I'll say this. I enjoy a grind in a game... When the drop rates are good. Warframe drop rates are bearable while Destiny drop rates are absolutely terrible. The even have drop rate increases for dungeon/raid exotics. Unfortunately, the increase is so bad that even having them, some people have done 80 runs of a dungeon and still not got the exotic. Meanwhile grinding primes is far better and you can choose your reward instead of getting nothing at all.

Hate bp on my second stalker ever is as lucky as I've ever gotten in this game. And i guess an unrolled crit damage dread riven when it was practically uncontested as the best bow being the first one i ever got.

Legit one of the most detailed and thorough wikis out there and it will give you a ton of b tips on less explained mechanics like Gundition Overload and item drop rates. Just be sure to heed the spoiler warnings for the story and you'll be fine.
And something most don’t mention, if you go to Antifandom and access the warframe wiki through it there isn’t any ads that slow the site down. Very useful for quick info
Yes, the wiki is great. A word of warning: The elemental damage system was overhauled this summer (along with armor and shield changes to enemies), which means that many of the pages explaining those aspects might be out of date for a while, before they are rewritten. There's a lot to do!
As someone who's been playing this game for 9 years, I keep saying that this is the most impressive free to play game I have ever seen, considering the amount of content, the love and effort the devs put into the game, and how polished everything is (there are some bugs, but compared to some triple A titles that we have had in recent years this game is VERY well made), I have always tried to convince people to play it, as they will be astonished. Seeing you play this game and love everything about it so much, and watching you progress through the story, grinding good loot and having a great community behind you to help, it really makes me happy. Your videos really make my day, everyday, seeing someone love something I've been passionate about for years. Keep up the great work man, the game only gets better and better from here!!
it's easy to run the Capture solo on Ivara with 4 keys, stay invisible and use spoiler mode to zip between tiles. A Fulmin or Kuva Nukor or something of equal quality is good enough to quickly take down the target if your amp play isn't strong enough yet.
Railjack is one of the most fun and underplayed game modes. I would love for there to be a grinder vs corpus cross exterminate railjack invasion mission.
They have the ship-to-ship tilesets for the invasion missions as well, so you could even do a follow-up mission like the Corpus Proxima missions, where you fight from one ship to the other. *Criminally* underused tiles, super cool to do the boarding pods or cross over bits of space.
@@deluded2630 it ruins allot of space combat and make the railjack useless, why you need to use the space ship when you can literally just teleport the whole map in less than 2 seconds also it ruins the open world as it makes any means of transportation and the in map teleports useless

It always suprises me how much there is in this game and its all free, it took a while to get polished but they did it and its awesome now, especially railjack
you've mentioned a couple times in your videos about the new player experience but i think its worth noting that your new player experience isn't what most people get, you got gifted a shit ton of stuff, most importantly weapon and warframe slots and orokin catalysts and reactors, all of which are the biggest bottlenecks for progress that most new players experience, i don't think its a bad thing it lets you show off the best the game has to offer but you should keep that in mind when you mention the new player experience so you aren't giving people the wrong idea
@al3xz544 It absolutely does change a lot for a new player or a new free only player. Catalysts, Reactors and weapon/warframe slots early on are not easy to get and especially slots bottleneck new players and often makes them think game is pay to progress at that point which just makes many quit.

He may have grinded mats and stuff himself but even then he’s had a constant suite of boosters active which new players don’t get other than the ones the game gives out. And the most important thing he didn’t have to grind is platinum. Platinum is the single most hindering variable to the new player experience bc of slots and potatoes bc of how rare they are early game.
@al3xz544 Being gifted Warframe and weapons isn't really a problem imo. It's the slots he's been getting as well as all the Reactors, Catalyst, Formas, and relics he's gotten. The game only gives so many during a given Nightwave and Alerts. He'll never know of the struggle of getting rid of old weapons and frames to room for new ones. To put it in perspective on this video alone from just looking at his foundry he has 85 Warframe slots. That's worth 1700 plat alone and there's currently only like 50 unique frames in the game so he's set for the next couple years on warframe slots. His relic situation is also absurd as his chat has given him so many and if he wants a vaulted frame instead of waiting for it to be unvaulted chat will just farm it with him while he's grinding relics casually at the same time. I was flabbergasted when I heard he had saryn prime cooking knowing the last time was unvaulted was 2022 because either chat traded it to him (which I'm sure didn't happen) or he was grinding relics and his squad decided to focus farm for him with or without his knowledge and he just kept on taking the pieces.

