    The Melt Banana guitarist uses a DD-5 and DD-6 on his pedal board to do this.

      he also uses a whammy after the delay to pitch the repeat

    Nice job! Super clean and informative demo with no ego B.S. ...often times when normal dudes do vids like this it ends up being more about them than the pedal. Well done sir, and thank you for not giving me your take on Josh Homme's sound!

    Awesome video and great demo of the glitch and repeat feature. Paul Gilbert showed this feature on his rig rundown.

    That's a fucking sweet board and what a great video, Sir! Also, you gotta thank Eric Emm (bassist of Don Cab) for introducing that "trick" into the math rock world!

    Ok i need this pedal. Im shopping for bass delay currently for my last pedalboard slot. (I highly doubt it will be my last pedal though, said that too many rimes before already)

    Awesome! Nick rules.. Is this possible if tap tempo pedal is plugged in, and also possible in any delay setting including reverse mode?

    This is a proper demo. Well done, really well done. Super cool playing.
    Do the DD 5 & 6 bend the pitch as you turn the delay knob while it's sounding? Specially in hold/loop mode?
    Thanks and congrats

    I can't get my DD5 to stack like in the video (overdub idk), whenever I try to hold the pedal the looper stops. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

    does this pedal go full wet on hold mode, killing the dry signal? like, if a note or chord were to be glitched with the mix fully clockwise would everything but the captured signal die out? i'm REALLY hoping it does, somewhat like a HEXE Revolver. please halp, zach!! :^)

    • @Filaqosik
      @Filaqosik 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have one, it doesn't. it gets louder than the dry signal if you go past 3 o clock or so but it doesn't kill it

    How i can do this on boss dd20

  • @markbrown9216

    Great video! I've been eyeing a DD-6 for stutter effects. One thing I'm confused about is if it's simple to turn the loop playback off without overdubbing another loop on top of the one playing (the manual makes it sound like pressing the pedal while your first loop is playing will capture and play back an overdubbed loop). This video definitely makes it look like you can simply press the pedal quickly one time in order to stop playback (as opposed to a double tap). Just in case I'm missing something, can you confirm that's how it works?

    Thanks my dude. I noticed some Japanese guitar player had this on his board and he made glitchy sounds like this during a set. I thought he used this for his main delay but I got thinking "hey that should technically be possible with a dd3". Now I have a reason to put it back on my board.

    Really cool video man! Simple and intelligent. Are you sure about dd-7 doesn't have it? And last... what's the difference between dd-3 and dd-6 in this particularly preset, because I saw Jamie Hince(dd-3) doing it the same trick but not in a hold mode so... maybe dd7 can do it too? Here's the proof th-cam.com/video/S2mfpdbdV3U/w-d-xo.htmlm19s greetings and respect from Mexico!

    • @FostersLab
      @FostersLab 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are indeed correct! The DD-3 has a recording time determined by the delay time. Less flexibility, although it allows to change the playing speed by turning the delay knob.
      The DD-7 has a "press to start recording, press to start looping" mode, so it won't do very short loops.
