Something which you might have missed is the lack of battery health information on native Android, having to install 3rd party apps just to find out your battery health is so frustrating.
I just wanna say google's pixel phones no longer use aosp (what is actually stock android) and this is part of why android updates are a lot less interesting. Many features that would have previously be added into aosp for other oems to take advantage of now are pixel exclusive features.

I love Smart Launcher, and would love to see better integration from Android with the recents menu, currently I just use my phone with animations disabled, mainly because that removes the horrible delay that is introduced to the third party launchers when switching apps.
I just want a way to use "pro" camera apps with full sensor resolution but Google refuses to unlock the permissions for devs. Zoom fx, protake etc used to be an amazing replacement for shooting RAW with full manual controls when sensors were smaller but now that they're all limited to 12mp while sensors are consistently sitting around the 50mp mark they're basically unusable due to the huge drop off in image quality.
i'd love to see the flashlight slider. i know the api exists on the newer versions and on supported phones (i'm using flashdim on my P8P) but i'd like to see them integrate it into the quick toggle like how apple has it. and one other minor thing, tapping on the status bar to go to the top of the page, really minor but makes a lot of improvement to the day to day usage.
Number one problem I have with Android is it's insanely high resource usage. There needs to be a kind of Android Lite with only the bare essentials without having to install a custom rom.
The biggest beef i have with Oxygen OS post OnePlus 8 is moving the media output toggle to notification drawer 3 dots. It was very nicely placed beneath the volume adjustment notification, where you can easily see which blutooth device was connected to blutooth and toggle from there itself. Tried getting to the thread of this setting in OnePlus community, but didn't find one. It's utter nonsense to switch output from oneplace, then going to altogether a diffrent place on the screen to adjust volume after switching output.
The volume panel and the odd animations with custom launchers in stock Android are pretty frustrating. Hopefully, Google developers will address this issue after watching the video.

huge problem with android is performance optimizations, there's so many android phone brands out there that there's no way to optimize android for each one of them. android will probably never surpase ios's performance.
iOS is built for iPhones, both managed by Apple. Google also has been making phones and tablets since 2017. (Previously in Nexus series Google partnered with another phone manufacturer to make their phones.)
Google should clean up the play store. If an app isn’t up to standards (also design wise) it must go. I love the Pixel, but so many apps behave much more reliable on my iPhone 12 mini. Quality over quantity and I would ditch my iPhone within an hour.

When did android auto stop allowing sideloading, you could always enable it in the dev options of android auto.

Using focus mode can turn off notifications from certain apps. You can set it to turn on / off on a schedule
