I think the challenger is a win. I don’t have to haul anyone around so I enjoy the coupe. That retro look is hard to beat for any muscle car. Yet that sleek look on the charger is definitely gorgeous as well. Bad problem with chargers is usually after they loose a race they end up flashing there lights and pulling you over.

I’ve owned two Challengers (2010 RT and a 2020 RT anniversary edition). And three chargers. (2008 RT, 2007 SRT 8 and a 2006 SRT8). I agree with everything that RacerX has stated. Aesthetically, the Challenger wins. Functionality, there’s no comparison. The Charger wins hands-down. Even though I keep hearing people state that the Challenger has spacious backseats, that’s a myth. If you’re putting a couple of children in the back, you’ll get away with it. If it’s an adult, they’re gonna hate you by the time you get to your destination. As you can see from the dates of the vehicles stated above, I own a challenger, now. I absolutely love the vehicle and I bought it over the Charger For one reason and one reason only, if I have a passenger, it’s only going to be one person. By design.
One note to you younger guys. If you go out and buy a challenger, you WILL Be trading it in when you start a family. Unless, you find a woman like racerX was lucky enough to grab. Your girlfriend will See the vehicle as a single man’s car. If you are a lady that owns a challenger, my phone number is......... lol
Or you can just keep the car and go buy another little used car just because you have a family don’t means you have to trade it in bro unless you broke and can’t get another car

The retro look wins for me, so much so I bought a 2018 Challenger R/T Shaker two weeks ago and I love it. I’ve been wanting one of the new Challenger since they came out in 2008.

I love the retro look of the Challenger, especially the '15+ "facelift" versions...However, it is hard to beat the combination of sleek more contemporary looks along with the 4-door functionality you get with the Charger. There is not another 450+ HP American made 4-door sedan you can buy for less than $60k that looks better than the 392/Hellcat variants of the Charger. Just my .02.

just got an rt challenger. i have a 1500 sierra so i really didnt need 4 doors and thus chose challenger and i couldnt be happier though i would not regret getting a charger. the challenger does look more muscle esk and i prefer that

IKILLEDJESUS that’s your opinion, you like the challenger other people like the charger.
As a Challenger owner, I sometimes drift it on backroads with nobody around. It feels really good hitting a drift in this car, as long as you are safe and know what you’re doing.
Both are my fav but i would go with challenger, but again charger was my first option. Challenger looks mean coming down the street aswell. Really great review loved it.
I love both...was interested in both.....but I like room, the 4 doors, the little bit of extra features (heated rear seats), and the overall look of it (scatpack, SRT body)....Both are cool...but a Sedan where I don't compromise the fun factor is a plus for me.

I’ve been having a really difficult time deciding which of the two I want to buy but what it all came down to for me was that only the challenger has the option of manual transmission. In most other areas, I liked the charger better but that was just a deal breaker for me that you couldn’t get a stick shift one

I started following your channel a few days ago. I love the content. I have a 2020 Challenger R/T with the 6 speed manual. I have a small family, I would of ordered the Charger if it came with a manual. Both are great cars.

I like my Challenger it has the cool factor that retro 70s look. But one of the things I liked about the charger is the unique wide LED taillight very distinct and recognizable at night from far away. Other than that challenger wins in most aspects.

Charger looks better in my opinion. Way more lines and edges in the charger. The challenger is too blocky for me. Also if your going scat or hellcat the charger is a lot easier to control as far as fishtailing and taking off. That charger just looks mean as fuck.
I really was set to get the charger daytona and after exploring different trim levels and how i wanted the car to look. Decided on the challenger with the TA trim and absolutely love it. The visibility was a concern and was why i leaned toward the charger but ive gotten used to that. Destroyer gray with the satin black hood, roof, and deck lid just sets it all off

The biggest thing for me is the cost used, currently. Can't afford a whole lot of car, and the 06-10 Charger R/T seems to be going for around $5k near me, whereas the same years and trim for the challenger is $13k+ and it's hard to find one in a manual, which is something I really want

