    I still prefer the shots from Huawei Mate 50 pro. Considering the fact that the latest Flagships of vivo and xiaomi are equipped with larger camera sensor than the one with Mate 50 Pro, but mate 50 pro managed to compete with this latest hardware. Another one, I have viewed the detailed review of DXOMark where the Mate 50 pro is enjoying the top spot and indeed that this phone brings new era in mobile photography as it follows the steps of its predecessors in mate series and p series.
    Come to think of this... What if there is no US ban made against Huawei and what if Huawei will continue to manufacture its own Kirin chipset and have that latest and larger camera sensor in its latest Flagship Phone? Imagine how far this company can go. However, I really admire how persistent this company and they manage to innovate using the only available resources they have. Kudos to Huawei! ✨💪 Still the king in mobile photography. 👑😎

    The Vivo X90 Pro + gives the best result! It just looks overprocessed everytime and doesn't look natural

    • @vladimirkraus1438
      @vladimirkraus1438 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      You need to switch ON the Zeiss natural mode. In this test, the mode was OFF. Everything will look very natural with Zeiss.

    • @Havsue
      @Havsue ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vladimirkraus1438 i think default mode is okay and not much different, default mode is just more eye catching imo, not too overprocessing or oversaturated, but u can turn it on for like captured natural landscapes where you want it to be as natural

    • @flo_h_96
      @flo_h_96 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Havsue there is a big difference between these modes! Zeiss natural colour gives you a natural looking photo with perfect white balance, contrast and colour saturation in 9 out of 10 times. No other phone can do that. In default contrast is clearly higher and overall the pictures get to warm in most photos

    • @flo_h_96
      @flo_h_96 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's actually the opposite there is no phone which makes more natural looking photos than Vivo X90 Pro+. Due to the superior hardware of the X90 Pro+ compared to every other phone the software doesn't need to process the photos that much and you can see that. You get more details than with other phones without over sharpening

    • @vladimirkraus1438
      @vladimirkraus1438 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@flo_h_96 I would disagree with "perfect" white balance, quite often it is off. Especially when a part of the photo is lit with sunshine and other part is in shade. Then the part in shade gets a bit blue. Which is not real. Not even in Zeiss mode.

    No one is talking about Huawei's portrait mode especially at 5:51. If you look closely on the background blur, it has that natural "bokeh balls" effect, where highlights are spread out instead of averaging them out. If you have mirrorless or DSLR, you know what I mean. 😏

  • @thedrunkengardener9367
    @thedrunkengardener9367 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    That was great!
    Each brand has really done well.
    I really would have thought that the variable aperture on the mate 50 pro would have gave it and advantage in low light photos and videos.
    And Vivo's Zoom prowess without a periscope is really surprising.
    When it's gardening /drinking season, macrophotography is my thing. All those flowers veggies and little bugs.
    So I would most likely want the Mate 50 Pro.

    just do the social media camera blind test. in your own scoring and opinion huawei always loses. it's more reliable if we see results from combined opinion from other people. just do the poll.

  • @flo_h_96
    @flo_h_96 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great comparison! Huawei must have a crazy warm tone as nearly all pictures are clearly warmer than the pictures of the other two and that although Zeiss natural colour was off in the Vivo which means the Vivo pictures already are warmer than they should be to keep it natural! Other than the Huawei does a good job considering that the hardware isn't as good as on the other two! Xiaomis white balance is so much of sometimes that it would disqualify for me! If I need to edit a big amount of photos afterwards because it looks so strange than what's the purpose on using a phone? Then I can use a mirrorless camera as well. Vivo has a great edge detection for human subjects in portrait mode but they need to sort out the errors it had with not blurring the the background consistently! The fact that you can adjust the amount of background blur in portrait mode on the Vivo and the fact the background blur looks very natural makes it better than Huawei for me, which might have a stronger blur sometimes, but for me it's a bit overdone. Also reproducing the right skin tone Vivo would beat Huawei if Zeiss natural colour would be on. Xiaomi 12s Ultra in general has a very bad software and that won't change anymore as the 13 Pro is already out in china and soon in Europe! Huawei did a extraordinary job in improving their camera by software updates compared to when it got released because back then it was horrible and now it's one of the best! Still Vivo X90 Pro+ has by far the best and most consistent camera system and that right from the launch. There is good chance that the few very little problems will get solved with software updates and therefore extends it's lead over the other phones

    I hate that you use the not so accurate modes, why even make comparisons? The AI processed images doesn't look good on either of them. The accurate modes on the cameras will show which one of the are the most true to life and accurate!
    To use the cameras overly processed "social media" modes are a waste of time.

    People need to stop taking human portrait shots on wide lenses. 27mm destroys faces with all the distortion it brings. The vivo is great for portraits because it has both a 2x and a 3.5x telephoto, both being relatively large sensors. Use them.

    Thanks a lot for this comparison! I was impressed by image zoom comparison. I believe that you could add to this section the comparison of the images taken by every gadget in “standard” and “full” sensor resolutions to find out if massively advertised 50/108/200 Mp sensors do their job as we expect them to do. I tried this with Xiaomi 12T in the shop and found the difference between standard and hi-res images be almost invisible. Remove post-processing, and the answer is - binning! They just cheat us! 50 Mp is really 12.5 Mp with 4 pixels binned under 1 color filter! Here you can say: “Hey, guy, Xiaomi 12T has 108 Mp main sensor!” Right. But in reality it is the same 12 Mp sensor with 9 physical pixels binned under each of 3 color filters! That is why you see no difference in sharpness/details between 12 Mp (standard or default resolution) image and the one taken in “full” resolution scaled to the same size of any detail in the frame. This is Marketing, son! So, the tech goes more complicated, it gives us no real advantage in image quality, it requires more processing, including processing time, processors capacity, energy... Shall I mention that it is more expensive? And shall I ask you who pays for this?

Question, though: If one were only shooting RAW for the photos, which would havet he best output? Would it change your scores at all? I typically only shoot RAW for images which are really going to matter. Thanks!

    As an average guy who loved taking portrait photo of my family using galaxy z flip 4, I can fairly say having to own another phone xiaomi 12s ultra IS THE WORST EVER compared to my lower end hardware galaxy z flip 4. Xiaomi's post processing of portrait shots are horrible.

For example Xiaomi takes second place and Huawei takes third place but Xiaomi fucks up the most important features. Colors in Portrait, colors of human subjects and main camera was all over the place. If people look pale like zombies or the image is too dark, who gives a shit about the slow motion that gave those extra 3 points?
    White balance, exposure, details and colors are way more important. And Huawei is by far better than Xiaomi.
