The only option is now the Ford Mustang but at least all purists still have an option. As for a 4-door, we just have to hope the 4-door sedan variant of the Mustang which Ford has officially considered will enter production. That would fill the Charger’s void for 4-door purists.

I am sorry but the Challenger feel like the same Dodge built in the 60s. While the Mustang and Camaro have evolved over time the Dodge stayed true to its Neanderthal roots. The reason why the Challenger has not been sold overseas is due just that. The average driving enthusiast wants a car that does everything well. It must can go in a straight line and corner well give you a comprehensive driving experience. Sadly the Challenger fails at that.
Oh my goodness break in period this and that and ford up the shooter. Mustangs suck. Ive owned all them and i have a charger rt left over right now bc of the room it gives. Dont ever buy a pos ford. I really liked mustangs till i got a camaro. Its night and day. Break in period is a joke. Ive been a mechanic for almost 15 years and am running a family owned business of over 40 now. We build high performance motors that go onto rpund tracks that run 500 laps. U break in a motor the way u want it to be broke in. Dont pet a motor if u plan on dogging it 1000 miles later give it hell soon as it hits the pavement. That damn car is in warranty anyways so whats it matter? Ford takes everything logic and turns it into junk. All those double over head cams do is make them sound like a v6. Ford use to have the best sounding motors till about 2015 now i cant stand them torqued up. They want yall to buy them ecoboost and 2.3l. Chrysler and dodge is the most dependable hands down. Im not speaking of just owning these vehicles i work on them daily. I raise a family of 4 doing this work i know a thing or 2. Id take that turd back and swap it for a dodge if u want less problems and more miles. Chevy use to be the most dependable until about 1999 to 2000 and their electronic r so far in the past and they dont have any engineers yet to this day can figure out how to make dependable electronics. Weve had so many electrical problems from chevy come in at work its almost a weekly thing people will almost cry when they hear about how much its gonna cost and no garuntee itll last. Dont ever buy a chevrolet after 2000 dont ever buy a ford period and only buy Chrysler if u can afford the maintenance on a Mercedes-Benz. But youll get years in between major problems with dodge and Chrysler. Ford is living in the past trying to be more then they can to show off. Chevy just dont have the right engineers. I still own a camaro the mustang is long gone. A camaro will make u fall in love when a mustang will just break ur heart and ur wallet. If u got the money id suggest buying anything made between 82 and 98

Little recap from video... he owned the car.. they are different.. not really different..muscle car heritage.. sports car.. he owned the car.. they are different.. they are the same..10 speed. and he also owned the car. Different.. same..
I have a 23 gt(10speed, base model, brand new). After a year, ive gotten 8200 miles. Installed corsa extreme cat back xpipes. My only issue, is how the car decelerates. Say im stopping from 30mph slowly, the car jerks a bit and i can feel the transmission kind of lost in the sauce, or maybe somethings wrong with my car.. Still looking to get it fixed. But, i also am suspecting a exhaust leak so that may be the culprit. But, when you use paddel shifters from 1-3 on a straight acceleration, i feel like it shifts a bit jerky.. Someone recommended to just launch off 2nd to avoid the 1st gear jerk, so ive been trying to play with that but dont want to risk messing anything up. Used to get 15 city/24 on the highway, but now im barely scratching 13mpg and 18 on highway if im lucky.. so it might be my exhaust smh. Overall, the mustang has shit throttle response in the low end, so you have to be patient with the gas pedal or youll end up on a viral video hahah.. But once the power band hits, its just pure power from then on.. Only issue is you just need a lot of road for it.. overall experience 1) good power in high end 2) good mileage(can actually road trip this baby, and super comfortable) 3) sounds the best cons 1) might get engine type writer knock/ air leaks /whining noises (super weird) 2) Paint gets rock chips or scratches super easily (my experience - oxford white) 3) Everyone wants to test you on the road.. just got to be the better man/woman and respect others safety
I’m looking at either a mustang or a Camaro for my first car. I’d be getting either a 5 gen v6 Camaro unless I found a 6th under 20k or a newer 2017-2020 ecoboost mustang or a 2015 v6 mustang. What would you recommend? I want it to sound relatively good and be decently fast while still being reliable and having decent gas mileage.
