I hate that these good moments are so far between each other. Like in Obi-Wan when Reva betrayed Vader, she kept swinging her saber at him, but Vader never drew his blade and kept dodging her attacks. he then snatched her saber out of her hands, broke it in two, then tossed the other half back to her. he then ignited the other half so they could duel. he's going to give her a fair chance... but nothing else. he's going to remind her who is the baddest of the bad here. Then in Ashoka, Anakin switching back and forth between himself and Vader every time lightning flashed. These moments are the only reasons I watch these shows.

He’s a boogeyman of few words who looms over everyone with his presence and implications and does very bad things to people if allowed to. If he’s not executing someone he’s reminding them he has the power to do so as The Emperors hatchet man.

I disagree. He made the ground below Obi-Wan break like the glass in the video. When Vader fought the Inquisitor that was the youngling who wanted to kill Vader, he always knew. He even said that he had noticed Reva's feeling and need for revenge.
I like the outlaw scene, but the hallway moment in Rogue one is leagues above this. Vader didn’t just spook rebels with glass, he was an active threat that used any and all means to subdue The rebels in the most brutally efficient way possible. Outlaw scene is more a display of superiority, showing how Director Barcha is all bark no bite. Good scene, but Hallway takes top spot for terror.
And then there’s Fallen Order’s Vader mine, which firmly establishes that the player - after all the effort they went through to regain their powers and grow stronger - is no where close to taking down the Empire in the most slasher villain way possible.

Worth noting that this ISB director filled in the spot held once by a general who fought alongside Vader in the Clone Wars and ultimately died with the first Death Star. I'm sure at least a part of Vader's actions here was some emotional payback for the guy filling in a place held by a man several times his better.

It's so sad because there clearly were like 10 guys trying to make a good star wars game, there a genuinely some great parts of Outlaws, the environments, the reputation mechanics, but it's buried under the slop produced by the 80000 other AI robots working at Ubislop

Tbf, the deeper bass tone is more from recent projects involving Vader, as a side effect of JEJ getting a deeper voice with age. This is technically more in line with how Vader sounded in the OT.

For some time already "ISB vs Inquisitorius" is a recurring theme in SW media. I would like if it wasn't just for a "cool" factor or "look, empire so bad it's institutions undermine each other" moment, but a build up for a story, that will show us the end of Inquisition.

That has always been a thing. The intelligence agencies throughout star wars history always had issues with their force user "Superiors". Whenever i see ISB vs the Inquisitors. It reminds me of the Imperial Agent story in SWTOR. Imperial intelligence doing a fantastic job but are always interrupted by the Sith and their games. Sliro might be in the right here. But again, imperial intelligence agencies and the sith are not a good mix, Sith wanna see immediate results, while Intelligence agencies must perform their operations carefully and precise... these two have always disliked each other.
That is how totalitarian regimes often operate. Rivalries between branches of military or between various security agencies tend to become hindrance in such a system, because they have to vie for influence and power with the entrenched political leadership.
Everything about Darth Vader emodies a great management style: Direct and simple instructions, tell me what resources you need and you will have it; I want outcomes, not excuses. Also, the threat of a death that is more excruciatingly painful that you can ever imagine is a great team motivational exercise 🤣 True story though: After I saw Rogue One I was telling a friend about it and his son (about 15) yo) pipes up and says "Man, that was dumb. Despite his father line being kind of overplayed now, but Rogue One really did bring Vader back in a freshly scary way in the 2010's long after he was portrayed as a joke/weak in a lot of pre Disney works.

@@ark204No, most games with stealth mechanics require the player to break line of sight before you can hide. Otherwise the enemies will walk right up to your hiding spot and start attacking. This game doesn't do that.
I like how as the officer is boasting, Vader just walks forwards towards the case, staring at it as the officer gives his report, even as he argues, never noticing the cracking glass behind him. Vader never speaks, only, when necessary. The saying goes, never interrupt your enemy while they're hanging themselves.

Agreed although I expected to have it spoiled for me at some point since I’m waiting for a sale. Still wish I could have seen the surprise even if it’s no major surprise anymore when Vader shows up in everything now.

This Vader is very intimidating! I like it! He keeps on getting more and more of a menace with each new rendering of his persona! RIP James Earl Jones.

@@ark204No, most games with stealth mechanics require the player to break line of sight before you can hide. Otherwise the enemies will walk right up to your hiding spot and start attacking. This game doesn't do that.

Good lord. That's straight out of Avatar, with Katara confronting her mother's killer.
I like how as the officer is boasting, Vader just walks forwards towards the case, staring at it as the officer gives his report, even as he argues, never noticing the cracking glass behind him. Vader never speaks, only, when necessary. The saying goes, never interrupt your enemy while they're hanging themselves.
Vader coming in at the end of games/movies/tv shows/novels/comics has gotten very old, very fast.
One of the few things Disney generally does well is how they potray Vader. They capture his menace and power quite well.