To be honest, you could roll that Torid riven forever and not do much better. I’d save your kuva and run it as is. Once you unlock the incarnon version of the weapon, that riven will do all content you’ll ever need it to.
@@NFZKAZE at max it'll reduce 80% of your shield but your shield gate is 1 second longer if it break 100% of your shield (normal is 0.3 sec) works really well with gauss that have faster shield recharge passive. gauss can abuse the shield gate easily.
It's been so much fun to watch your progress on TH-cam as a Warframe veteran, sucks to see people have been giving you a hard time. I think part of the Warframe community is guilty of fetishising how "bad" the new player experience is. The start of the game IS where most people check out, the modding system especially. But it's not NEARLY as bad as people claim and has improved a lot in recent years. That, and while Warframe is great for making it pretty easy to play it completely F2P, I think people take that too far and start believing if you pay and/or are gifted ANYTHING that invalidates the experience (it does not). (Originally wanted to comment this on the subreddit before the thread was locked)
Why do the TH-cam comments seem so negative lately? This is a guy that talks about enjoying a new game that we all love. All this talk online about one of the most positive communities in gaming and yet almost everything here is just criticism to a guy that happens to get lucky drops and is gifted some shit. I understand the vast majority of people don’t have this many cosmetics, potatoes or slots early on but so what? Why does that invalidate his gameplay experience with the lore, quests, and warframe farming? Just let the man enjoy his game.
i feel like people are just annoyed he is just "doing what he is being told". he re-rolled the ignis riven... even though he doesnt even know what an ignis is. he isnt exploring the game organically. he did the sacrifice before ever doing 1 vault. he is playing the game. but when its this handholdy. it stop being about him enjoying the game, and more about chat trying to flex and control how he should play.
Love the videos Mactics! Watching you fall in love with this game has made me once again pull out my old main account out of a reborn interest in the game. Never let things the bad actors say disqualify your achievements in this game. There will always be people who push back against new people but their opinions are not fact, and they are certainly not law either. Dude, you first seeing Mesa’s Regulators made me feel so friggin nostalgic. Mesa is my favorite frame alongside Protea. I’m loving the content dude, and if I could offer some advice on Mesa, max out her duration and strength.
There's a few times you mention the new player experience and how you feel it was not a bad as people say. Someone has already mentioned that you got gifted some important stuff early on, but I'd argue that most of those aren't things that you need until you've already been hooked at the least. There are two things that you had that others didn't. You had chat there to explain things to you, but other streamers also had that and they still felt lost early on. The big thing for you was that a lot of stuff just kind of clicked for you in ways it didn't for others. You correctly identified progressing through the starchart as the main thing you should be doing, for example. Many people aren't sure if that's what they should be focusing on, so they feel as if the tasks they are doing are pointless.
I’m glad you mentioned this cause this has been my take as well. I started playing this a year after it released when the new player experience wasn’t as good as it is now and I still was able to progress perfectly fine. Mactics has the ingenuity in this game to just kind of get things. Also the help he has gotten from chat in stream he could get from the global chat or from joining a good clan. I had to restart my progression when I started on PC and the first thing I did after the intro quests was join a clan, they had all the research done and were always willing to carry me through missions or help when I had questions.
Hey Mactics, dunno if you are still reading comments here, but I saw in the WF reddit that apparently you were struggeling with hateful comments and decided to pause warframe content because of it. I am so very sorry to hear that. I've been really enjoying seeing someone I respect as a D2 content creator dive into a game I have enjoyed for over a decade and find so much joy in it. From the videos I had the impression that you mostly got to experience the nice side of the warframe community. I hope you can rekindle your enjoyment of warframe and overcome the negativity that you had to deal with. Take your time, I will be supporting the warframe series whenever it comes back.
Your chat sort of gave you incorrect advice when you were rolling the riven mods. When a weapons riven disposition (the dots) are low, riven mods will barely do anything, and Ignis is one of them with a very low stat. The best stats are NOT damage and crits because there are better mods you can use for that slot instead. Rather, you want UTILITY riven mods, anything that saves you space. For example, toxin and cold on the riven mod which saves you one slot as you now get viral without needing to use two mods. If its over 2 dots, then you can look into going for other stats.
Tip: fire rate is either one of the better stats in the game, or the worst with in betweens for some weapons, and you wish reload was the same… also the best place to farm railjack intrinsics are the void storm variants of survival missions… and you wish it was not required… Edit: also, the railjack intrinsics specifically sometimes grant benefits outside of railjack. 2nd edit: why is it required for railjack intrinsics? 5110, that the amount of them you need to max them all out from 0 to 10
One thing I would recommend doing is traveling to the back of the ship every now and then. While DE straight up told you to do that during War Within, we didn't get that luxury when the quest was first released. Who knows? You might end up triggering a quest doing this the Codex doesn't tell you about.

