Pretty quiet on this video, Mike. The audio quality is on point and when I jack the volume up it's crystal.
Appreciate the oldschool tips, i'm in my second year as a business owner as a painter. Willing to always learn new things. I do think i'll stick with the reversable tips simply because the availability is just there, but when I have a few extra bucks i'm going to setup one of my gun only for flat tips.
I'm learning how to be cost efficient. I'm a solo venture most day and hearing your words of encouragement of just losing the masker and touching up with a brush later is something I needed to hear.
When I do price heavy it's usually on things that require a lot of physical man hours, like scraping, sanding, priming and caulking. Which seams to be a lot of houses these day. Figuring out how to keep the price low on that as well, too.

Great job, painting a house with that must be really difficult.

Hi Mike, long time subscriber here. Is a flat tip good for SW loxon paint? Loxon spec sheet calls for .21 tip. Tys.

I use 21 flat tips. you can use either. I have sprayed with an 8 21 many times also 8 23

Hi there,Im about to paint a big rough stucco house, the stucco has color but never been painted, planning to use problock from sherwin-williams and Duration flat for finish, would you recommend an elastomeric paint or primer instead? House is in the dessert so there's windy and hot weather conditions

probably dont need elastomeric. just 100% acrylic. I only use elastomeric on smooth adobe look stuff that has lots of cracks or lots of hairlines in a wall. But never been painted stucco you would need to prime for elastomeric. 100% acrylic no primer necessary on self priming material.

duration is self priming. On rough stucco no need for problock primer. only duration just like I did in this video. No primer because it is self priming on rough surfaces.

What pressure exterior? Dainty open spray

I adjust pressure by feel. spray it until there is no fingers but just a small fan edge. Too much pressure and the paint is bouncing back at you.

Staying true to the flat tip eh , they never have any 517 flats at the store and they just laugh when I ask for them

If you have proper filters. you dont have plug ups so why would you need a reversa tip. It is only for guys who get plug ups becuase they dont have their stuff setup right. and the companies prey on you for that making you spend $30 for a tip that could cost 5.
