- A very interesting and unique Seiko has rejoined my collection. This is the SLQ009 - otherwise known as the titanium Seiko Sportura Kinetic Chronograph.  I originally purchased this watch in 2001 and it just recently rejoined my collection after letting it go over a decade ago. I just got this watch back from an expensive Seiko Service - new capacitor installed. 
In this video I want to highlight the features of this very special watch… including the 9T82 Kinetic movement manufactured by Grand Seiko, the innovative style, and the quality construction of this watch making it worth owning and servicing.

You can’t go wrong with a high end Seiko chronograph. They do the best quartz-based movements in the world. The kinetic is a cool piece of tech.
I wish Seiko planned for future capacitor replacement without needing full disassembly. Tsk Tsk - shame on you Seiko. 😜
Hearing “Pulled out my checkbook” was a Time Machine moment which is appropriate for a watch that looks like the instrument panel of a 50’s sci-fi rocketship. Congratulations Patrick on scratching your nostalgia itch.

I got the brand new version of it. SFJ009 limited edition panda (solar) And im loving it. I never took it of my wrist since the day i bought it. I wish i have that kinetic version of it. I love weird case watches so much 😂
In the long run you’ll greatly prefer the solar. The kinetic movement requires a very costly repair at least every 10 years. I would love if they made a version that looks similar to the previous version with a new movement. That would be excellent.

Они шикарны! Вы счастливчик! У меня тоже есть кинетик SLQ015 и я их просто обожаю, очень необычные часы! Я бы хотел их переиздание, но на калиьре типа 9F но с зронографом естественно!
Поздравляю с SLQ015. Такие классные часы. Мне бы хотелось увидеть современную интерпретацию механизма 9F.
That chronograph click is very crisp!
I’ll probably only hear that click once or twice a year. I’m still not a fan of chronographs 😁… But, I do think the layout of this watch makes it fun.

The only watches that are attempting this designs (from what I know) are small brands with high price tags ( justified in some cases like MB&F)
Exactly. Wishing Seiko and other brands started being more inventive.
I have a SNL029P2 bought 2012 just needing a service now, only holds about 15 days charge.
I remember that dial. I love all the innovative dials that Seiko makes.

What's your opinion on Chinese tourbillon oblvlo?
I never heard of the brand. I just checked them out… The watches don’t look that bad. But, I don’t think they’re actually tourbillons. They call them tourbillons… But that look like a regular balances to me. No tourbillon. Still, super cheap price for a pretty nice looking watch.
@@PocketWatchTime there's several cheaper Chinese real tourbillon brands AESOP OBLVLO OUPINKE and few other take a look around. I'm pretty sure they are real tourbillon But haven't had a chance to tear into one yet.