only if they spent 2990 hours doing nothing but talking. dude has what 3 prime items? maybe 4? no primed mods, and just got a couple of corrupted mods. if you dont have almost every corrupted mod in 3k hours alone, you have HORRENDOUS time management...

@@fr_z_n3727 i have to disagree on certain cases when it comes to what people say is good its either aoe or certain purpose and i cant say kuva/tenet have that many that are better than incarnons or regular weapons ignoring tenet melee (most of them are equally the strongest melees with other weapons) the meta kuva weapons people say are bramma zarr nukor an hek when bramma and zar have ammo issues i dont think they scale well at all compared to most aoe they can take over 10 shots to kill a lvl 300 eximus whilst fully stacked when incarnon or regular aoe weapons can near 1 shot and that isnt including how hard it is to keep it stacked whilst preserving the ammo, and the hek seems to fluctuate between damage constantly theres many times i hit all pellets of secondary fire to the head but it only does 4k or so and rarely one shots with normally 2 or 3 shots needed for lvl 300 eximus best use any other single target like chakhurr, strun, lanka or felarx Then nukor is a worse primer to epitaph and the damage is comparable to occucor whilst theres 4 other beams that do the same thing but better as a primary (and it being primary means you can use a primer aswell for strong enemies when it lacks dmg, a few better choices are (kitgun gaze primary/secondary, glaxion, torid incarnon, boar incarnon, (and the other kitgun i cant remember the name) Plus occucor has a higher ceiling than nukor but is equal otherwise i believe) So theres many things that i would say kuva falls in and tenet has plasmor (for use with mag, yareli, zephyr and volt (volt is a uncommon mention but can keep almost 100% uptime on shots and plasmor highly benefits from crit shield and shock augment. Tenet plinx is amazing and not many like it. The good kuva/tenet weapons are Tonkor chakkhurr kohm quartekk karak Plasmor plinx glaxion spirex tetra Karak and tetra are good but equal to all the other generic full auto Rifles And all the other kuva/tenet are just slightly worse because they get outmatched in 1 way or another (or dont have much use)

Your new player experience was a LOT smoother than most. I spent a lot of time reading the wiki, grinding plat and hoarding potatoes before I was really comfortable on slots and such like you are now. That said, building a community to try and help people who joined after you is a great way to kinda pay it forward. Try taking a newbie under your wing once you know the game inside and out, it's a lotta fun.

Stalker is a bastard and the streamer loot is real. Im still missing 2 stalker weapons after 1600 hours. Great playthrough btw, never been this attached to a warfame playthrough before.
Throughout September there will be mission Alerts for corrupted mods so you dont have to entirely rely on Deimos vaults. Bro it took me fuckin 1400+ hours to get Hate to drop from Stalker and you've gotten every Stalker weapon in like a month. Streamer loot man ffs lmao
tbh the new player experience wasn't so bad IMO but its not good either. it took me a couple of TH-cam videos till this day to understand most of the content in warframe. but i must say it's kinda smart for them not to put so much into the new player experience. it adds alot of traffic to wf content creators who creates guide and stuff for Warframe, so in a way they are kinda helping them.
The polish is well... thanks to the devs simply doing what devs should be doing: listening to players. The PC playerbase for the longest time have always been getting updates first, but unpolished. Then the feedback comes in, devs hop on that immediately, hotfixes go out, and just weeks of polish before the other consoles get their updates. It's since changed to try and match all releases to be the same date but the devs are still quick to respond to feedback and bug reports.