As a basic guide I agree overall (have spent time in an SS, Narrow body Scat Charger, Wide Body Scat Challenger and having owned an s550 Mustang at GT PP1 and Mach 1). They are all great cars at the end of the day. All I will say is that when comparing non Shelby mustangs to comperable Camaros you can feel that the Camaro’s platform is sharper dynamically. It’s a lot more compromised and I didn’t enjoy the LT motor as much as the yote (which is why I’ve owned two 550 5.0s) but I am not gonna go so far as to say they feel the same. Then again I haven’t driven a ZL1 1LE or Mach 1 with Handling pack so maybe the massive tires on both makes them drive much less distinguishably.
Im thinking about getting the mustang. The only question i have is can i put 305s on it so i can have extra grip this is my first time getting a car like this!
I test drove a lot of them before I bought my GT.. And honestly the SS and the Challenger scat felt bigger and more torque down low, but the GT was for me it just felt like the lighter, more comfortable, more nimble, and by far the easiest to see out of. And there's nothing like rev'ing out a Coyote... My good friend has a challenger and it is very nasty for sure.. It's just not for more.. The Mustang S550 was more my taste and I found one with 1 other owner and very low miles..
Bruh I hope you haven't bought that gt charger yet😅 cuz there are a lot of RTs going for less that 32k you better off buying the rt it has enough power for the street and it sounds good. As for me if the car has less than 435 hp stock. I do not want it 😂
I've always been a Aussie GM (Holden) or Mopar guy, but the Mustangs look so much better, and the Coyote engine takes the biscuit. So my next car is going to be my first ford. That green is awesome. The speed game is over with ev's being around, so it's all about how a car feels, looks and sounds. I just wish there were more manuals around. I've had dual clutch and ZF8 boxes, but for a V8 it has to be manual for me. There's something about having a clutch and being able to rev and slip/dump the clutch, that no auto or automated manual can do. So that limits me choice. People say the 6th gen mustangs feel more like a euro sports car, like a bmw M car, than a "muscle car", like the 5th gen mustangs are. Would you agree? I do prefer the look of the 5th gen, and would want to find the later ones that have the 5.0 Coyote and a manual, but I realize the 6th gen is a way more sophisticated car. I'm just not sure i'm after that, as I am not into track times, as I race superbikes. I just want that oldschool feel but with modern reliability. Being able to sit in traffic after hammering it, with out worrying about overheating and having to put as much effort into building the cooling system. I have old V8's but want something as a daily driver, and they are just worth too much to put miles on and risk driving during the morning commute to work. So does the gth gen feel muscle car-esque? or like a modern euro sports car, cos i;ve had plenty of them and i'm not after that feel anymore. I want reliable muscle. Cheers from NZ.
My dream garage line up is, mustang gt convertible. Camero coupe partially the collectors edition as far as trim I don’t think I would really care or want the top level maybe mid something similar to the gt. Next would be dodge challenger hellcat. And Chrysler 300c.
I always personally felt the challenger is useless unless you really wanted the 6-speed or the looks. Otherwise the charger is more practical and slightly quicker because of better aerodynamics (higher speeds). The Camaro/Mustang do the coupe thing better. They are very similar if you just plan to daily and floor it from time to time. Mustang is slightly better because of the larger trunk opening and visibility. But if you plan to track your car at all, the Camaro wins hands down.
Um having owned many challengers, and driven numerous chargers, ane raced plenty of both in each version, the challenger in each trim level definitely takes off quicker, the 200lb less weight difference and different wheelbase make the challenger get going quicker and handle better than the charger
You you begin talking about the mustang and pointing out that the trans holds the gears longer, and had to GOOGLE the redline of the car, which seems like you dont know much about the cars as a "car guy", as much as someone who just purchased cool cars. Most guys know the coyote is a high revving engine so of course the redline will be higher and the power down low wont be as great as the camaro and dodge ... but I'm not done with the vid so maybe I am wrong in my assumption

The point is moot now, but you compared the 2019 Camaro to a 2022 Mustang and said that they were identical, so you were comparing apples to apples. Well, you actually weren't. You compared a vehicle 3 years newer to a vehicle 3 years older... apples to oranges. Transmission aside, if you were comparing power and handling, that comparison is outdated since car companies make annual tweaks to certain vehicles.

