Two options, either threaten the charged moonlight to bait out PA, Cancel the charged moonlight animation with AA, then double moonlight slash into charged wuerger! Or, start punish with light slash, cancel PA with AA, into charged wuerger. Just dont forget to start charging AFTER AA as it resets any charged weapons by "not worrying about impact decay" I am just referring to the initial decay on most weapons, not the delay where all impact begins to recover. Lastly, dont forget to reactivate hover after using moonlight, especially for punishes as you can qb gap close much better
Nice! I made a similar build on VE-20B. Two auroras just like you have, a hand missile and moonlight. Surprisingly, my defensive states are still pretty good despite the bad generator. I use the same core with with alba legs. I like 20B for the super fast aurora spam and max damage on moonlights. Definitely super satisfying to hit those charged moonlights that chunk half their health haha:)
@@GladiatorKirion meta builds are pretty much losing matchups for most builds (hence why they r meta) but best strat is to avoid charged moonlight and double slash (only use one slash sparingly), focus on using height to drain en and make missiles hit behind shields while also using your qb to dodge zimms (qb reload is fast enougg to dodge both shots usually)
@@Cleptomancer main stats that make gills a better option are QB EN cost , Upward thrust, and upward thrust EN cost! Essentulially the alula burns through our en capacity too quickly, as well as rises too slowly when the lamm may need quick access to height
just a few minutes ago I was fiddling with a build of mine from last year with a similar concept. basho charged moonlight for big damage, but uses two truenos and a hand-missile launcher. mid-heavy weight bipedal. it can deal with kites and rats, but isn't defenseless in melee either. but now I wonder if I should try using the wuerger with that build too. giving up the missiles could be dangerous though, I guess. having only truenos to hit people who stay away wouldn't be too ideal. I'm nowhere near being good in pvp btw, last time I went to the arena was last year and I never bothered going past B rank. so if the build's concept looks dumb and bad for the current meta (or even for the old one) I can understand >_>
@@cridus_ youll tend to run into issues when running more than one firing stance weapon with bipeds as they arent beefy enough to soak up damage while firing them (wuerger doesnt count as it can non firing stance). The issue is holding still for that long means youre eating damage every time you fire if the opponent knows this. The truenos tend to perform better either on tanks, or to a lessor extent on kites that can space supremely well!

@@InAVanByTheRivr very fast kites and one very fast aggressive lamm with bazookas, bomb launcher and the plasma whip. I did try with tetrapod legs but I tried the medium ones. maybe I should give in and make it a light build.
@@speedlimitviolationspecialist haha it definitely can be hard countered, but at the same, time I beat some of the top leader board players with this build. But sure, it can be countered particularily by shields. C'est La Vie
@@InAVanByTheRivr idk man, like i said i like the idea but the combo itself seems like a pain to pull off and doesnt do the damage to justify it, plus every decent melee build will probably beat it without much trouble
@@speedlimitviolationspecialistthe combo charged combo isnt necessary to pull off on faster builds where it might be harder to set up (2x slash moonlight into charged wuerger, or moonlight counter AA into wuerger is sufficent). As for melee builds, quite the opposite see 16:40 . The build is very strong against and you can see this in the pvp matches. Hover qbs with the lamm speed make melee lunges very unreliable. The charged wuerger is also a strong melee lunge shutdown tool particularily when getting EN back Lastly defensive builds running AA is a hard counter to melee combos thx to assault boost reversal tech

How does Alula boosters stack against gills on Quads? I feel like Alula is faster, but am I missing something? 🤔