I have one or two Zaw rivens i maybe could scrap as ive never build one. Other ones are for weapons i dont have investment in or don't have the Prime for yet. Either way I dont use Rivens much as they are more like collectibles for me.
Always loved archwing but at the time i played there was literally only like 5 missions in the whole game, and they took it from full 3d combat with no sense of direction, which was awesome, back to regular atmospheric flight combat which wasn't as cool.

You’ll literally get the exact same experience if you join a good clan. A good clan will carry you with weapons, frames, relic runs, info on how to progress, etc. Someone is just crying because they’re jealous over here.

the biggest thing you have as a streamer in the new player experience, is the free relics, so you get a bunch of primes quicker. plus the slots(a bit better since battle pass was added(free btw)) and getting groups together with the same relic.
Apparently he has been way too lucky first riven was torid first lich 40% hek and ephemera (it was 2nd kill and 1st was chakhur chat told him to miss bad call IMO)

True, just have to make sure you are modded enough to handle the debuffs.
it's easy to run the Capture solo on Ivara with 4 keys, stay invisible and use spoiler mode to zip between tiles. A Fulmin or Kuva Nukor or something of equal quality is good enough to quickly take down the target if your amp play isn't strong enough yet.

They have the ship-to-ship tilesets for the invasion missions as well, so you could even do a follow-up mission like the Corpus Proxima missions, where you fight from one ship to the other. *Criminally* underused tiles, super cool to do the boarding pods or cross over bits of space.

you've mentioned a couple times in your videos about the new player experience but i think its worth noting that your new player experience isn't what most people get, you got gifted a shit ton of stuff, most importantly weapon and warframe slots and orokin catalysts and reactors, all of which are the biggest bottlenecks for progress that most new players experience, i don't think its a bad thing it lets you show off the best the game has to offer but you should keep that in mind when you mention the new player experience so you aren't giving people the wrong idea
@al3xz544 It absolutely does change a lot for a new player or a new free only player. Catalysts, Reactors and weapon/warframe slots early on are not easy to get and especially slots bottleneck new players and often makes them think game is pay to progress at that point which just makes many quit.

He may have grinded mats and stuff himself but even then he’s had a constant suite of boosters active which new players don’t get other than the ones the game gives out. And the most important thing he didn’t have to grind is platinum. Platinum is the single most hindering variable to the new player experience bc of slots and potatoes bc of how rare they are early game.

Being gifted Warframe and weapons isn't really a problem imo. It's the slots he's been getting as well as all the Reactors, Catalyst, Formas, and relics he's gotten. The game only gives so many during a given Nightwave and Alerts. He'll never know of the struggle of getting rid of old weapons and frames to room for new ones. To put it in perspective on this video alone from just looking at his foundry he has 85 Warframe slots. That's worth 1700 plat alone and there's currently only like 50 unique frames in the game so he's set for the next couple years on warframe slots. His relic situation is also absurd as his chat has given him so many and if he wants a vaulted frame instead of waiting for it to be unvaulted chat will just farm it with him while he's grinding relics casually at the same time. I was flabbergasted when I heard he had saryn prime cooking knowing the last time was unvaulted was 2022 because either chat traded it to him (which I'm sure didn't happen) or he was grinding relics and his squad decided to focus farm for him with or without his knowledge and he just kept on taking the pieces.

To be honest, you could roll that Torid riven forever and not do much better. I’d save your kuva and run it as is. Once you unlock the incarnon version of the weapon, that riven will do all content you’ll ever need it to.

@@NFZKAZE at max it'll reduce 80% of your shield but your shield gate is 1 second longer if it break 100% of your shield (normal is 0.3 sec)
works really well with gauss that have faster shield recharge passive. gauss can abuse the shield gate easily.