I love both cars, but I needed a vehicle for transportation of 4 adults and never considered a 2-door. The Scat Pack Charger is the most bang for the buck out there in the 4-door sedan market.
Charger is used by cops!!!! Point blank period! The challenger looks like NO other car out today! FYI people think the 2019 SS front end resembles a charger! 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ The Challenger is the TRUE muscle car! Looks & sound! I’ve tried a 2019 R/T charger! The 2019 challenger R/T is always louder in the exhaust then the charger! Must be the back end pipe set up! But I will tell you the charger handles just a tad better around corners & turns! 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

Charger looks good from the front and back, but I hate the indentations on the sides of the car. Would look better if they we're vents.
I think you either like them or you don’t.. I actually like them .. the side of the charger is a big area .. but it would probably look good with vents too

Like you said....both great looking cars. However, it does seem like a lot of charger owners say that the only reason they went with the charger is because they needed 4 doors (kids,etc). Challenger is the best looking retro muscle car that ever was, and ever will be. Good vid.

Mike Ford .. have driven both I would say the auto is far superior.. it’s hard for me to say that being a manual guy essentially my whole life but these new automatics are phenomenal 🔥.. faster and more consistent. The drive modes make all the difference 👍
Mike Ford I would suggest you think about manual and first thing you want to do is put in Barton shifter. There is nothing like a manual in a challenger and I had a hurst then changed to Barton and it is pure fun driving it.
I have a 2018 Charger Hellcat, looked at ZL-1, GT 350 and Challenger. Came down to grand kids and needing the room. It is a daily driver and love it

I had a 2016 challenger scat pack that I traded for a 2018 charger scat pack. First I have 2 kids and getting them in and out was a pain. That was the main reason but I have learned parking the bigger charger is easier due to smaller doors. The challenger doors are huge and require a big space to open them. The challenger was raw power feeling. The charger is easier to hook. Both spin the ass end with ease. I do love the looks of both. Getting in and out is so much easier with the charger that it is more livable. Verdict: charger
I've been trying to make a smart buying decision because I know financing either car is gonna be a 5-7 year commitment so I want to choose wisely. I really appreciate the video and your unbiased opinion. I've decided on getting a scat pack 100% but I'm so stuck on either the challenger or charger. I've test drove both (the v6 versions at least) and I loved the comfort of driving the charger, the room and the modernity of the vehicle. but driving the challenger brought such a smile to my face because, hell I was driving my dream car. the feel of driving a muscle car is indescribable and I think that's where the indecisiveness comes from. I'm gonna take a little bit longer to make my decision but I loved your opinion!

@@bradygamberi2878 I bought a 2008 Charger R/T and a year later I financed a 2016 Challenger R/T until the used market got crazy and I sold it back to the dealership for a large profit, I used that money to buy myself a 1984 S-10 and lower it with a nice set of centreline wheels lol. Currently saving for a 383 engine swap and have a custom ford 9” in the mail

I owned a challenger RT loved the car for what it was. Always wished I had the hellcat form. Sold it 3 years ago and decided to save my money for a hellcat. I ordered a charger hellcat a month ago. I have kids I need 4 doors. Worst part about the challenger was the passenger having to crawl over the driver and front passenger seatbelts to get in the back seat.

I had 2 V6 Challenges and I ordered a wide body Scat Pack Charger. I wanted to change it up, even though I like the look of the Challenger a little better. I’m going to like having 4 doors.
The Demon has an inner cooling system similar to an ice pack that automatically helps cool the engine without cutting other off the engine

there is a video on youtube that covers the weights from 1969 - current and they are nearly identical till the two models in the 80's that where based on the k-car.

Apparently, I've heard that Auto up widows are not installed in the Challenger, is for safety reasons. I can only assume it is because there are no widow frames? Who knows? Great comparison review, Racer!
Fantastic video comparing the challenger/charger.I am that person who loves them both,but for different reasons.I got to admit you gave a super accurate video of what goes on in my head when I'm comparing the 2 cars. . And hands down the charger is the meanest 4 door on the planet,but the challenger is the meanest 2 door old school muscle feel.Ya cant go wrong with either one.In a perfect word I'd have the charger and challenger ,I'd actually like a challenger with th m6...I'm talking about taking my manual out and just enjoying through gears and having funnn.There are no losers here,but there is loads of fun in any one of these cars
