    I have never heard of protein overload before, thank you for sharing this topic. I need to use a clarifying shampoo more often. I love tea tree shampoos…anything that tingles really lol

    I use clarifying shampoo and give my hair a 6 weeks break and start with a low protein conditioner every 2 weeks or 3 weeks. Start light I would only use a heavy protein treatment if my hair was in protective style for months . When your washing hair in these time you need deep moisture conditioner to keep hair really moisturize during these bad states your hair going through specially if your going to use clarify shampoo . Please note to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner when you use a protein base conditioner or treatment cause it will get drying .

      Yes Ma’am!! That is awesome advice 💗. You are so right, protein can have drying effects. Important to balance it back out with the moisture!! Thank you for watching and thank you for your helpful advice ✨

    Just sub..
    Great work love the video. It's good not to use products that are loaded with protein like shampoo conditioners leeben's and also hair mask these can really overtime destroy your hair not only will you have protein overload but it will allow your hair to become dry and very brittle..
    I did do videos about this a couple of years ago about protein overload and I see a lot of women with waste live hair or a little over the shoulders cut the hair at least 3 or 4" our hair doesn't need proteins as often you don't have to put a protein treatment as often you can stretch those protein treatments out if your hair is is damaged that's the only time you should be using Protein treatments if your hair is healthy then you don't need proteins every single month you can do a protein treatment at least once or twice out the year :) thank you ever kindly God-bless you🙏🏽💞💞💞

      You are right! For some people it’s not needed as much. I’m definitely one of those people. My hair does best with LIGHT protein. Not the heavy stuff! May God continue to bless you as well my love 🙏💕

    thank you for this video, i watched a few protein overload vids and no one mentioned the clarifying shampoo being good for reversing this issue! on my last wash day when i initially noticed my protein overload, i used a clarifying shampoo (only bc my scalp seemed extra dirty) and i skipped the olaplex and creme of nature and i had sooo much less breakage! i thought i was onto something until i had ANOTHER setback today w tons of breakage. i used creme of nature plex defense (thinking it was just a cheaper version of olaplex 3, NOT) my hair broke off so damn bad while blow drying i wanted to cry. my hair is in a horrible state now, ill have to cut it to damn near shoulder length smh. from now on im def sticking to moisture only and using these tips!

      I’m so sorry you went through that. I went through a similar experience and recently cut my hair too. Your hair will definitely bounce back now that you’ve figured out the issue. I’m happy this was helpful

    Hello Sis Raveen. A new UK subscriber. Thank you for the video. At the moment I am using JBCoil with honey as a pre-poo then went in with Paul Mitchell-Two Clarifying shampoo. I have read that clarifying shampoo should be used monthly. Wondered what your thoughts were on this? Also, can list products that are protein free please? Which help protein overload.

      Hey love! I think once a month for clarifying is good. Try that and see how your hair responds. Lately I have also been using the shea moisture Manuka Honey and Madura Oil Shampoo in rotation with my clarifying shampoo. I also like this conditioner and have been using this mixed with oils to deep condition. I love the As I Am so much moisture leave in and moisturizer as well. Hope this helps 💕

    🤗🙌 maybe one day we can discuss the topic of alopecia a lot of people don't know about that and it is and can be sad

      @RaveenCierrea  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mom! I try to talk about things I have or have been through. I’ve never dealt with alopecia so I don’t have much experience of my own to talk about. It is sad and difficult for anyone who is going through this. Thank you for the idea 💗

    Has anyone found a great clarifying shampoo that does not contain protein? The Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo contains soy protein. 😣