@vaantsy there's no point in catalyzing shield on gauss, just run fast deflection and you have a constant shield gate with 0 gaps.

I think part of the Warframe community is guilty of fetishising how "bad" the new player experience is.
The start of the game IS where most people check out, the modding system especially.
But it's not NEARLY as bad as people claim and has improved a lot in recent years.
That, and while Warframe is great for making it pretty easy to play it completely F2P, I think people take that too far and start believing if you pay and/or are gifted ANYTHING that invalidates the experience (it does not).

Why do the TH-cam comments seem so negative lately? This is a guy that talks about enjoying a new game that we all love. All this talk online about one of the most positive communities in gaming and yet almost everything here is just criticism to a guy that happens to get lucky drops and is gifted some shit.
I understand the vast majority of people don’t have this many cosmetics, potatoes or slots early on but so what? Why does that invalidate his gameplay experience with the lore, quests, and warframe farming?

Love the videos Mactics! Watching you fall in love with this game has made me once again pull out my old main account out of a reborn interest in the game. Never let things the bad actors say disqualify your achievements in this game. There will always be people who push back against new people but their opinions are not fact, and they are certainly not law either. I heard how people have talked you down for being gifted items, as if other content creators are never gifted items either. Take a break if you need, but I do hope you're never driven out by these horrible people that the rest of the community disown.

There's a few times you mention the new player experience and how you feel it was not a bad as people say. Someone has already mentioned that you got gifted some important stuff early on, but I'd argue that most of those aren't things that you need until you've already been hooked at the least.
There are two things that you had that others didn't. You had chat there to explain things to you, but other streamers also had that and they still felt lost early on. The big thing for you was that a lot of stuff just kind of clicked for you in ways it didn't for others. You correctly identified progressing through the starchart as the main thing you should be doing, for example. Many people aren't sure if that's what they should be focusing on, so they feel as if the tasks they are doing are pointless.
I’m glad you mentioned this cause this has been my take as well. I started playing this a year after it released when the new player experience wasn’t as good as it is now and I still was able to progress perfectly fine. Mactics has the ingenuity in this game to just kind of get things. Also the help he has gotten from chat in stream he could get from the global chat or from joining a good clan. I had to restart my progression when I started on PC and the first thing I did after the intro quests was join a clan, they had all the research done and were always willing to carry me through missions or help when I had questions.

I am so very sorry to hear that. I've been really enjoying seeing someone I respect as a D2 content creator dive into a game I have enjoyed for over a decade and find so much joy in it. From the videos I had the impression that you mostly got to experience the nice side of the warframe community.
I hope you can rekindle your enjoyment of warframe and overcome the negativity that you had to deal with. Take your time, I will be supporting the warframe series whenever it comes back.

Cool video Mactics! As always my favorite warframe and destiny 2 youtuber.
Your chat sort of gave you incorrect advice when you were rolling the riven mods. When a weapons riven disposition (the dots) are low, riven mods will barely do anything, and Ignis is one of them with a very low stat. The best stats are NOT damage and crits because there are better mods you can use for that slot instead. Rather, you want UTILITY riven mods, anything that saves you space.
For example, toxin and cold on the riven mod which saves you one slot as you now get viral without needing to use two mods. If its over 2 dots, then you can look into going for other stats.
Tip: fire rate is either one of the better stats in the game, or the worst with in betweens for some weapons, and you wish reload was the same… also the best place to farm railjack intrinsics are the void storm variants of survival missions… and you wish it was not required…
Edit: also, the railjack intrinsics specifically sometimes grant benefits outside of railjack.
2nd edit: why is it required for railjack intrinsics? 5110, that the amount of them you need to max them all out from 0 to 10

One thing I would recommend doing is traveling to the back of the ship every now and then. While DE straight up told you to do that during War Within, we didn't get that luxury when the quest was first released. Who knows? You might end up triggering a quest doing this the Codex doesn't tell you about.

