the most oppressed by the government here. We may seem like a small number in 1.4 billion but carry a huge economic prowess. Me and my wife will leave soon like so many of our colleagues and high skilled professionals.

That’s all.
Please calculate the ratio of Australian tax payers and total population and compare with Indian Tax payers and Indias total population,

Countries like Sweden, Finland, Norway impose high taxes but they give free (very
Affordable) education and health.
We can't compare with other countries since we have huge population
So, why indian government fails to do so. What is your say?
Sad but true. I always regret staying in India thinking the country will change and improve.
This is called HARSH REALITY. 😮

Then who is forcing you to pay taxes, don't work, stay poor, and stay content. Just like the majority of your indian brothers who are living that life. Second option is to join politics.
People who are earning more than 15 lakhs, come in top 1% of this country. And still they will say they don't want to pay tax.

Verry true bro
NO govt officials will never improve unless they have the fear of being FIRED...plus most govt officials are reserved candidates who are always on REVENGE MODE...u can think if someone is getting a job just by getting 40-50 marks & 80-90 marks candidates are not selected how can u expect better services from them??? & throughout their lives, they HATE upper castes & due to that they never apply their brains in productive work...they apply their brains on harassing people around them intentionally
First politicians should be sacked since they are big scammers
Govt employees are good, they are the smartest chunk of india but politicians who run these govt employees are 8th fail, 10th fail students and they will never allow an IIT, IIM and MBBS pass out person to dictate what is right and what is wrong.
So better choose educated and more educated politicians who can have their vision and do something for welfare
It’s always better to go for educated and corrupt than non educated and non corrupt.

As a CA student I would like to add that the 7lakh( namely 115BAC) just to confuse you, as it is only applicable to the new tax regime, which has many lesser deductions as compared to the old tax regime with 5 Lakh rate, so even if you are getting 2 lakh benefit you'll loss so many deductions that benefits gained would be much much lesser than those gained...
new tax regime us better when your salary is above 24 LPA.
After that the deductions dont matter at all.

Correct sir🫡 deductionS can only save UPTO 30% of your
CLAIMED DEDUCTION U/S 80C TO 80U....
Example 80C(MAX LIMIT 1.5LAKHS)
Suppose:-
Your earning GTI(INCOME)=10LAKH(ANNUAL)
WITHOUT DEDUCTION -->TTI=10LAKHS YOU HAVE TO PAY TAX around 1,12,500+4%cess(as per old slab rates).....
With deduction:-
YOUR CLAIM-->(100,000)80C DEDUCTION now your tti= 900,000rs(taxable income)
Now your tax= 92,500+4%cess
As u can see you 😀 save tax by 20,000
Which is 20% of your claimed deduction (100,000).....
Sorry sir....😅gyanbaazi ke liye baccha hu :)

Glad someone made this video on such a important topic.
The common discussion I hear with people I work with is how can they leave India and settle abroad for better opportunity.
We have no problem paying 30% tax but in return you literally grt thenga…
And this is also our India where people are sick but still make videos for us
Edit: Thank you Abhi and Niyu
My daughter always grumbling that she has to pay tax of nearly 2-3 lacs but in return govt has failed in providing basic amenities like good roads, clean drinking water &traffic jams in banglore where she stays. During rainy season, power disruption is common. So, our country is still DEVELOPING COUNTRY & not DEVELOPED COUNTRY.
If it's developing country than tax like developing country. Government us taxing like developed country and giving facilities like under-developed country.
Irrespective of any political party. They all are same.
Kudos for making a video on such a relevant topic. Salaried People pay taxes but hardly know what to expect.
Hi Sir, tax should be taken not only from farmers earning more than 10 lakh profit yearly but also from medicals, doctors and private schools.
Yes, it should be
And he is saying the same
Yes sir , i am a doctor working in govt hospital and paying tax every year plus not paid as per my dutues
What about politicians who earn lakhs from their farm houses. They never pay a pie as tax.
Doctors already pay taxes, wtf are you talking about
@anshumansahoo4869 doctor take fees in cash and evade taxes...same applies to lawyers
Thanks Abhi and Niyu for great and informative video. Kindly make this as series for how honest tax payers can save money even after paying taxes by covering the various section of our country's tax system. Keep up the good work.👍
Good Reaserch sir, koi ta iskey bare mein question uthaya hai, Thanks. 👏👏👏
Love all the series that you people make, you explain complex topics very simply and in an interesting way, this is a huge problem in India, we need to tax more people and rich farmers too and there's a need for stricter laws regarding tax evasion
Yes, you're right. Even I pay taxes but do not see any facilities. It's very disappointing. And a great motivation of settling in abroad
Well said!
This is why we evade taxes in India.... Because we don't get any services from the govt

As mentioned medical emergencies can turn into a nightmare for many middle class people. But also to note that hospitals and medical professionals are the loop holes for taxes, where they ask to pay in cash, charge additional amounts, Doctors i dont know they pay tax but still can buy a BMW?. Today the quality of treatment is also not as per what the poor people pay for their loved one's. A topic that needs to be looked into..
Hahhaahha

Great work !! Proud to be Indian but when it comes to basic needs (Education, Medical, Law) I still think let's move to Abroad. Can you please make a video on Education ? Education cost is very high, load on students and parents are very high. After paying this much money to school and college, there is no certainty that their future is secured or not.
Apparently you would require 15 20 lakhs to get admission in a foreign university like one in Canada , you need 15 to 20 lakhs to complete your studies from a good college in such a country.
@@RonnyS.1900 In India you need to pay thousands (lakh for upper standards)of Rs for your child from LKG. After 15 years of school education, you need to pay for universities as well. In India if you want to study in good universities IIT IIM VIT you need to pay 20 lakhs. And point to be noted here is you earn in Rs not in $.
@@mittalpatel6887 education is very cheap only in nordic countries . Even developed countries like japan ,south korea ,US and Singapore have very costly education.

Thanks for such an informative, eye-opening video. In INDIA honest tax payers have to pay 2-3 months salary as IT, which has resulted in so much frustration among the salaried people, whereas, private businessmen and rich farmers are evading IT. So, my suggestion for improvement -1) Only 1 month salary should be deducted from employees whose income is above tax slab, everybody will easily agree ,.2) Income Tax limit should be increased upto 1 cr./annum 3) By collecting Indirect Taxes only ,thank you.😀

I still feel hopeless for our country. this tax abuse is happening at a very large scale from local businessmen to MNCs. How can we stop it?
Man iam doing college to get job just to pay such taxes for nothing iam fked
