Something I came across many years ago are the four "C's" attributes of any, every relationship which are "confrontation", "competition", "collaboration", "cooperation", and true cooperation is what most may want. A second idea about relationships is the three states of any and all relationships being "dependence", "independence" and "interdependence" with dependence being like that of the child who is dependent upon the parent for survival, "independence" is when you get a job and move out of your parents home, pay your own bills, and maintain yourself independently, and then there is interdependence which is when two or more independent entities contribute real value to a relationship to a level where survival is dependent upon the other entities consistently delivering their value to the relationship, or there will be real consequences to the other constituent(s) of the relationship. I personally have never come across a relationship that achieved true cooperative interdependence.
It’s called living in denial, as a passive aggressive way to survive deprivation and starvation, to try to remain sane. You’re in the desert knowing you may have 50 miles from civilization, so you reason with yourself, saying, “it’s all right, I don’t need no water, I can get full off the air I breathe!”
I think we need to put things in its proper perspective. Some women may feel that way and there are some who don’t. When I was younger, yes I wanted a family, but I was more focused on creating stability. I did have children and had a husband, but it didn’t work. He left and felt other things were more important than his family. He was 9 years older than me and I assumed he would be more mature in his behavior, but I was wrong. I never went after him for child support. He didn’t care about what he left behind. As a single parent, the children were more important than my wants. I made one attempt at meeting someone but I didn’t want to bring anyone home, I just didn’t think it was right to have a male, even to visit., in my home. I have been happily single for almost 11 years. I’m not bitter at all, I know some are. I went back to school and stayed, since 2009 until this year, obtaining one degree after another, all the way to my second Doctorate. There are other things out here we all can be doing. All 3 of my children graduated school and went to college and I did not have major problems. My girls, I knew how to raise. My son, I was blessed to have several strong, positive men in his life to teach him what growing into manhood was about. As much as I love him, I was not qualified to teach no young boy how to become a man. Final point, think about the possible consequences before we make life altering decisions. Thanks for reading.😊

Reality is men get on child support even if they are paying or not. Lots of states have laws that state if you have a child out of wedlock (not married to the mother ) then you are subject to child support. Women are out here being coached, generation to generation to get on child support. The catch is “it’s what’s best for the child” 😂 the problem is the system and the revenue associated with it.