@@fr_z_n3727 i have to disagree on certain cases when it comes to what people say is good its either aoe or certain purpose and i cant say kuva/tenet have that many that are better than incarnons or regular weapons ignoring tenet melee (most of them are equally the strongest melees with other weapons)
the meta kuva weapons people say are bramma zarr nukor an hek when bramma and zar have ammo issues i dont think they scale well at all compared to most aoe they can take over 10 shots to kill a lvl 300 eximus whilst fully stacked when incarnon or regular aoe weapons can near 1 shot and that isnt including how hard it is to keep it stacked whilst preserving the ammo, and the hek seems to fluctuate between damage constantly theres many times i hit all pellets of secondary fire to the head but it only does 4k or so and rarely one shots with normally 2 or 3 shots needed for lvl 300 eximus best use any other single target like chakhurr, strun, lanka or felarx
Then nukor is a worse primer to epitaph and the damage is comparable to occucor whilst theres 4 other beams that do the same thing but better as a primary (and it being primary means you can use a primer aswell for strong enemies when it lacks dmg, a few better choices are (kitgun gaze primary/secondary, glaxion,
torid incarnon, boar incarnon, (and the other kitgun i cant remember the name)
Plus occucor has a higher ceiling than nukor but is equal otherwise i believe)
So theres many things that i would say kuva falls in and tenet has plasmor (for use with mag, yareli, zephyr and volt (volt is a uncommon mention but can keep almost 100% uptime on shots and plasmor highly benefits from crit shield and shock augment. Tenet plinx is amazing and not many like it.
The good kuva/tenet weapons are
Tonkor chakkhurr kohm quartekk karak
Plasmor plinx glaxion spirex tetra
Karak and tetra are good but equal to all the other generic full auto Rifles
And all the other kuva/tenet are just slightly worse because they get outmatched in 1 way or another (or dont have much use)

Your new player experience was a LOT smoother than most. I spent a lot of time reading the wiki, grinding plat and hoarding potatoes before I was really comfortable on slots and such like you are now.
That said, building a community to try and help people who joined after you is a great way to kinda pay it forward. Try taking a newbie under your wing once you know the game inside and out, it's a lotta fun.

Stalker is a bastard and the streamer loot is real. Im still missing 2 stalker weapons after 1600 hours. Great playthrough btw, never been this attached to a warfame playthrough before.
Throughout September there will be mission Alerts for corrupted mods so you dont have to entirely rely on Deimos vaults.

tbh the new player experience wasn't so bad IMO but its not good either. it took me a couple of TH-cam videos till this day to understand most of the content in warframe. but i must say it's kinda smart for them not to put so much into the new player experience. it adds alot of traffic to wf content creators who creates guide and stuff for Warframe, so in a way they are kinda helping them.

The polish is well... thanks to the devs simply doing what devs should be doing: listening to players.
The PC playerbase for the longest time have always been getting updates first, but unpolished. Then the feedback comes in, devs hop on that immediately, hotfixes go out, and just weeks of polish before the other consoles get their updates. It's since changed to try and match all releases to be the same date but the devs are still quick to respond to feedback and bug reports.

The short version; Thought rivens made those bad weapons better to use. I have one or two Zaw rivens i maybe could scrap as ive never build one. Other ones are for weapons i dont have investment in or don't have the Prime for yet. Either way I dont use Rivens much as they are more like collectibles for me.
Always loved archwing but at the time i played there was literally only like 5 missions in the whole game, and they took it from full 3d combat with no sense of direction, which was awesome, back to regular atmospheric flight combat which wasn't as cool.

You’ll literally get the exact same experience if you join a good clan. A good clan will carry you with weapons, frames, relic runs, info on how to progress, etc. Someone is just crying because they’re jealous over here.

You can carry 4 keys, using Rhino Prime, use bullet jump to negate the slow effect, and don't tell me he got Despair, playing over 10 years and never got it, good luck bro.
I use loki, max invis duration and either sprint speed or parkour velocity mods. Zenurik focus for energy if needed.
They balanced the drop rate of stalker's weapons now, should be more easier to get them.
Base Rhino is good enough, and every new player has access to it at that point too. Good tip anyway.

the biggest thing you have as a streamer in the new player experience, is the free relics, so you get a bunch of primes quicker. plus the slots(a bit better since battle pass was added(free btw)) and getting groups together with the same relic.