Finally got my Camaro (and I was not disappointed) - but the Mustang is the most comfortable for me to drive - but when I want to act a fool, i get in the Challenger - but yea, the Camaro exceeded my expectations
I own camaro ss and hellcat charger the camaro feel tighter better built car the charger is more fun and sound better.🎉
Love the review. Yes, mustang and Camero is very similar. But challenger/charger is way different. Challenger is meant go fast straight line. Mustang/Camero has much better handling and well rounded.
Um….no
@@paleo704if you’re saying no, then you have no idea what you’re talking about.
The only option is now the Ford Mustang but at least all purists still have an option. As for a 4-door, we just have to hope the 4-door sedan variant of the Mustang which Ford has officially considered will enter production. That would fill the Charger’s void for 4-door purists.
Challenger looks way better
Looks and feels are different
Nope
It is my choice. Not a generic mix of new bull crap and old elements. But as pure to the original as can be federally legal. My 15 Srt is comfortable, fast and gorgeous. The 08-11s look the best though. My 13 fantom black rt plus 6 spd was with red 2 tone leather and turned heads better than my B5 Blue does now. Just Awesome all around vehicles
Interior has been the same for 10 years, I had a 15 scat pack looks the same as a 24 scat pack.
Okay monkey
I’d go with the ZL1! 💯
The c8 is the best hands down
Oh my goodness break in period this and that and ford up the shooter. If u got the money id suggest buying anything made between 82 and 98
Thanks for sharing your insights. Much appreciated.
No one trying to read all that, especially when you start out by calling fords a pos when their hemis blow up with or without boost and coyotes run to 300k all day stock and for a long time with boost. Some of us want to be faster, sound better and get better mpg
Have you not seen modern Chevys maybe minus a Vette it’s garbage dodge n mustang is much better then a Camaro
Little recap from video... he owned the car.. they are different.. not really different..muscle car heritage.. sports car.. he owned the car.. they are different.. they are the same..10 speed. and he also owned the car. Different.. same..
Didn't think i would care for the green Mach1 but i seen one in person up close. FINE AF! 👍
Only issue is you just need a lot of road for it.. overall experience
1) good power in high end
2) good mileage(can actually road trip this baby, and super comfortable)
3) sounds the best
cons
1) might get engine type writer knock/ air leaks /whining noises (super weird)
2) Paint gets rock chips or scratches super easily (my experience - oxford white)
3) Everyone wants to test you on the road.. just got to be the better man/woman and respect others safety
@@_xangal thanks for sharing your personal experiences. Thinking your comment will add additional insight for folks cross shopping the cars.
Challenger by far, the only true muscle car left. Best looking, sound the best, most capable drag racing car.
If you want the speed with cheap mods go ecoboost with the 10 speed trans
That's a very nice spec.
Charger >>>>>>>>>>>
As someone looking to buy a charger or mustang I like your video. thinking of getting a charger gt tho. the front end looks amazing,
If ur getting a gt that's just a rental car that gt is just marketing they suck. If ur gonna buy a v6 might as well buy a maw maw car.
Bruh I hope you haven't bought that gt charger yet😅 cuz there are a lot of RTs going for less that 32k you better off buying the rt it has enough power for the street and it sounds good. As for me if the car has less than 435 hp stock. I do not want it 😂
Did you own a Cadillac ct5v black wing ?
which is the best day to day and 16 SS and up are 6.2s
I want a challenger with mustang horsepower..
100% Challenger all day.!!!
I've owned Fords for over 3 decades. 8 Mustangs, 3 Cougars, 3 Lightnings and a new 93 Cobra. Then Sl55amg for 2 weeks, Range Rover and a month with a 17 ss Camaro. The Camaro was the best sports balance. But now a 13 Rt 6spd and the 15 Srt 392 6 spd Challenger. It is the absolute best overall Muscle/Pony to own. Best looks, and compromise between the Rover, Amg , and the 08 Z06 and others I've driven and owned. Challenger for the win!
I’ll take a Camaro or Mustang over a Mopar any day
So whats the difference between a muscle car and sports car? I always thought they're similar.
At 6’5” the Camaro is a perfect height for me, Mustangs are too small, the head room just isn’t there, loved my Challenger, best ride I’d ever taken. I’ve owned 2 Camaro’s and 1 Challenger
you are crazy bro. I am 6'3" and my head touched the ceiling of the camaro the Mustang has WAY better room in it.
