I once worked for a company of former teachers who decided to start their own company and read every business book they could find to help them create this business. One book said that when you compliment a worker, you should say something bad about the person's performance first, then give the compliment, then say something else bad so that the worker wouldn't get too big-headed about his/her performance. They did it every time: slam someone against the wall verbally, hand over the compliment, then give another verbal slam. They were essentially gaslighting their employees on a regular basis. The last "real" job I ever had; I found some freelance work and struggled to establish myself as a freelancer. That was 1996. I would never go back into corporate culture. These people were psychos.

Sometimes the arrogant, immature, young person has been there long enough that they aren’t young anymore and sometimes they become leaders.

The problem with doing something you are passionate about and or enjoy is that not everyone else feels the same.

I absolutely have no faith in my leadership/supervisors. I show up every day, do the tasks, am always honest when I understand the task or if something they say to me does not make sense. They give me no communication, hardly respond to emails or messages, and decide to blame me for when things don't go a certain way. I'm 25 and have been in corporate America for 1.5 years; really easy for me to not trust these people and took me early on to figure it out.

The more employee surveys you do, the greater number of complaints go to outside agency.

Would it be possible that with all movies and TV shows showing the young person as the one that saves the company... why wouldn't young people come in with a bias that leadership is to be suspected, and they have all the answers. At least what I have seen.

Gallup only surveys giant companies. By and large, the trends for giant companies are not true for small businesses. I fear nothing.

65% of ALL small businesses fail in ten years - let's stop pretending that small businesses have 'cornered the market' on solid leadership. They haven't.

How about women being inappropriate towards men you left that out? I’ve had it happen and what am I to do so if you’re going to go ahead and bring up some man also bring up the woman aspect of it.

Been a victim of this so many times. But it’s accepted in society so whatever.

Do you investigate to make sure the allegation is true, or do you just assume the woman is telling the truth? "Keep your eyes to yourself" - What does that mean?

So you don’t believe him over her but he’s just wrong. How do you know that that’s what you call lawsuit

Don't let leadership guru's like Dave Ramsey into your organization.