@@ryandono5721 not sure how that happened, last Camaro I drove was a rental, mind you it was a convertible, but again, I’ve owned 2 Camaro’s in the past (1978, 1992) and test drive a couple mustangs before buying my Challenger in 2014… barely fit in the mustang. Not to mention, my dad has a Mustang Cobra, and I don’t fit in that without the top down…
@@BK_LEGO_76 I test drove a 2022 zl1 8 months ago. The car is very small. I loved it but that head room is non-existent. And my knees were almost touching the steering wheel. My Mustang is perfect size
I think you jumbled this up. I am 6' 4" and the Camaro was way to confined and my head touched the roof.
I'm 6'5" and have a 6th gen 1LE. My head doesn't touch so that's a stretch. I had an 18gt before that. There's definitely more room in the stang hands down. Both have enough room for big ass Americans
If I could only find a review where the reviewer actually owned the cars.
You’d have to drive at 2022 or 2023 Camaro with the most recent tune to get a very good feel things have changed
Why do you own instead of leasing ?
Yep, in the process of leasing a 2025 Hyundai N
That mustang looks good but those big capt off circles in the front just scream "is couldn't afford this option"
Camaro
what i got from this video is what i’ve always wondered all the time, its all based on user preference, they’re all great american cars
I’ve had trans ams, ‘06 GTO, G8, Camaro, charger , Mustang …just sold ‘22 stang now deciding what to get ..challenger Camaro or new stang or maybe back to s550 having hard time ..but I do get a emolyees family with ford discount
This analysis is ok. Started good but then got repetitive with your main points.
That's a beautiful Mach 1, love the color. Hope that you're enjoying it.
Excellent commentary, honest, unbiased and based on real-world experience 👍🏽
Camaro SS 1LE is the far superior car to all mentioned. And yes like you, I've owned all of them, including the ZL1 1LE track monster.
The Camaro in 1LE form is a world class sports car, its not a muscle car like the Dodge.

Great vid man. This was so objective
Glad you liked it!
Drove a 2012 Challenger 392 for the last 10 years, just got a 2023 Charger Hellcat and I have to say it's nice to have the 4 doors now.
But yeah, both of these cars are boats!
Nice overview - agree with your takes
I love them all!
Side note, the newer model honda accords are HUGE, like a challenger
The definition of a muscle car wold consider all of them muscle cars, the whole notion that the Dodge is the only one is just bullshit at this point
Im sorry but the Charger just looks better than all those cars
Opinion
hell nah
boat
Hell no. Challenger’s the best looking for sure
@@c2petion naw bro Challenger looks like big ass plain boat
Why does the Camaro have such a better track time
I never understood why they made the Charger a 4 door. To me, a 4 door is a family car.
No it’s not are you slow did you ever heard about the Audi rs3
The last true muscle car was the 2014 Mustang. That was the last car that looked like a classic and still had a live rear axle. None of the current cars have the axle which is what actually makes a muscle car a muscle car.
Most of the video is about how similar the Mustang and Camaro are.
No shit nobody cares about no basic common mopar
Yes it will redline at 7400 rpm the coyote motor it’s a high revving motor love it
I don't understand the whole redline thing what ways is it better to have it Rev higher?
The newer mustangs really don't look the part. The 2013/14 years were the best as far as looks go. I'd put it over any of these cars in looks.
Question
Which car did you like?
I feel mach 1
Mustang all day every day 🔥
No brainer for Chargers and Challengers. They're both discontinued from Dodge for EV only for 2024.
You can’t tell how good a car is if you only keep it for a year. Il take the Mustang for long term
The crazy part about all this, despite what everyone believes to be the best, only one continues to survives..maybe that should lend a hint as to what’s the best ALL AROUND vehicle🔵
You don't understand how a business works huh ?
Very similar but the Mustang looks way better then the Camaro ..The camaro looks like a blob..
I like Camaro better
All is better
Charger looks and sounds better than all of them
Agreed
😂😂😂 Didn't you mean to say heavier & slower!
may be true, but it certainly won't last the longest.💩
GT 500 has entered the chat.......
i disagree with the sound a mustang screaming at 7000rpm sounds amazing
I'll take the ss any day
The biggest difference is that the Mustang is way more reliable than the other two…
Never conpare a mustang and a camaro. Everybody and their grandma has owned a mustang. Mustang has always tried to keep up with camaro.
Camaro ZL1 2018 was the fastest track car in germany
The other cars are ok but the real muscle car is the challenger Mopar or nocar
Hell no. That’s hype bro
